00:00First of all, it is differential. It is absolutely critical for the farmer that they have labor,
00:07immigration. These are folks who oftentimes try to get American labor, are struggling to do so.
00:15And so they absolutely need labor. And if they don't have it, that's yet another element. And
00:23it can be a black swan event for a farmer if they don't have somebody who can help and be on farm.
00:29So when I was asked would I chair this committee, Tim Cook had been chairing it. I had been sitting
00:35on this committee. BRT is comprised of the top, say, 220, 230 corporate CEOs. And I had been sitting
00:45on that committee, the trade committee, the infrastructure committee, et cetera, things
00:48that are important to our business, to our members. And I thought, well, I absolutely will do that.
00:54I'm grateful to be not just speaking for our business, but for the necessity of immigration
01:01reform for businesses and for the economy. And that's the important, I guess, focus for the
01:07business roundtable and for CEOs who are a part of that, to talk about pathways for legal immigration,
01:15why that's such a driver for economic growth, and that we need some reform.
