00:00Get ready to return to the world of Victorious with a new spinoff series coming to Netflix.
00:05The spinoff will star Daniela Monet, who is reprising the role of Trina Vega,
00:09that she played on the hit Nickelodeon series that ran from 2010 to 2013.
00:14The logline for the spinoff, titled Hollywood Arts, reads,
00:17In this all-new series, struggling actress Trina Vega returns to her former high school,
00:22Hollywood Arts, as an unqualified substitute teacher,
00:25quickly finding herself both clashing with and unexpectedly inspiring a new generation of
00:30ambitious and talented students, as they learn to find their true path at Hollywood's most elite
00:35performing arts school. Monet is also an executive producer on the show that comes from Paramount
00:39Television Studio. Production on the new series has started in Vancouver. The new live-action series
00:44will debut on Netflix next year and later get additional play on Nickelodeon and Paramount+.
00:50Netflix and Nickelodeon posted this video on Instagram, sharing the news.
00:53Ms. Vega, you ready? I think the real question is, are you ready? Start the audition.
01:01Monet said in a statement, in part,
01:07Coming back as Trina alongside such a dynamic, powerful cast of newcomers is something I feel
01:12very lucky and grateful to do. Victorious was, in a lot of ways, life-changing for all of us.
01:17Our cast is forever bonded by that experience, and to think that I have an opportunity to steward
01:21anything close to that is a feeling I can't begin to describe. Victorious currently streams
01:25on Netflix in the U.S., and since early 2024, has earned over 45 million views on the streaming
01:31platform. For more on this story, go to THR.com. This is The Hollywood Reporter News.
