00:01Roy, all the training in the world could not prepare you for something like that.

00:07I mean, bless him, Daniel tragically lost his life that day,

00:10but there was danger for so many more people out there at the time.

00:14I mean, how could you possibly prepare for that?

00:17There's nothing in a manual which tells you how to get into a sword fight in the street.

00:22However, if you look back of years of police action,

00:27you're stepping into that danger on a daily basis.

00:30Cam is doing it. Yaz is doing it.

00:32Many, many other officers are doing it.

00:34And so you draw upon that experience, you draw upon that knowledge,

00:37and you simply do the best you can.

00:40That is policing in this country in a nutshell,

00:42and it's what happens each and every day.

00:44And we're very grateful to all of you for that.
