00:00What did you make of the Wiz last night?
00:02Trey Johnson, impressive debut.
00:04Obviously, didn't go their way in the win column,
00:06but I thought some of the young guys showed some promise,
00:09and the Bucs did their thing and won the game pretty handily.
00:11Well, I mean, Trey Johnson inspired me to post my interview with him
00:15from two years ago, right?
00:17Look, I said this to people, and I felt almost like,
00:21hey, are people watching, being that you know this,
00:23everyone kept saying the Cooper flag sweepstakes, right?
00:26And I'm like, I got to call these high school games with these kids
00:30for the NBA, and no, it's V.J. Edgecombe, Trey Johnson, Malawash.
00:36Like, I view them all as equal talents, Ace Bailey to an extent,
00:39and people are like, Chris, you sound crazy.
00:42Well, low and the whole, V.J. Edgecombe's first game,
00:45the most in a debut in 66 years, and Trey Johnson,
00:4916 points off the bench, right?
00:51I think for Trey, his body type,
00:54he's going to need to grow into his body, right?
00:57They always talk about Cooper's youth.
00:59But with Trey, you talk to the Wizards' coaches,
01:02which I did at Summer League, you watch him play,
01:04and you think, can he withstand the physicality
01:07at his position in the NBA?
01:09I think he's going to need two or three years.
01:11Having said that, 16 off the bench in your debut,
01:15and you aren't even tapping, you know, 50% into your potential,
01:19I think Trey Johnson is the guy that's going to eventually
01:23lead the Wizards in scoring.
