00:50La nostra madre è indipendente, bellissima, forte e forte.
01:11I love the fact that she is okay to show herself vulnerable.
01:15For me, that is when you show a true, multi-leveled character.
01:20You can't be.
01:20What's she scared about?
01:23Scared about.
01:24I think for most young people,
01:25it's a lot of pressure finding out what you are going to do in your life,
01:28what your path is going to be.
01:30And I think one thing she shouldn't be scared about
01:32is the fact that it's going to come to her.
01:34If she just listen to herself,
01:36it's going to open up and everything is just going to fall into place.
01:40Thank you.
01:40Please, Luca, how much important is to produce a movie like a new Tomb Raider
01:45when the character is a mirror of the modern time,
01:49of the modern woman?
01:50She's independent, beautiful, strong and fearless.
01:54What do you think about that?
01:56Well, that's the movie we set out to make.
01:58We, you know, we gave...
02:00I bought a rice in 2010, so that was eight years ago,
02:04way before the movements and, you know, female protagonist films came out.
02:09And to me, it was always, if we're going to reboot a franchise like this,
02:13how can we do it in a way that fits a modern audience?
02:16You know, I was actually with Angelina Jolie making a film
02:19when I pulled the rights to Tomb Raider and said,
02:21I'm going to reboot the franchise.
02:22So, for me, it was keeping it grounded, keeping her characters grounded
02:27and, most importantly, making a film that stands up on its own
02:31that you don't have to be a video game player to go and see it.
02:34So, it's right to say Alice Vikander, she's the new Tomb Raider
02:40because the time changes and the rule of the woman in the movies changes.
02:46So, she's a good choice for the new Tomb Raider.
02:49She was our number one choice and, you know,
02:53we all have a wish in Hollywood when we've got her in place
02:56and it was fantastic to kind of go to her.
02:59She had won the Oscar for Danish Girl
03:01and here we are asking her to become Laura Croft.
03:04But it's all about the script, it's all about the storytelling
03:06and she really fell in love with this character
03:08and she plays it so grounded that, again,
03:11when people go and see this, they'll see how well she plays it.
03:15Thank you.
03:15Thank you very much.
03:16Thank you.
