00:00:00Praise the Lord, brothers. How we marvel at His mercy. Oh, I just marvel at His mercy that we're here together for this time.
00:00:12The Lord has been speaking to us very much concerning His desire to gain a kingdom people.
00:00:20And even this morning, some of the brothers were praying and we prayed, Oh Lord, gain us as your kingdom people.
00:00:27And I just had the feeling too that message by message, session by session, the study groups, our fellowship together, it's all about giving the Lord the ground to gain a people for His kingdom.
00:00:45And what a privilege this is, brothers, that we can be here to be under this kind of ministry, to participate in this kind of speaking, to realize God is doing a particular work with us to gain a kingdom people.
00:01:00May He really gain our full cooperation. And when we return to all of our local churches, may we be those who minister, shepherd, function, and go in and go out among His people as kingdom brothers to provide patterns to the flock, to shepherd the saints into the reality of the kingdom.
00:01:23So, what a great thing this is. And we come to message four, which deals with a particular attribute of who God is.
00:01:32Our God is a God of mercy. Oh, how we marvel at His mercy.
00:01:39And I hope that through the help of this outline, we all will have an appreciation of God's mercy as never before.
00:01:47You know, the brothers have pointed out this sequence in Matthew chapter 5, you know, the so-called Beatitudes, you know, the blessings.
00:01:58And, you know, it begins, as we saw, that the blessing of being poor in spirit is really what begins this whole sequence.
00:02:09In other words, for us to be unloaded from the old things, to be unloaded from what we think we know, to really enter into the new things, to be fresh with the Lord day by day, is the beginning of all the subsequent blessings.
00:02:24And then we saw that when we are really poor in spirit, seeing the real situation, how much the world, how much even in the church, things are there in opposition to God.
00:02:43This should cause us to mourn, not as a kind of behavior, but as a genuine reaction to the situation around us, even to a genuine reaction to the situation in our own being, that there are so many things in our own being that frustrate the Lord.
00:03:00That would cause us to mourn, but blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
00:03:05And as we continue in the sequence, this causes us to be meek, we're not so proud, we're not so accomplished.
00:03:18Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
00:03:22And then we have verse 6, blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
00:03:29And I mention this verse, because this verse is necessary for our understanding of verse 7, which is really at the heart of this message.
00:03:42Blessed are the merciful, for they shall be shown mercy.
00:03:47But to have the proper mercy, we need God's righteousness.
00:03:53For us to be merciful, we need to be right with God.
00:03:57So this is why verse 6 is necessary.
00:03:59So, brothers, what we're speaking of here, in Matthew chapter 5, is not a matter of our behavior or our ethics.
00:04:10This is not Christian ethics.
00:04:13This is why so many people refer to this section of the word as the Beatitudes.
00:04:17They see it as a pattern of behavior.
00:04:19But actually, this is the Lord's life being lived out in us and through us.
00:04:25This is why this footnote that Brother Simpson mentioned last night is very significant.
00:04:29You know, when the Lord says, be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect, this is not a standard for us to strive to accomplish.
00:04:38We have no way to accomplish this.
00:04:41But we have another life in our being.
00:04:43So it's no longer I, but Christ in us, that brings us into the reality of this kind of conduct, that brings us into the reality of these points.
00:04:55And so, I'd like to just refer to a statement that Brother Lee made in 1984, the collected works of Brother Lee, Witness Lee, 1984, Volume 2.
00:05:07He says, Matthew 5 through 7 is not a matter of morality or a high standard of ethics, but the living of the divine life by the believers.
00:05:20The living of the divine life is the expression and the practicality of the divine life, so it is the kingdom in reality.
00:05:30We must be impressed that Matthew 5 through 7 is not a sermon on a high standard of ethics.
00:05:38It is the unveiling of the living of the divine life which we possess.
00:05:43This living is the expression, the practicality of the divine life, which is the divine life's kingdom, the reality of the kingdom.
00:05:55And so, may we keep this before us, brothers, that as we go through these matters, this is not with a view towards some kind of self-improvement,
00:06:06but how much we need the Lord to grow in us, to increase in us, so that this divine life is lived out through us.
00:06:15This is the reality of the kingdom.
00:06:19And so, Roman 1, in the outline says,
00:06:23I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy.
00:06:28So then, it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy.
00:06:38Our God is a God of mercy.
00:06:42You know, many times we refer to mercy, but I'm not sure how much it really affects us.
00:06:50Really, we should consider this matter.
00:06:53We say, yes, God is a God of mercy.
00:06:56And many times, we realize, okay, it's through the Lord's mercy that we're here.
00:07:04But let's consider this for a minute.
00:07:07The Lord's mercy toward us.
00:07:10His mercy is his most far-reaching attribute.
00:07:15It reaches further than grace.
00:07:18It reaches further than love.
00:07:20It reaches people like us, who were in a desperate situation.
00:07:26We may not have realized it.
00:07:29We may not have understood it.
00:07:31But the fact of the matter is,
00:07:33we are the most desperate kind of people.
00:07:37And the only thing that can help us is mercy.
00:07:39And so, what has met us from the beginning, from the time of our regeneration,
00:07:47to our coming into the church life, to our going on in the church life,
00:07:53even the fact that we're sitting in these meetings,
00:07:56is altogether a matter of God's mercy.
00:07:59It's not our accomplishment.
00:08:02It's not our intellectual ability.
00:08:05It's not our strength.
00:08:07It's not our faithfulness.
00:08:09It is God's mercy.
00:08:12Praise the Lord for his mercy.
00:08:15And he says, I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy.
00:08:19It is no longer of him who wills, nor of him who runs,
00:08:25but of God who shows mercy.
00:08:29I'd like to mention something from the Ephesians Life Study, number 21,
00:08:35to help us in our understanding of what this mercy is.
00:08:39The object of love should be in a condition deserving love.
00:08:45But the object of mercy is always in a pitiful situation.
00:08:51Hence, God's mercy reaches farther than his love.
00:08:55God loves us because we are the object of his selection.
00:09:00But because of our fall, we became pitiful,
00:09:04even dead in our offenses and sins.
00:09:07Therefore, we need God's mercy.
00:09:10Because of his great love, God is rich in mercy
00:09:14to save us out of our wretched position
00:09:17to a condition that is suitable for his love.
00:09:21His mercy, the most far-reaching attribute of who he is,
00:09:25reaches us in the most pitiful situation,
00:09:28going further even than his love and his grace
00:09:31to reach us, to bring us back
00:09:34so that we can experience his love and grace.
00:09:38God's mercy reached us even when we were dead in offenses.
00:09:43We did not deserve anything from God,
00:09:45but God had mercy upon us in our miserable situation.
00:09:51We did not deserve anything from God.
00:09:55If anything, punishment, judgment,
00:09:58but yet God had mercy on us
00:10:01in our miserable situation.
00:10:05And so, continuing in the outline.
00:10:08Mercy is the most far-reaching of God's attributes,
00:10:11going further than his grace and love.
00:10:15According to our natural condition,
00:10:18we were far removed from God,
00:10:20totally unworthy of his grace.
00:10:22We were eligible only to receive his mercy.
00:10:28Oh, brothers, as we go through these points,
00:10:30I hope our appreciation,
00:10:33even our worship and our praise of the Father
00:10:36would just be uplifted
00:10:38to realize, my,
00:10:41it's all about his mercy.
00:10:44Our disobedience affords God's mercy an opportunity,
00:10:48and God's mercy brings us to salvation.
00:10:54So, our disobedience,
00:10:56our rebellion,
00:10:57actually provides God an opportunity
00:11:00to reveal more of who he is to us.
00:11:04We see more of God through our disobedience.
00:11:07So, somehow,
00:11:09God in his sovereignty,
00:11:11as God,
00:11:12is now able to display and manifest his mercy
00:11:16through our shortcomings.
00:11:18Hallelujah for this.
00:11:21Hallelujah for our God.
00:11:24Our concept is that the one who wills
00:11:27will gain what he wills
00:11:29to obtain,
00:11:31and that the one who runs
00:11:32will gain what he runs after.
00:11:36So, our concept,
00:11:37even in the Christian life,
00:11:39is that the Christian life
00:11:41is a matter of our striving.
00:11:42Of course, yes,
00:11:43we talk about running the race,
00:11:44like Paul,
00:11:46but what is this running?
00:11:48The running by itself
00:11:50is not able to accomplish anything.
00:11:53But it's the kind of running
00:11:54that takes place
00:11:55with God's mercy,
00:11:58and is enabled only by God's mercy.
00:12:01The only way we can run
00:12:02is because God has had mercy toward us.
00:12:05If this were the case,
00:12:11God's selection would be according
00:12:13to our effort and labor.
00:12:16It's not about our effort.
00:12:18It's not about our efforts
00:12:20in self-improvement,
00:12:21to be a better brother,
00:12:23to fit into
00:12:24the words even that we hear
00:12:27in the trainings,
00:12:29the feasts.
00:12:30Many times our reaction
00:12:31may be,
00:12:32oh, I need to
00:12:33really improve.
00:12:34I go back to my locality.
00:12:37We heard a message
00:12:37during the summer training
00:12:38about shepherding
00:12:39according to God.
00:12:42And you may
00:12:42bow within yourself.
00:12:45You may have
00:12:46a desire within yourself.
00:12:48Oh, I want to be
00:12:49this kind of shepherd
00:12:50to the saints.
00:12:52Well, yes.
00:12:54Yes, we should have
00:12:55this desire,
00:12:55but we should also realize
00:12:57it's not a matter
00:12:58of our running.
00:12:59It's not a matter
00:13:00of our willing.
00:13:01It's a matter
00:13:02of God's mercy.
00:13:03And so we ask the Lord,
00:13:05Lord,
00:13:05by your mercy,
00:13:08cause me
00:13:09to be such a shepherd
00:13:10that I could shepherd
00:13:12according to God,
00:13:14not in some kind
00:13:15of natural way.
00:13:17And so in this way,
00:13:18brothers,
00:13:18the Lord more and more,
00:13:19I believe,
00:13:20can really work
00:13:21within our being
00:13:22to make us
00:13:23his kingdom people.
00:13:24on the contrary,
00:13:28God's selection
00:13:28is of God
00:13:30who shows mercy.
00:13:31We do not need
00:13:33to will or to run
00:13:34for God has mercy
00:13:36on us.
00:13:38We do not need
00:13:40to will or to run
00:13:41for God has mercy
00:13:43on us.
00:13:43Now, this doesn't mean
00:13:44we are just
00:13:46passive,
00:13:48doing nothing.
00:13:50But if the Lord,
00:13:52through the help
00:13:52of an outline like this,
00:13:54can work in
00:13:55such a realization
00:13:56into our heart
00:13:58that it's not a matter
00:14:00of our willing
00:14:01or our running.
00:14:02It's really a matter
00:14:04of God's mercy.
00:14:05This will be
00:14:06a help to us.
00:14:08If we know
00:14:09God's mercy,
00:14:10we will neither
00:14:11trust in our effort
00:14:12nor be disappointed
00:14:14by our failures.
00:14:16The hope
00:14:17for our wretched
00:14:18condition
00:14:19is in God's mercy.
00:14:22How about that,
00:14:23brothers?
00:14:24You ever feel
00:14:25that you're just
00:14:26a kind of
00:14:26hopeless,
00:14:28wretched kind
00:14:29of person?
00:14:30Where you feel
00:14:31the failure
00:14:34is just too much?
00:14:37Well,
00:14:38thank the Lord
00:14:38for his mercy.
00:14:40We don't trust
00:14:41in our effort
00:14:42and neither
00:14:43are we disappointed
00:14:44in our failures.
00:14:45our hope
00:14:47is in God's mercy.
00:14:50Thank the Lord
00:14:51that we can be
00:14:52reduced
00:14:52to God's mercy.
00:14:56If we would
00:14:57serve God
00:14:57in his New Testament
00:14:58economy,
00:14:59we need to know
00:15:01that it is
00:15:01wholly a matter
00:15:02of God's
00:15:03sovereign mercy.
00:15:07At this point,
00:15:08brothers,
00:15:08I'd like to bring in
00:15:09another statement
00:15:10from Brother Lee.
00:15:11this is the
00:15:13Exodus life study,
00:15:14message 21.
00:15:16There, of course,
00:15:17Brother Lee is
00:15:17speaking about
00:15:18how he has
00:15:19had mercy
00:15:20on Moses,
00:15:21but on Pharaoh
00:15:22he has not
00:15:24had the same
00:15:25mercy.
00:15:28And so,
00:15:29Brother Lee
00:15:30says there,
00:15:31in the universe
00:15:32there are three
00:15:33things that cannot
00:15:34be denied.
00:15:35God's sovereignty,
00:15:38God's mercy,
00:15:39and man's
00:15:40free will.
00:15:42God's sovereignty
00:15:43and mercy
00:15:44are both
00:15:44divine and
00:15:45eternal
00:15:46without beginning
00:15:48or ending.
00:15:50Man's free will,
00:15:51on the contrary,
00:15:52is something
00:15:53created by God.
00:15:55In creating
00:15:56man with a
00:15:57free will,
00:15:57God displayed
00:15:58his greatness.
00:16:00Because he is
00:16:01great,
00:16:02he does not
00:16:02force us to
00:16:03choose him.
00:16:04rather,
00:16:05he leaves us
00:16:06free to
00:16:06make our
00:16:07own choice.
00:16:09We cannot
00:16:10explain why
00:16:10God has
00:16:11willed to
00:16:12show mercy
00:16:13to us.
00:16:14The only
00:16:15thing we can
00:16:15say is that
00:16:16according to
00:16:17God's will,
00:16:18the mercy
00:16:19of God
00:16:20has been
00:16:20extended to
00:16:21us.
00:16:23According to
00:16:23Romans 9.18,
00:16:25God may
00:16:26will either
00:16:27to show
00:16:27mercy or
00:16:28to harden.
00:16:30This is
00:16:30illustrated by
00:16:31the cases
00:16:32of Moses
00:16:32and Pharaoh.
00:16:34Moses was
00:16:35one to
00:16:36whom God
00:16:36willed to
00:16:37show his
00:16:38mercy.
00:16:39Whereas
00:16:39Pharaoh was
00:16:40one whom
00:16:41God willed
00:16:42to harden.
00:16:44Brothers,
00:16:45we could
00:16:45either be
00:16:45Moses or
00:16:46Pharaoh.
00:16:47And you
00:16:48can look
00:16:48back on
00:16:49your own
00:16:49life and
00:16:50realize
00:16:50siblings or
00:16:52close friends
00:16:53for some
00:16:54reason.
00:16:55They did
00:16:56not take
00:16:56this way.
00:16:57They did
00:16:58not give
00:16:58themselves to
00:16:59follow the
00:16:59Lord.
00:17:00Yet,
00:17:00here we
00:17:01are.
00:17:01what is
00:17:02this?
00:17:03This is
00:17:03not about
00:17:04us.
00:17:05This is
00:17:05about
00:17:05God's
00:17:06mercy.
00:17:08In
00:17:08Romans 9.15,
00:17:09Paul quotes
00:17:10God's word
00:17:11to Moses.
00:17:12I will
00:17:13have mercy
00:17:13on whom
00:17:14I will
00:17:14have
00:17:15mercy.
00:17:16And I
00:17:16will have
00:17:16compassion
00:17:17on whom

00:17:19compassion.
00:17:20This
00:17:21indicates
00:17:22that the
00:17:22mercy shown
00:17:23to us
00:17:23is altogether
00:17:25according
00:17:26to God's
00:17:26own
00:17:27will.
00:17:27God

00:17:30in his
00:17:30sovereignty
00:17:31to
00:17:32manifest
00:17:33his
00:17:33mercy
00:17:34on us.
00:17:36Praise
00:17:37the Lord

00:17:43If we
00:17:44know God's
00:17:44sovereignty,
00:17:45we will
00:17:45thank him
00:17:46for his
00:17:46mercy.
00:17:48The
00:17:48expression
00:17:48sovereign

00:17:50means
00:17:50that God's
00:17:51mercy is
00:17:52absolutely
00:17:53a matter
00:17:54of God's
00:17:55sovereignty.
00:17:55being a
00:17:57vessel of
00:17:58mercy is
00:17:58not the
00:17:59result of
00:17:59our
00:18:00choice.
00:18:00It
00:18:01originates
00:18:02with God's
00:18:02sovereignty.
00:18:04It
00:18:05originates
00:18:05with God's
00:18:06sovereignty.
00:18:07We can't
00:18:08explain it,
00:18:09but yet
00:18:10God in
00:18:11his own
00:18:11being,
00:18:13his own
00:18:13sovereignty
00:18:14according to
00:18:15his will
00:18:15chose us
00:18:17to be in
00:18:17this room
00:18:18at this
00:18:18time.
00:18:19He chose
00:18:20us to be
00:18:21among his
00:18:22kingdom
00:18:23people.
00:18:24Thank the
00:18:25Lord for
00:18:25this.
00:18:25all we
00:18:26can do
00:18:27is worship
00:18:27him,
00:18:28that out
00:18:29of his
00:18:29mercy,
00:18:30we were
00:18:30chosen.
00:18:35God's
00:18:35mercy is
00:18:36in his
00:18:37sovereignty.
00:18:38The only
00:18:39thing we
00:18:39can say
00:18:40to explain
00:18:40God's
00:18:41mercy to
00:18:42us is
00:18:43that in

00:18:43sovereignty,

00:19:15Oh,
00:19:16brothers,
00:19:16aren't you
00:19:17thankful for
00:19:17his mercy?
00:19:19Praise the
00:19:20Lord for
00:19:20his mercy.
00:19:21which is a
00:19:23point where
00:19:24you know,
00:19:24you can't
00:19:25explain it,
00:19:26difficult to
00:19:27understand it,
00:19:28all we can
00:19:28do is
00:19:29worship God
00:19:30for his
00:19:32mercy toward
00:19:32us.
00:19:34The more
00:19:35we see that
00:19:36everything related
00:19:37to us is a
00:19:38matter of
00:19:38God's mercy,
00:19:40the more we
00:19:41will bear our
00:19:41responsibility
00:19:42before the
00:19:43Lord.
00:19:44However,
00:19:45even our
00:19:46willingness to
00:19:47bear responsibility
00:19:48is of
00:19:49God's
00:19:49mercy.
00:19:52Surely,
00:19:54considering his
00:19:55mercy should
00:19:56provoke us a
00:19:58little bit to
00:19:59consider,
00:20:00oh Lord,
00:20:02oh Lord,
00:20:02I just give
00:20:03myself to
00:20:04you.
00:20:05We're here to
00:20:06bear our
00:20:06responsibility,
00:20:08whatever you
00:20:08need from us,
00:20:09even our
00:20:10cooperation to
00:20:11be your
00:20:12kingdom people,
00:20:13even that
00:20:14willingness is a
00:20:15matter of
00:20:15God's mercy.
00:20:17Hallelujah,
00:20:18for his
00:20:18mercy.
00:20:20Because of
00:20:21God's mercy,
00:20:22we responded
00:20:22to his
00:20:23gospel when
00:20:24others did
00:20:25not.
00:20:26We received
00:20:27a word about
00:20:28Christ as
00:20:29life when
00:20:30others refused
00:20:31to receive
00:20:32it.
00:20:33And we took
00:20:33the way of
00:20:34the Lord's
00:20:35recovery when
00:20:36others drew
00:20:37back from
00:20:38taking this
00:20:38way.
00:20:40Brothers,
00:20:41consider this
00:20:42statement in
00:20:42your own
00:20:43personal life,
00:20:44your own
00:20:44personal
00:20:44situation.
00:20:45I believe
00:20:48every one
00:20:48of us
00:20:49here could
00:20:49consider
00:20:50certain
00:20:50ones that
00:20:52at the
00:20:54time we
00:20:54heard the
00:20:54gospel,
00:20:55we responded,
00:20:57yet others
00:20:57did not.
00:21:00Or when we
00:21:01came to the
00:21:02church life,
00:21:02when we first
00:21:03met the
00:21:04brothers,
00:21:05because you
00:21:05may have
00:21:05grown up
00:21:06in the
00:21:06church as
00:21:06a church
00:21:07kid,
00:21:09well,
00:21:09somewhere in
00:21:09the course
00:21:10of your
00:21:10life you
00:21:11realized
00:21:11that there
00:21:13were certain
00:21:14people that
00:21:14cared for
00:21:15life.
00:21:17What brought
00:21:18you into
00:21:18that realization?
00:21:20What caused
00:21:21you to be
00:21:22willing to
00:21:22take the
00:21:23way of life,
00:21:24this narrow
00:21:24and constricted
00:21:25way?
00:21:27You know,
00:21:27one of the
00:21:28things we were
00:21:29kind of laughing
00:21:30this morning,
00:21:30even getting
00:21:31on the
00:21:31elevator,
00:21:32this narrow
00:21:33and constricted
00:21:34way of getting
00:21:35on a crowded
00:21:35elevator.
00:21:39What enabled
00:21:40us to take
00:21:40this way?
00:21:43God's
00:21:44mercy.
00:21:46Why didn't
00:21:47we take
00:21:47this way
00:21:48and others
00:21:48did not?
00:21:49Even in my
00:21:50mind now,
00:21:50I can think
00:21:51of certain
00:21:52dear friends
00:21:53through the
00:21:54years that
00:21:55I was
00:21:56associated
00:21:56with.
00:21:59I'm here
00:21:59and they
00:22:00are not.
00:22:01Why is
00:22:02that?
00:22:03It has
00:22:03nothing to
00:22:04do with
00:22:04my ability,
00:22:07my
00:22:07understanding
00:22:08of things.
00:22:10It's
00:22:10all
00:22:10together.
00:22:11God's
00:22:12mercy.
00:22:14And then
00:22:14to take
00:22:15the way
00:22:15of the
00:22:16Lord's
00:22:16recovery
00:22:16when others
00:22:17have drawn
00:22:18back from
00:22:18taking this
00:22:19way.
00:22:19Even
00:22:20we know
00:22:21brothers
00:22:21among us
00:22:22through the
00:22:23years,
00:22:24brothers even
00:22:24better than
00:22:25we are,
00:22:26with more
00:22:28function,
00:22:28more gift.
00:22:31Yet,
00:22:31at a certain
00:22:32point,
00:22:32they turned
00:22:33against this
00:22:33way.
00:22:34They turned
00:22:35against this
00:22:36way of the
00:22:37Lord's
00:22:37recovery.
00:22:38yet we're
00:22:40still here.
00:22:40They were
00:22:41hardened and
00:22:42we were
00:22:42not.
00:22:44How is
00:22:44this possible?
00:22:46What is
00:22:47the underlying
00:22:48factor?
00:22:50It's God's
00:22:50mercy,
00:22:51brothers.
00:22:52Hallelujah for
00:22:53God's mercy.
00:22:56I can
00:22:57testify,
00:22:58I believe
00:22:58every one of
00:22:59us can
00:22:59testify,
00:23:00that the
00:23:02reason we're
00:23:02here is
00:23:03because God
00:23:04has had
00:23:04mercy upon
00:23:05us.
00:23:06I'm
00:23:09even
00:23:09considering
00:23:10how much
00:23:10detail to
00:23:11get into
00:23:11here,
00:23:11you know,
00:23:12because
00:23:12His mercy
00:23:14is displayed
00:23:15in our
00:23:15pitiful
00:23:16situations.
00:23:18And as
00:23:18I reflect
00:23:19on my
00:23:19history,
00:23:20in my
00:23:21life,
00:23:21my,
00:23:22there have
00:23:22been many
00:23:24pitiful
00:23:24situations.
00:23:27Yet,
00:23:27the very
00:23:28fact that I
00:23:29could be
00:23:29here,
00:23:30even to

00:25:31was so

00:25:31see that
00:25:32as he
00:25:32was there
00:25:33dying in
00:25:34his living
00:25:34room,
00:25:34in the
00:25:35other room,
00:25:36there was
00:25:36a Christmas
00:25:36tree there.
00:25:38And I
00:25:38just thought,
00:25:40what a
00:25:40tragic thing
00:25:41that in
00:25:43your dying
00:25:43days you
00:25:44could not
00:25:44be among
00:25:45the saints
00:25:45in the

00:30:35Cause us to
00:30:36realize how
00:30:38much we are
00:30:38under the
00:30:39benefit, the
00:30:40blessing of
00:30:40his mercy.
00:30:42And so,
00:30:43for us
00:30:45brothers, we
00:30:46should see
00:30:46God's mercy
00:30:47and touch
00:30:48his mercy.
00:30:50And this is
00:30:51what will
00:30:51enable us to
00:30:52go on and
00:30:53to be faithful
00:30:54to the end.

00:30:57would take
