00:00We're going to try this and see if it works.
00:02After my divorce, I fought really hard to keep this house.
00:06Now I'm ready to make it mine, celebrating my new start
00:09of my new chapter of my life.
00:11What happened here?
00:12Oh, so it comes right off.
00:13Water sitting on wood is concerning.
00:18It's not just the house that's going to be transformed.
00:20This is transforming Priscilla's life.
00:25Oh, my gosh.
00:26It is so beautiful.
00:29Oh, my gosh.
00:32Oh!
00:32Between social media, how-to videos, and baseless tutorials,
00:36inspired DIYers are taking on bigger and bigger projects,
00:41leaving their homes in complete chaos.
00:44What have you done?
00:45There's a big hole in the wall.
00:47The flood needed.
00:48This was a DIY gone wrong.
00:49What have we started?
00:51This is sketchy.
00:52You step in the wrong spot.
00:54You're going through.
00:56Yeah.
00:58For years, I've helped families in Southern California
01:00restore order to their dream homes.
01:02Oh, ho, ho!
01:03We're done!
01:05Now I've moved my family to Park City, Utah, where I'm rebuilding my business,
01:09and I know it's not going to be easy.
01:12New town, new business, new recs.
01:15It's just too much.
01:16It has not fault people, new music, the mountain.
01:18I actually really like it.
01:19This could be my new studio in Utah.
01:20It's massive.
01:21There's plenty of space.
01:22I could see us being in here really comfortably.
01:23I'm with every walk, new presto.
01:25S- honor!
01:26S- czyli ne-n 3000 new.
01:27Now we're going
01:28to London 수가 all along.
01:29new studio in utah it's massive there's plenty of space i could see us being in here really
01:34comfortably we've decided to move our family to park city from california and having a presence
01:40for my company in park city is really important so i need a studio to work out of and i can't find
01:46anything looking back at the first warehouse that i signed a lease for was in 2016. i had just
01:52started out my business it's got concrete floors this is the bathroom which obviously we make you
01:57and he did so much work and it was such a project so here i am nine years later i'm trying to rent
02:04a space and it's been really challenging let's just put an offer in let's do it i really hope i
02:10get this one i know oh you know what just got this message one second hey jasmine i'm josie i am
02:18reaching out for your help for my mom for my childhood home my mom's always talked about how
02:25she's wanted a different kitchen layout this year she's finally taking it upon herself to do it mom
02:31can we clean up one mess whoa before we start another mess or finish your paint before we cook dinner i
02:37want it to dry so i can do the second coat so you won't see my wallpaper let's just say she's used in
02:44a lot of duct tape and a lot of just pink cover up hot glue guns and i am not going to take the
02:50wallpaper off we're going to try this and see if it works now removing wallpaper is too hard you gotta
02:57paint over it see you can't even tell before things get worse i'd like for you to step in see
03:02what you can do and maybe help out my mom sounds like she needs some help huh yes i'm a sucker for
03:09anybody that reaches out on behalf of their parents that's a nice daughter
03:12love that josie priscilla's daughter is the one who called me as a daughter who is constantly
03:20i don't know like advocating for my mom i think that's what josie is doing she sees that priscilla
03:26is ready for a renovation i've lived in my home since 1997 i've raised two amazing children here i was
03:35actually married for 30 years and then just recently got divorced i fought really hard to keep this house
03:40this house means the world to me it's not just a house it's a home i have great memories with my
03:46children but with my ex-husband it was a very very dark place i feel like my home now is ready for a
03:53new happy chapter i know priscilla has lived here for a long time and so it'll be interesting to see
03:59the condition of the home now do i put it right next to it i mean put it where it used to be priscilla
04:05really wants this home to change but the things that she has done seem to not quite measure up well
04:12i need to replace my cute little fast and easy backsplash it took the paint off because i painted
04:18over wallpaper there's pressure on me right now living by myself and having all these things that
04:25need to be done trying to do projects around my home and some of them worked some of them haven't
04:31i am fixing that hole finally in the window and putting duct tape on it my mom she needs the
04:37professional help and i think jasmine can help dust off some history that i think we're all ready to
04:43overcome then just start fresh if i can be part of the team that helps priscilla get through this change
04:51in her life i think it'd be an honor
04:53hi hello i'm josie nice to meet you nice to meet you hi hi i'm priscilla hi nice nice to meet you
05:03oh i'm excited to be here it's not every day i get to work with mothers and daughters so when you
05:09called priscilla did you know she was calling no but i get it i have a relationship with my mom where
05:16i'm constantly kind of pushing her outside of her comfort zone and then i have two girls oh so it's
05:22only a matter of time before i know it's gonna happen i returned the favor you did to your mom
05:26right yeah yeah it's gonna happen okay so you grew up here yes born and raised 27 years i guess the
05:32question is why a renovation why now you've had this house for so long after my divorce i wanted to keep
05:39this house this is my my children's home so didn't want to get rid of it no that's i mean that's amazing
05:45yeah oh i'm sorry i didn't think i was gonna come either no but yeah so this means the world
05:52there's a lot of memories yes lots yeah i fought to keep this home and i now i'm ready to make it
05:58mine kind of celebrating my new start of my new chapter of my life that's fair yeah i did do it
06:04yourself projects because i was in that headspace where i needed to change and i needed to change
06:08right there and then but now that my head is clear i i know now i need help in this room this
06:14is your living room correct these floors are gorgeous do you want to keep the floors yes how
06:19do you feel about the mirrors behind the shelves as you can see they're dark i'm ready for a change
06:25let's go ahead and do something about those so you have this bar here do you use this no what about
06:30this other bar i have to tell you guys i've never seen a bar quite like this am i missing the mark
06:35because i don't have two bars in my living room in my house is this a utah thing no it's not a utah
06:39thing my ex-husband and i bought this and now that we're divorced i'm ready to get rid of it and knock
06:46down the wall that's behind it so you want this wall gone i want to be able to see people from my
06:51kitchen well it's right in the middle of your house so we'll have to figure out what it means to
06:55take it down this is your kitchen yes well this is original has anything really been updated in here
07:02this black splash did that all by myself in one day that that's it's the okay so oh it comes right
07:10off yes yeah peel and stick tile has its place it's usually not like a long-term solution i know
07:16i already had a piece that fell and i tried to hot glue gun it and it didn't work very well where
07:21else did you use your glue gun on the tile on the floor it's right here under the side the one behind
07:26your foot did not stick really well oh i see this one yeah i love a hot glue gun you can use a hot glue
07:33gun for a lot of things not for renovating kitchens so much what about the ceiling i'm ready to get rid
07:41of them you've got the highest ceilings ever out here and then right here you you're like in this
07:46little tiny but it makes me feel tall it's not i feel massive oh what happened here so we had a leak
07:54but i put a new roof on it feels soft it does the wallpaper was sagging down and so i just put the
08:00tape on it and then i wanted to hide the tape and so i just painted over it my concern here it's the
08:05actual structure of the home water sitting on wood that your house is built out of is concerning we
08:12might find mold rotting of the wood from the water sitting on it so if this is rotten and it starts to
08:18sag or roof starts to collapse you can see how that would be a problem yes we'll open it up and
08:23we'll have to see we have to not ignore issues that could snowball into bigger issues okay now i
08:30can see that i needed to take more time and i should have did more research in doing these projects how
08:36would you describe your design style i like more of a modern comfortable look more bright instead of
08:43dark okay what's the dream for this kitchen i want a gourmet kitchen cooking for my family cooking for
08:49my friends i'm in my happy space this room is my little family room you use this fireplace yes very
08:56often this plastic that's on it yeah the air flu doesn't work really well so i had to put the
09:01plastic over it we don't ever want to put anything that's flammable right next to a fire that needs to
09:05be fixed priscilla hasn't worked on this house in 27 years and the thing she has tried to do involves
09:12tape glue gun she's got the crafter special to wreck her house what is your budget for this project
09:17225 000 i've had to make a choice i could have paid off my house or remodel my house how do you feel
09:24about that nervous it's a big commitment it is a commitment but i know i need to do this if i'm
09:29going to stay in here for the rest of my life right now the way it is it's still keeping me in that
09:34little shell that i used to have to be in and i don't want to go back there ever again this house has so
09:40many dark memories and i'm ready to get rid of the memories that were dark i want to keep the sadness
09:46out of here and now that i have found my voice i'm ready to open up and say let's open up this house
09:51and let's make it a home again and let's make it bright and let's make it happy i'm proud of you mom
10:04let's get rid of the dark physically metaphorically all the ways that we can make this
10:10a happy new home for you and your new chapter i've spent a lot of time with my mom and i've seen
10:16her go through multiple divorces and it's not easy you're amazing and it's so cool to see a mother
10:23daughter team so i want to be part of the team now yes whatever you need i will come and i will knock
10:30down the wall i'll do the demo yeah let's do it let's do it let's do it i'm so excited for all of
10:39us it's going to be great oh thank you you got to sell the bar he has done so far all right i'm out of
10:46here i just want to let you know jasmine that i sold the bar bye-bye bar and i'm waving goodbye to
11:01this part of my life i'm looking forward to all the new happy memories that are going to occur here
11:07priscilla's staying with her brother while we're in her house renovating and i'm nervous knowing that she
11:13could have sat in this house the way it is mortgage free versus taking that money and
11:17putting it into a renovation it's a lot of pressure i have to get it right priscilla is one of the first
11:22clients that i've taken on in utah this project is so important to setting up my business here every
11:28client i take at this point is the most important client because you're only as good as your last
11:33project matt hi where do we start i feel like we're like literally ripping out a different century
11:43here it is in all its glory matt is a new contractor well new to me and he's got a great personality he's
11:50very positive which i like and yeah i'm excited to work on this project with him um okay so she wants to
11:56get rid of these shelves there was a time that smoky glass was really cool it makes you look tan
12:02anything to help me look better maybe i should take those mirrors off and take them home with me
12:05the design style for this project is transitional what that means is that it's not traditional
12:10and it's not modern it's somewhere in between there we're going to keep some of the older traditional
12:15parts of this house but we'll add some bright modern elements so that it feels more like priscilla
12:20four in here new front door let's keep the parquet floors the bookshelves yep they're out of here
12:25i'm thinking bright modern custom built-ins we'll leave the fireplace as is and i think by replacing
12:32the carpet and getting rid of this railing and turning it into a pony wall suddenly this is like
12:36the living room that it always should have been also we are removing a wall here that's definitely
12:41a structural wall i think we just need to get an engineer in here so this wall is not coming down
12:45today we could expose it today but the wall's not coming down today let's imagine this wall is gone
12:50that gives us this part of the house connected to that part of the house they've had some water
12:55damage right the concern is what's in this wall is this rotted and how bad is this once we expose
13:00it we'll know what needs to happen here okay in here we gotta get rid of this wall this becomes a huge
13:05chef's kitchen that runs all the way along this back wall so we've got a massive island our counters
13:11will be white vein quartzite everything in here is light and bright we'll do a white tile backslash like a
13:18proper backslash this room becomes the dining room so we've got tile floors throughout refresh
13:23the fireplace which she's gonna love let's get started we need some tools
13:33jasmine we're in here oh my oh wow what do you think it already looks different how are you
13:39nice to see you a little dirty this is matt hi i'm matt nice contractor i don't usually invite my
13:45homeowners to come help me on the first day of construction having priscilla here start this
13:50project off really means a lot to her nice oh yeah oh yeah this took longer to put up than it did to take
14:02down kitchen has been a space where you've been through a lot i'm destroying all the bad memories
14:12in here and so it's i am so lucky to be able to have this moment with you just to tear it down
14:19and just take out my frustration happy tears sad tears tears watch out it's not every day you can
14:26to hug somebody with a sledgehammer in the middle can i take the wall down oh this wall yes that's
14:34definitely a structural wall we need to get an engineer over here to get the approval that we
14:38can get rid of it we can take all this drywall off the wall you just can't take like the whole wall
14:42down today because you know your house will collapse and we don't want that we don't want that take a
14:46swing okay there's our header they've spanned all the way across where that pocket door was
14:59and that header's probably coming over here to some more supports i think that if we're
15:03going to remove this entire wall we're going to span that header all the way across this header has
15:07to span the entire wall all the way over and then we'll have to do some sort of support in this corner
15:12you can be thirty five hundred dollars to four thousand dollars just give the structural support
15:16that this wall will need we've got to get down into the basement if we've got to cut
15:19the foundation and dig holes we could be a couple thousand more dollars
15:27we don't know the overall cost yet and it could be a chunk there's a lot there's a lot that's involved
15:31this has been my vision for so long i want to open buying the money to make this project work
15:37it doesn't sound like we have much of an option no yeah you're going to call the engineer i'll go
15:41give him a call thank you for coming to help you're welcome very excited about getting rid of that
15:50drop ceiling the whole ceiling is now one pipe which makes such a big difference i don't know
15:55what's going to happen with these windows priscilla she wasn't that concerned about it even though it
15:59was leaking water i hope this isn't something that blows up our budget all right what you got they have
16:04this little bay window right it looks like they re-roofed and then they put on new gutters but right here
16:09there's a gap between this rain gutter and that rain gutter and right at this corner all that
16:14water's been coming down and over time is just look at that that's that old sheathing it's just
16:19crumbling i mean we knew there's gonna be something here this is shoot it's really unfortunate i think
16:24the windows look like they're in good shape so i think we can reset the windows but we hadn't planned
16:27on replacing a bunch of the sheathing and having to fix the siding on the outside of the house and then
16:32we're gonna have to address obviously the problem up here i think in total this will cost about five thousand
16:36dollars oh it's so annoying
16:44darla's all down she's all resting and everything okay i need your guys help so i'm working on a
16:50project okay and these are her kitchen cabinets it's a nice color there's just been a lot of change
16:57and through it all my mom has been there and it's been great to have her with us here in utah so then
17:03for her backsplash this is a handcrafted tile that we can install with a zero grout line so i really
17:09like that that's really pretty here's some more of it oh and it has a little bit of a variation yeah
17:14why don't we stick with the middle one yeah we can use all of them though okay mom has to call her
17:19client and then we can go play hi hi good to see you nice to see you so we dug into the bay window area
17:32and the leak it's actually a lot worse than we expected it went all the way through to the
17:37exterior so now we have to rip the siding off and replace all of that we have to pull the gutters
17:41off it's a bigger project than we expected okay the good news is we do have that contingency that
17:47we've set aside and so that five thousand dollars is fully covered what about the windows why not get
17:54new windows it would be a good time to replace the windows it's not 100 necessary right now but
18:00that would probably be like fifteen hundred dollars but we don't have fifteen hundred dollars like with
18:06this overage our contingency is gone i mean i know that you guys were thinking about doing something
18:11fun with my bookshelves and with the mirrors can we keep them and you just just give it a good
18:16facelift okay let me go back and look at those bookshelves again okay great okay bye bye
18:36we have the engineer's plans for the wall and now the wall is down also we have the new pony wall that
18:42went in between the new living room and the new kitchen we have the new fireplace insert that went
18:47in in the dining room we've got the electrical and the plumbing stubs for the new island we're able
18:52to put up drywall which means priscilla's renovation is well underway hey hi you look very serious right
19:01now hi this is serious serious bookshelf drama why would you spend all this time staring at this
19:08when you can focus on how amazing this is it looks so good i mean it looks like a different house i
19:14love that this is opened up what about the budget and the beam we were concerned that maybe we'd have
19:18to cut the concrete poor footings luckily we didn't have to do that because we were able to come
19:23to this outside wall okay and we were able to rest that beam onto the foundation here and we're able to
19:29bear on the foundation at the garage wall so we have two 16 inch beam that is designed to carry that
19:35load as far as the budget where are we at we're just right under four thousand dollars oh what a win
19:40it was a win this wall is my challenge right now in order to pay for the new window and fix the leak
19:46i have to make these built-ins work and make them feel like they match the rest of the house the mirrors
19:52i think are the thing that's really making this space feel dated we can try to pop them off it breaks
19:57right out that would be best case scenario i think because then we can just paint the wall scared
20:06you gotta you gotta hit it here we go oh but now we've got this spooky tarry glue yeah there's those
20:15are so hard to get off so if there's like four glue dots per opening yeah i don't think it's the
20:21fastest move so i brought other options frosted glass now it kind of makes me feel like i just got out of
20:29the shower we could do a tongue and groove i mean these are just little pieces but it could run
20:37vertical huh i don't know my only concern is i just don't know that it goes with this mantle
20:42tongue and groove that's like farmhouse-y and then you've got this like super traditional mantle
20:46yeah i don't know i don't think any of these options work
20:54what if we just bought sheets of mdf cut them to be the size of each opening glued them in
20:59there and then painted it mdf it's basically a particle board it's paint grade it's easy to work
21:05with and it's a lot less expensive than wood then these bookshelves will be simple and modern and we've
21:11got our mantle and i think that the mantle should be a focal point so together we've got that
21:15transitional design and that's a good option jasmine check it out new windows got rid of that roof over
21:32build that they had up there that was causing the water damage now we're putting on the siding
21:35we're all waterproof and this should not be a problem anymore hi hello you haven't been here
21:44before no i've never been here this is cabinet showroom priscilla has decided to renovate her house
21:52rather than paying off her house so there's a lot of pressure to give priscilla her dream kitchen and
21:57while priscilla has insight into what she personally wants josie also has ideas for her mom your mom's
22:04kitchen it's coming along the kitchen is what she's really looking forward to your mom loves to cook
22:09right oh favorite thing to do is cook and i smile when i cook and i a lot when i cook whether or not
22:15it's breakfast lunch dinner dessert kitchen is her safe space her heart of the home there's all these
22:20like accessories that cabinet companies have come up with and i want to kind of go through them and you
22:25can tell me what you think she'd like yes let's start here these are pull outs there's one on that
22:31side and there's one on this side so that's for like cookie sheets and cutting boards and this is
22:36for like all of your utensils i think she'd use that and that so this is a warming brewer that's right
22:43up her alley because we're all over cooking with it something's done soon she can just put it in there
22:47let's go to this kitchen over here this is fun right this is fun i'm like wanting stuff in my kitchen
22:52now this one pulls out paper towels and then this is for like cleaning supplies another thumbs up so for
22:59hidden paper towels the warming drawer these pull outs that's about one two hundred dollars
23:06okay she's gonna be blown away with the kitchen and then even more blown away with the little
23:11knick-knack surprises she's never had a new kitchen before she's never been through this journey before
23:17and i'm sure she didn't expect to be in this position oh she's ready for it she deserves all of
23:22it she's worked really hard for it she's endured a lot of pain and divorce is rough the first year of
23:28their separation was my family's hardest not only my own but it was just a very challenging to just
23:36create new norms my mom's strength in this has been rewarding to see i think this new renovation is
23:43just gonna be a good stepping stone into more of a change and more of what she wants to do obviously her
23:49kids are her world she's very lucky to have you i'm lucky to have her in my life the next time i see you
23:55might be showing you the finished kitchen oh i can't wait for it though
24:04i'm still looking for a commercial studio space and the last one i thought i had it fell through
24:11so i'm going to meet with my commercial real estate agents and hopefully we can figure something out
24:15hi how are you hi jill hi katie how's it going good yeah welcome thank you for coming to meet us
24:21yeah you eat food we'll talk okay so we have been looking for commercial space for a year and we have
24:29been outbid spaces have been too small i feel like there's not a lot available and then the stuff that is
24:35available it's so competitive it's been frustrating so we have an idea what if we transition into looking at
24:42a sale product and you buy something wow um i haven't even considered that honestly like it's
24:51we just bought our house and that was a huge expense and a big project it seems like a huge
24:56investment purchasing a space it's not what i was planning to do right now this is a huge commitment i
25:01don't have any room for error i don't have any time to ramp up it's definitely more than i was thinking i
25:07would be taking on at this point it's hard right because i've never owned commercial property it will
25:12open up a whole new world for us for what you're looking for and from an investment standpoint real
25:17estate prices continue to go up and you'll be investing in yourself i mean when you say it that
25:21way it sounds lovely but jill found an option that could work it's a new build so you would have to
25:28build it out the space is perfect and it's just on the outskirts of park city we can look at it but i
25:33don't know yet i'm glad you asked me this in person because on the phone i'll be like nope i think we
25:38should go inside oh my gosh yay it is so beautiful
25:57you can design on a computer all day long but until things start to go in you don't really know
26:04how it's gonna look seeing these cabinets go in i'm getting excited hi guys oh yeah oh look at this
26:11kitchen wow hi how's it going i'm jasmine hi nice to meet you jasmine i'm colby i'm trying to get to
26:17know everybody i have a lot of people in california that i've worked with for 10 plus years but i don't
26:24have that here so getting to know the trades and you know who's on the job site is really important
26:29to me wow this is a massive island yeah this is going to be awesome priscilla is a big cook she is
26:35going to be so excited about this all right thank you yeah what is going on in here i'm jasmine cole
26:42wait i have colby and cole yep that's confusing so how uh easy is this not very the main challenge is
26:50that all these boxes are not square lines aren't straight so you're just basically scribing each
26:56and every box yep each one is pretty custom oh my gosh can i help you of course i didn't realize
27:02how unique each opening was going to be so seeing the carpenters here hand cutting and measuring each
27:08and every opening a little bit more work than i expected there we go nice this room had a lot of
27:17old memories that she was willing to leave behind and she couldn't move forward the way this room was
27:22so making this a nod to what was here before but not exactly the same room is going to be a big win
27:28for her that one's really in there i had five thousand dollars in the budget for this fireplace wall
27:35and being able to keep the built-ins and give them a facelift i spent thirty five hundred dollars and
27:40so that is the fifteen hundred dollar savings that i needed in order to pay for priscilla's new windows
27:45which i think was a priority
27:51i've never experienced weather like this in southern california we're 70 degrees and sunny
27:55being here where one minute it's snowing the next minute it's spring this is all new to me hi hello
28:02welcome to what i hope is your new home that's this end unit wow come on in whoa i definitely wasn't
28:10looking for a project but it can be your project i would have to put in plumbing electrical put in a
28:16floor it needs everything seems like i should just be able to rent a studio instead it's turning into
28:21much more of an undertaking buying something it's a huge commitment i put a lot of love into that first
28:27warehouse that i signed a lease for and i didn't own it which in retrospect would have been nice if i had
28:32owned it so from that standpoint i think that it's time to buy something i think this might be it meet
28:38with the team here and just kind of have a hub to run my business out of you think it's worth putting
28:43in an offer yeah let's do it i hope we get it hi hi welcome back to your house oh thanks i've been
28:57gotten a little bit allowed i'm very dirty sorry oh no problem so what we're gonna do is hang out
29:02in your garage yay this is stone that will be on your fireplace in your new dining room i love the
29:14idea of using stone because we're in utah and it feels mountainy and i wanted the fireplace to look
29:20nothing like it looked like before this is going to be beautiful when you're thinking about your house
29:24like what are you most excited about i'm excited for my kitchen entertaining is my favorite i love
29:30hosting but my ex-husband didn't like that a lot of my friends have not come over to my house in the
29:35last 27 years now that he's gone i get to have that fun again i get to have people come over and it's so
29:42much fun and it's so important i'm so excited for you thank you you know you're going to be at a
29:46different phase in life when you get back into this house definitely a lot has changed oh a lot has
29:52changed i was not happy and i'm ready now to be in my own space and not cry and be happy and say i
30:01did this being away from my home it makes me appreciate it even more of how much i've fought
30:07to have my home it made it more and more important for me to take care of it and take care of it the
30:12right way and now i get to go on my next chapter and find who i am again and i love it i love who i am
30:18chills literally so we've installed the stone but we haven't grouted it there's a lot of different
30:23ways that we could grout it we could put grout in between we could over grout it so we're just
30:28going to figure it out so that when they come to grout the stone we know what we want exactly this is
30:33your grout bag let gravity work for you and we're just going to kind of squirt yep right in there oh
30:39you're a pro we're going to use a sponge and we're just going to kind of go over it and like spreading it
30:45into the joints we could even have it wash over the stone which is called like over grouting okay
30:51let's step back and look at it okay i love the overlay of the grout just brings out brightness
30:56it brings out happiness it brings out not my old home for sure so i'll tell them to use the over grout
31:06technique okay that's what i needed your help with so nicely done thank you look at us
31:15hi javier yeah i'm ready for carpet pulled it a little you want to lay it here in the grass yes
31:24is that okay yeah that's fine i just moved here from california i'm kind of new to carpet we don't
31:28use a lot of carpet in southern california what do you think
31:36i think that oh this is not right i chose the carpet online which i know better i think i might have
31:45messed up oh man so we have these parquet wood floors and the carpet is right next to the wood
31:52floors and i'm just nervous that this is going to be like pattern on pattern i blew it oh i feel really
31:58bad the expectations on this project are high i have to get it right this house is something she fought
32:04for that she cares about so much and therefore i care a lot this is all wrong
32:10so like this next to the wood floors yes it does a lot of pattern i don't think we can have pattern
32:17carpet next to pattern floors okay so i know we can't order like a custom carpet in because we have
32:23to install asap in the warehouse we have plenty of samples if i find another carpet in stock what's the
32:31soonest that you can install it tomorrow tomorrow because right now you're a priority that's amazing
32:36that i'm gonna go to the carpet shop right now thank you i messed up i know it's not gonna work
32:41and i feel bad i can't return this carpet and that sucks but i also don't think it's fair to make
32:47priscilla pay for my mistake so i now own this carpet it's 1100 you're only as good as your last job
32:54that's just the type of industry that i'm in i take that really seriously and this carpet has to be right
32:59this is the way to do it you have to be here you have to see the colors you have to touch it because
33:07on a computer screen it's not cutting it i have to find carpet that is not too busy too busy too busy
33:14has to be in stock and we have to get it installed tomorrow no pressure that's pretty that's also
33:21pretty so this has a bit of a pattern because of the variation it gives it kind of that pebbled effect
33:26but next to my parquet wood floors still might feel too busy this one is a looped carpet this is not
33:34bad this one and while it does have some striation to it it doesn't feel like too much the boots are
33:40coming off i don't know if this is the proper way to test carpet but i think it's important
33:46carpet like this is really nice but this is way too light because she's gonna have people eating and
33:50drinking and this is probably my favorite but let's see so next to my parquet floors i like
33:56this one i feel like this carpet is gonna age well with the space it's pretty timeless hi my name's
34:02kaden what can i do for you hi kaden i'm jasmine so the carpet when we rolled it out today didn't quite
34:09look as expected i think for our project i was particularly looking at this winter light color
34:14any chance that this is in stock here in the warehouse yep it's available that's awesome thank you of
34:20course problem solved the countertops are going in and they're quartzite which i'm so excited about
34:33quartzite's a material that i think is going to be perfect for priscilla because it's really durable
34:39for this backsplash we're going with a moroccan tile it's made of clay it's handcrafted and it's
34:45beautiful it's the opposite of peel and stick i need to replace my cute little fast and easy backsplash
34:54yes you made it back how do you like it it looks awesome wow good choice by the way thank you the
35:02second time jasmine yeah it's bad news can you hear that yeah i went out to get the other glass bulb
35:11for the pendant and it's shattered in the box no that is not good we can't have her back until
35:18we have this light in yeah well let's call the lighting rep hi this is kristen hi kristen it's
35:25jasmine roth we hung one of the pendants and it looks gorgeous the bad news is the globe for the other
35:31light arrived broken we're like done like we're supposed to be moving furniture and what tomorrow
35:36is there any chance we can get this globe unfortunately the light you have is back
35:42ordered for two and a half months or i could reach out to our warehouse and see if they can find any
35:49replacement if it's in stock we will overnight it at no cost that's amazing thank you okay talk soon
35:54oh my gosh i'm i'm holding out hope
36:06she's got it i don't know why i'm grabbing the biggest drug there was this is kind of where it
36:11gets fun the construction on this house is done which means it's time for us to move in i'm so
36:16excited about the window treatment i feel like it's going to make a huge difference to have something up on
36:20these windows hi hi jasmine i just heard from the listing agent and they accepted your offer no way
36:33that's great news finally thank you for your help this is a big commitment i have a lot of work to do
36:39because i just bought a shell and it still needs a lot of work but that's one box that's checked off
36:44jasmine guess what you know that broken globe on the pendant yeah nice our lighting rep
36:50found not one but two globes that she was able to overnight us for the broken
36:56light fixture having a backup is a nice touch oh she pretty
37:06i'm super nervous today i've got butterflies in my stomach i'm so excited for priscilla
37:12she's lived in this house for a long time and this house means so much to her she's fought for
37:16this house and to be here when she gets to see her dreams coming true is such an honor hi hi new house
37:26welcome home i'm so excited yeah me too actually didn't sleep i was like a little kid at christmas
37:33i'm really really excited so i know josie was the one that called initially and yeah she's on her way
37:39but this is your house this is your new beginning and we wanted to make sure that you know you get to see
37:43the house first right okay so our budget for this project was 225 000 yes we came in right on budget
37:50that's great you've been out of your house now almost two months so we came in on time
37:54i know that you had the opportunity to pay this house off and live in it the way it was yes not do
38:00this renovation so i guess today is the day that we decide if that was the right move or not i'm excited
38:05i think we should go inside yeah i'll let you go first yay oh my gosh
38:21yay oh my gosh it is so beautiful i never imagined any of this oh my gosh it looks different oh my gosh
38:35this is good is it awesome they're the same bookshelves that you had before but we covered
38:50up the mirrors they're so pretty it's so beautiful oh okay i think the mirrors were dating it i love it
38:58breathtaking this carpet is new and this was a challenge is trying to match the carpet with the
39:04parquet floor so that it didn't feel like it was competing with it and it does go with it really
39:08well this now feels like a room that you kind of want to hang out in right definitely let's look this
39:13direction what's missing the bar and the wall do you miss either no look how big that is that is
39:21massive and that's a kitchen that is a kitchen and it's so beautiful look at this oh my gosh
39:34so beautiful wow you have blown my mind this is a warming drawer you're cooking and you have
39:46you know things that are coming out of the oven at different times this is how you keep them warm
39:50seriously wow i love it open this one oh so i'm not gonna lie josie helped with a lot of these we
39:58knew that your kitchen was so important to you and so she came to the cabinet shop and we went through
40:03and picked out all the different ways to trick out your kitchen oh fun open this one i needed this
40:11i have so many of these and i don't know what to do with them now you have this beautiful island
40:18i can't wait i'm very excited i've never imagined an island this big this is what i've always dreamed of
