00:0098% of British households are drinking British milk.
00:10We're here at Freshways in Smethwick, in Samwell in the West Midlands,
00:15because this business here, this dairy plant, is investing £25 million in this new facility.
00:22The plant and production facility here will be good for our local economy,
00:27it will be good for people getting jobs here, but it will also be helping the farming industry too,
00:32because this plant has a production capability that will help farmers in the agricultural community
00:38around the West Midlands, as well as helping people here in Samwell with the new jobs that are going to be created.
00:44We send somewhere around about 1.1 million litres a year into Freshways.
00:49Producing it local and making it into their product more local, less mileage,
00:55it will be great news for the community.
00:57It's a fantastic investment, it demonstrates a real confidence in the West Midlands and with what we're doing here.
01:02I'm hoping over the months ahead and particularly at the Government Investment Summit,
01:06we'll get more opportunities throughout the region and more opportunities to attract investment like this here into the West Midlands.
