00:36Clark noted, the biggest thing that kind of helped me process from the sideline is you can really just

00:41digest the game in a different manner. She explained that being on the court involves a fast-paced

00:47environment where numerous elements demand her attention. In contrast, observing from the

00:53sidelines allowed her to gain a deeper understanding of the game's dynamics and to recognize what her

00:58team needed at any given moment, Clark spent significant time on the bench before she and

01:03the fever mutually decided that she would not return to play. The team's priority remained

01:10focused on ensuring her long-term health and well-being, the team's games, and she was actively

01:16involved in supporting her teammates despite her injury. Coach Stephanie White expressed her

01:22disappointment shortly after the decision was made, acknowledging the frustration that comes with

01:27not being able to play due to health issues throughout the season. However, she emphasized

01:31the importance of focusing on the bigger picture, which includes ongoing discussions about Clark's

01:36long-term health and well-being. The priority is ensuring that Clark is fully recovered and ready to

01:41return to the game when the time is right. Even with her injury challenges, Clark managed to garner

01:46nearly 1.3 million votes from fans, earning her a spot as an all-star and allowing her to serve as an

01:53all-star captain for the first time in her career. With two successful all-star appearances in her

02:52and eye-catching passes. Her standout performance occurred at Gainbridge Fieldhouse when the Fever

02:57faced the undefeated New York Liberty in mid-June. After missing five games, Clark made a triumphant return,

03:03scoring 32 points, grabbing eight rebounds and providing nine assists, leading the Fever to

03:09become the first team to defeat the Liberty. The defending champion secured a victory in the

03:15Commissioner's Cup with a score of 102-88. In that match, Clark excelled by making seven out of her 14

03:22attempts from beyond the arc, finishing the game with an overall shooting performance of 11 for 20.

03:27Additionally, she contributed defensively with two blocks and a steal, showcasing her potential on that

03:33end of the court, while also demonstrating her offensive prowess. Over the course of 13 games,

03:39Clark maintained a shooting percentage of 40% from the field and 32.9% from three-point range.

03:47These statistics are only slightly lower than her performance during her rookie season,

03:51despite similar levels of play. Looking ahead, Clark has a full off-season to prepare

03:56for her return to the court in a Fever uniform. This time will allow her to recover and rehabilitate

04:02any lingering injuries before the start of the 2026 season. She is one of only three players from

04:08the Fever, who are under contract for the upcoming season, alongside Aaliyah Boston and
