This is a short story.
Emma, a small girl, needed to discuss something but never did. The moral of the story is that everyone in a family may be thinking deeply or going through something they don't talk about.
Transcript
00:00The classroom hums with quiet chatter, but Emma sits alone, her gaze locked on the rain streaming down the window outside.
00:08Her teacher calls her name gently, but she blinks in surprise, lost in her own silent world, fingers clenched tightly around her pencil.
00:17At home, joyous voices echo from the kitchen.
00:20Emma stands at the threshold, wanting to step forward, but her lips remain pressed, word stuck inside.
00:26Late at night, she curls under her blankets.
00:31The shadows press in, and tears streak quietly down her cheeks, muffled by her pillow.
00:37A family photo falls from her dresser.
00:39She kneels to pick it up, lingering on the smiling faces.
00:44Her own reflection in the glass looks distant, almost vanished.
00:48In the morning, her mother gently brushes Emma's hair.
00:51Their eyes meet, her mother sees the storm inside, offering silent comfort in a simple, lingering touch.
00:59On the walk to school, Emma's little brother slips his hand into hers.
01:04She squeezes back, just a little, finding strength in his small, unexpected warmth.
01:10And now for her eyes.
