00:00Good morning, well after what was a wet end to the weekend we have further blustery showers
00:06for many of us as we go through today and most of them will be focused across England
00:11and Wales. They're going to be heavy with hail and some thunder too but to the north of that
00:17across northern England much of Scotland, Northern Ireland plenty of sunshine coming through but
00:23across the far north that's where we have persistent rain across Shetland. We'll also
00:28hold on to some strong winds with coastal gales along the south coast so feeling unpleasant here
00:33underneath any heavy downpours but to the north of that feeling pleasant where you get the sunshine
00:39and lighter winds. So as we go through this evening and overnight the area of low pressure that's
00:45responsible for all of these showers will shift its way eastwards so most of those showers will
00:50start easing across eastern areas as we go through the night. There'll be some clear spells in between
00:56as well and here we'll see a few mist and fog patches developing and turning a little bit chilly but
01:01towards the west that's where we'll see further showers moving through during the early hours.
01:08Otherwise temperatures still holding up around 9 to 11 or 12 degrees but in the clear spells
01:14temperatures are falling away so it could be a little bit chilly with some mist and fog to start
01:19Tuesday. But there will still be some dry and bright weather across eastern areas to start Tuesday
01:25morning but otherwise a focus for the showers more so across western areas so this time more so across
01:31Northern Ireland into Scotland, Northern England, Wales and the southwest. Now they're not going to be as
01:36heavy or as frequent as today and there will be some brighter interludes in between and lighter winds as
01:43well compared to Monday. Otherwise temperatures still holding up at around 14 to 16 degrees so around
01:51average for the time of year. And then as we go through the week looks like there's heavier spells of
01:57rain Wednesday evening into Thursday and then something a little bit colder as we head into the weekend.
