00:00Full-time here at Anfield and Liverpool have sank to a fourth successive defeat in all competitions.

00:09A 2-1 loss at the hands of fierce rivals Manchester United.

00:14And Liverpool's concern and start to the season to the Premier League title defence continues.

00:19And if things carry on this way, then Liverpool will definitely not be defending their Premier League crown

00:25because they're four points behind Arsenal now and Alan Slott's got some serious work to do to turn this around

00:33because Liverpool, the vulnerabilities were there for all to see again this season.

00:40Hit on the counter-attack and poor from set-pieces.

01:20But so did United as Liverpool were going forward.

01:22He looked a bit ponderous on the ball, knocking it around, struggling for ideas.

01:28He did open up Man United a couple of times.

01:31Cody Gachpov had to score when he was played in by Mo Salah, struck the post.

01:37Gachpov hit the post again for a deflection.

01:42The British record signing had two chances that he had to do better with.

01:45One, he dragged wires and one was fairly easily saved by the goalkeepers.

01:49So United carrying a threat with Bruno Fernandes.

01:52Flash and wires would be disappointed he didn't hit the target.

01:55And Mason Mount were using a good save from Marmordashvili.

01:58Second half, Liverpool, with a better team, praises more.

02:02So, especially when Florian Vert and Curtis Jones came on, they made a difference.

02:07So did Federico Chiesa, Hugo Eketike.

02:10Liverpool's equalised with 12 minutes remaining.

02:14Through Cody Gachpov, who's hit the post for a third time earlier in the half.

02:17Mo Salah wasted a big chance at the back post.

02:19But Gachpov finishing off a good move, involving Eketike and Chiesa crossing.

02:27And there was Gachpov to prod home from close range.

02:29Can Liverpool take the momentum now?

02:31Can he steal another late win?

02:33But no, it was Man Utd who went and did so.

02:36Liverpool vulnerable again from set pieces to second phase.

02:40There were three Man Utd players queuing up at the back post.

02:43And there was Harry Maguire, who missed a massive chance to win this game last season.

02:47Heading home past Marmordashvili.

02:49But Pils were fair, he had a chance to equalise.

02:51Gachpov missing.

02:53Could have had a hatchet today, could have had four goals.

02:56But Pils profligate in front of goal.

02:58And it's lots of...

03:02I think he, again, points to the fact that Pils raised his chance from open play.

03:06You can see it from a set piece.

03:08And he didn't threaten from set pieces again.

03:10I think, you know, he's put a lot of emphasis on that as well.

03:16But, yeah, there's still plenty for Pils to do.

03:28It's another concern for Liverpool.

03:31But Arnestlott's got to make changes.

03:33The players who came off the bench will certainly be thinking they have a chance.

03:39So was Curtis-Jones.

03:42Hugo Aker, TK, showed his threat from the bench.

03:47And he'll be saying, well, I deserve to play over Alexander Reesach.

03:51And Chiesa, fifth goal contribution this season.

03:55And Jeremy Fringpong did excellent when he came on to attack his full-back all the time.

04:00So a lot for Arnestlott to ponder ahead of that game.

04:03But I know we're disappointed to defeat Liverpool, suffering a fourth success of loss.

04:07So then there's Liverpool 1-1, United 2.
