00:17Every setback I've faced, it has forced me to pause, reflect, and ask,

00:33So today, my dear friends, I want to share a story that cost me money, pride, and a whole lot of frustration.
00:42But it gave me wisdom that no textbook can teach.

01:21So mga two years ago,
01:23nag-start kami ng small sari-sari store.
01:27Excited ako na maghanap ng mga ibat-ibang supplier
01:30na pwede mag-deliver right from their shop or their supplies directly to us.
01:38Parang lumalabas eh, wala ng middleman.
01:41Diba? Imagine that.
01:43No more supermarket runs.
01:45So I can avail lowest prices.
01:47And even faster service.
01:50Tapos nagkaroon ng opportunity.
01:53Parabagang answered prayer.
01:55There was an older man.
01:57He approached me.
01:59Introducing himself as representative ng mga suppliers ng cold cuts.
02:06Ito yung tucino, hotdog, longganisa, etc.
02:10So nag-offer sila sa amin ng exclusive deal.
02:14Ano yung exclusive deal na yun?
02:16Ako yung magiging sole distributor sa area.
02:19Ibig sabihin, kapag may mga kailangan order na yan,
02:22sa akin lang o order.
02:24Diba? It sounds amazing.
02:26And in my excitement, I didn't even see the red flags.
02:30I agreed. I paid the amount.
02:33And here's the thing.
02:35Some of the goods were delivered at first.
02:37Yeah?
02:38But after that, silence.
02:41Wala nang paramdam.
02:42Walang tawag, walang text, walang deliveries.
02:46Does this sound familiar?
02:48Diba?
02:49Then, it hit me.
02:52I got scammed.
02:54Alam mo yung hardest part?
02:56Hindi ko ma-admit.
02:57Ayaw ko pang aminin.
02:58It wasn't just his deception.
03:01It was my greed.
03:02My rush to earn more.
03:04And my failure to slow down and pray
03:06before making that big decision.
03:11Alam nyo, sa totoo lang, sa simula,
03:13galit ako, naihiya.
03:16Kasi bakit?
03:17How can I be so careless?
03:18How could I let someone fool me?
03:22But as the day went on,
03:24God began to whisper the deeper truth.
03:26What is that?
03:26This wasn't just about losing money.
03:30It was about gaining wisdom.
03:32He showed me that I was in too much of a hurry.
03:37I wanted quick profits
03:39without carefully checking the details.
03:41I was blinded by promises
03:43instead of guided by prayer.
03:47Trials, my dear friends.
03:49Listen carefully.
03:50This is very important.
03:52Trials are there to make us better.
03:55You cannot outrun them.
03:57You cannot hide from them
03:58until you learn the lesson.
04:01It will show up again,
04:03maybe with different people
04:05or in different scenario,
04:07but the lesson will always return.
04:10And for me,
04:13what happened,
04:13this was an expensive experience,
04:16but it became what?
04:18A priceless reminder to slow down,
04:21pray,
04:23and seek God's direction
04:24before making big decision,
04:27especially when it comes to business.

05:35whenever you face trials of many kinds,
05:38because you know that the testing of your faith
05:41produces perseverance.
05:42Let perseverance finish its work
05:45so that you may be mature and complete,
05:48not lacking anything.
05:52Listen carefully,

05:55Trials,
05:56they are not punishments.
05:59They are preparation.
06:02They are there to refine our character,
06:06build our patience,
06:08and strengthen our faith
06:09for the biggest blessings

06:22Maybe God is teaching you to slow down.

06:44the learnings that God wants to teach you today.
