00:00By the time you next see me, I'm going to have one eye.
00:02This eye is getting removed today, so in the next few hours, it's gone.
00:05I'm going to be documenting the journey.
00:06See you after the surgery, bruv.
00:08That's cool.
00:09This whole thing started back in May 5th, 2018.
00:12I was at a house party, and I opened a beer bottle with a knife.
00:15The knife went in my eye, and here we are today.
00:17Now, the eye was fine for a while, but then after a few years,
00:19it started to degrade, and it started to basically just die inside my head,
00:22and it was shrinking, so I've been on certain types of steroid drops to keep it alive.
00:26After years of pain and suffering, he decided to do something about it.
00:29Today, I've just been in basically constant pain.
00:31They tied my face up like Mike Tyson.
00:33Afterwards, though, I'll tell you what, I was in pain.
00:35He was asking me to rate I was like a 9.5.
00:37He was saying that my blood pressure was low, and I couldn't get out of bed.
00:39Yesterday, I had my eye removed, and I woke up today, and I'm feeling good.
00:43There was a little bit of pain.
00:45I got let go.
00:45It was all successful, and what was mad was I've not been able to sleep on this side for years,
00:51and I know I probably shouldn't have gone to sleep on this side last night,
00:54but I woke up, and I've been like, crap, crap.
00:57His recovery process isn't going to be easy.
01:0082 of my eye removal surgery, and the last night I was trying to sleep,
01:04and when I say there was an itch all over, poof.
01:08But it's just as painful as yesterday, really.
01:11Yeah, I'm actually, I want to take it off.
01:13I want to see, but I think I've got to wait a week.
01:15All I want to say is, whatever is going through your life right now,
01:18even though all that crap might be happening, you don't understand that all this stuff is happening.
01:23It's about to lead you into a better place.
01:25At the time, it feels like the world's falling apart, and you've lost everything,
01:29but actually, your life is about to get so much better.
01:31After providing some motivational words for his followers,
01:34he gave some insight into the operation itself.
01:36What this is, is the inside of the eyeball has been removed,
01:40but the outer shell has been left in place, along with all the muscles.
01:43And this is basically emptying the insides out, and then leaving the shape.
01:47So along with this, I've had an orbital implant implanted into my ball socket,
01:52and then it's been attached and stitched to the muscles,
01:56so that when this eye moves, that eye moves with it.
01:58This is to allow the prosthetic, once I actually do get it put in,
02:02that it moves along with the same as my eyes, and I can actually feel it when I move.
02:07And the last thing that I've done is I've stitched my eyelids shut to help protect the eye.
02:12Five days into the healing process, he had a surprise waiting for us.
02:16I'm removed. It's time to take it off.
02:19And there you go, guys.
02:20Looks mad, though. My hair's stuck to my face.
02:23This is like sterile saline water, I think it is.
02:25I actually see where the knife originally scarred my eye there.
02:30You can see that little line.
02:32I think what I'm going to do is just go inside out.
02:33A few days later, it was time to have his stitches removed.
02:37A greater way out of habit, I actually picked up my sunglasses,
02:39because usually my eyes are sensitive to light.
02:41But since the surgery, that is no longer a problem.
02:43It's actually mad the difference that I've had in my day-to-day life.
02:45I can actually have a conversation with people whilst holding eye contact.
02:47I can actually stand tall and actually walk straight, because I'm not dodging sunlight.
02:51You don't know what you've got until it's gone,
02:52and I didn't realise how much it was actually affecting my daily life before I had surgery.
02:56Even the same task that used to drain me, and now they're having no effect.
02:59It comes up from me, let's go.
