00:05Michaela K.K. Timpson entered the fever as a rookie for the 2025 season after spending four

00:11years competing in NCAA basketball at Florida State. Her first season in the WNBA was marked

00:16by frequent changes in the team's roster and player rotations, which led to an inconsistent

00:22start for her. Nevertheless, throughout the tumultuous season for Indiana, Timpson demonstrated

00:28glimpses of her potential while wearing a fever uniform. Amber Cox, speaking after the draft,

00:34emphasized the significance of defensive versatility for the team. She noted,

00:39The most crucial aspect for us is our ability to adapt defensively. We have numerous offensive

00:45options, but on nights when our shots aren't falling or when we face tougher challenges,

00:48we must be able to secure stops. We definitely need to improve in that area. Cox further explained

00:54the importance of having players who can address defensive needs and provide various defensive

00:59strategies. She highlighted Timpson's attributes, stating, Having players who can fill those roles,

01:05like KK, who offers rim protection, along with her length, athleticism, and versatility,

01:11is something we have been lacking. Timpson has expressed a desire to improve her performance.

01:16Throughout the season, she averaged 2.6 points and nearly two rebounds in just seven minutes of play

01:22per game. She achieved double-digit scoring on two occasions, with standout performances of 14 points

01:28against Chicago and 10 points against the Golden State Valkyries. In both of these games, she

01:33demonstrated remarkable efficiency, shooting over 55% from the field. Her playing time varied

01:38significantly, as coach Stephanie White strategically chose to utilize Timpson based on the specific matchups.

01:44In situations where her height and athleticism provided an advantage, she played as much as 22 minutes,

01:50while in other scenarios, her time on the court was limited to just one minute. Regardless of the

01:56circumstances, Timpson remained adaptable and ready to seize the opportunities presented to her.

02:02Defensively, Timpson's contributions enhanced the Indiana Fever's versatility. Standing at 6 feet 2 inches,

02:09she enabled the team to employ various defensive strategies against larger post players. Additionally,

02:14her ability to track the ball near the rim resulted in numerous chances for blocked shots.

02:20She recorded a block in eight different games and maintained her influence during the postseason

02:26by blocking three shots in those high-pressure matches.
