00:00Welcome to Ms. Mojo, and today, we're counting down our picks for the five most engaging post-credits scenes and the five that went nowhere.
00:14This doesn't include the funniest ones, as they deserve their own list.
00:23Spoilers ahead for the following films.
00:25Number 5, Pointless. Superman is back. Black Adam.
00:30Okay, Black Adam. My name is Amanda Waller. Congratulations, you have my attention.
00:38Not without its problems, the adaptation of Black Adam left some audiences feeling strange.
00:43The credit scene doesn't seem to save the experience, either.
00:46After the hero talks to Waller, he finds himself confronted by a DC legend.
00:51There's no one on this planet that can stop me.
00:53I can call in a favor and send people who aren't from this planet.
00:57Superman's appearance fails to win us over, though.
00:59All these years later, it only makes us sad to see the wasted potential.
01:03It's been a while since anyone's made the world this nervous.
01:12Black Adam.
01:15The Man of Steel only makes us pine for a better adventure.
01:18There's also only the brief conversation instead of the fight we all want.
01:23The cameo could have been a much happier occasion, but instead it feels too little and too late.
01:29We should talk.
01:33Number 5, Exciting. Fantastic Four incoming. Thunderbolts.
01:37If he puts together a team, and then the team is called the Avengers, then who are the real Avengers?
01:43Well, that's the question the internet has been asking, and judging by the very nasty memes that I've read, they don't think that it's us.
01:50At the end of Thunderbolts, the ragtag group might be closer than ever.
01:54This makes the inclusion of another team all the more interesting.
01:57How will these anti-heroes deal with the incoming Fantastic Four squad?
02:01It's a fun idea that this credit scene explores with an amusing cliffhanger.
02:06Avengers. Avengers.
02:11With the Z, there is no copyright.
02:13No.
02:14So soft to feel like bottom of Baby Seal.
02:19We might not know what happens next, but we sure hope the current Marvel phase lets them clash.
02:24Get a satellite image.
02:26Fire up.
02:27I was gonna say that.
02:28And fire up the jets.
02:29We wouldn't need to fire up the jets if we had a sentry who could fly.
02:33I know. Sorry.
02:34The tension is palpable, and the spaceship makes us wonder about the future.
02:38With any luck, this enjoyable teaser starts a better trend.
02:41At the very least, it makes you want to watch the Fantastic Four first steps.
02:45Extra-dimensional? What does that mean?
02:48Wow.
02:54It's a cool ship.
02:56You might not remember that American Gangster even has one of these scenes.
03:12The Denzel Washington drama covers the title criminal's life, but then it decides to give viewers one last glimpse at the character.
03:19Lucas walks into a room and fires one shot at the camera.
03:22It might look cool, but it does nothing for the narrative.
03:27It could have been better to give audiences another scene that alludes to the man's later life.
03:31The quick moment is reminiscent of the Great Train robbery and the Goodfellas ending.
03:35Get to live the rest of my life like a schnook.
03:38More time with Washington is nice, but they could have called it quits earlier.
03:51Number 4. Exciting.
03:53Roy and Niles. Palm Springs.
03:55Throughout the film Palm Springs, Niles finds himself stuck in a time loop.
03:59His complicated relationship with Roy only makes matters worse.
04:02I hope you find it, man.
04:05Yeah.
04:10Given their strange history, this last scene is all the more satisfying.
04:14The hero is approached by J.K. Simmons' gruff character, only to be confused.
04:19Hey, shitbird.
04:20I got the message from your girlfriend last night.
04:22That is a pretty crazy theory.
04:24You really think it could work?
04:27I'm sorry.
04:29Do I know you?
04:29Without explaining everything, the movie has a clever way of telling the older man what happened.
04:35There's also some hope that he'll find his way out of the Groundhog Day scenario.
04:39For giving us one last reason to smile, this subtle finale feels more exciting than we could have expected.
04:45Wow.
04:46Daisy, I'd like a...
04:47Lots of alcohol, please.
04:51Nice to meet you.
04:52Yeah.
04:54Number 3. Pointless.
04:56After the fight.
04:57The Grey.
04:57In one of his tough guy roles, Liam Neeson becomes an outdoor survivalist in The Grey.
05:02The plane crash survivor ends the movie by preparing to fight a wolf.
05:16With an unclear result, this credit scene gives viewers one more tease.
05:20It would have been nice to know who came out on top, rather than continuing the mystery.
05:24Considering the two fighters and the elements, we're pretty sure that neither party is doing all that well.
05:29You could theorize for days, but it all feels like a pointless exercise.
05:34If anything, it seems to be a frustrating cliffhanger that's not super helpful.
05:38Number 3. Exciting.
05:48Blues reunion.
05:49Sinners.
05:52This little light of mine.
05:58At the end of Sinners, viewers might be exhausted in a good way.
06:02The only thing left to do is jump into the future.
06:04I don't know why, in the hell I'm here.
06:15Because the woman I'm loving.
06:18We revisit the blues player Sammy Moore as an older man, with a meeting between former associates.
06:24Buddy Guy lends authenticity to the film as a legend in his own right.
06:27In a nod to music history, director Ryan Coogler manages to give these characters a worthy send-off.
06:33Last time I seen the sun.
06:36Early in this morning.
06:37Just for a few hours.
06:41It was free.
06:43As I opened up my eyes.
06:47Something just feels right.
06:54He also explains one more mystery before showing the musician play.
06:58Whether or not it gets a sequel, the movie makes us invested in where these people might go next.
07:10Number 2. Pointless.
07:13Going to Valhalla.
07:15Thor. Love and Thunder.
07:16Jane Foster makes the ultimate sacrifice in Thor Love and Thunder.
07:20Forgoing her health to help defeat Gore.
07:22I love you.
07:25I love you too.
07:35This makes for an emotional moment that doesn't need revisiting.
07:39After the movie is over, the filmmakers choose to show her in Valhalla.
07:43You can't imagine her going on your own without this obvious visual.
07:59Viewers get to see Idris Elba's character Heimdall again.
08:02But it's not all that important.
08:04Jane Foster.
08:06Heimdall?
08:07I see you're dead now.
08:10Uh, yeah.
08:11It might have been more worthwhile to show Foster again if she survived.
08:15You could have set up the next Thor adventure or made a decent joke, but this ending leaves us bored.
08:21You are very welcome here to the land of the gods.
08:28Welcome to Valhalla.
08:32Number 2. Exciting.
08:34Wedding.
08:34Napoleon Dynamite.
08:35The ending of Napoleon Dynamite is nothing short of triumphant, but filmmaker Jared Hess includes one more incredible scene.
08:51For those wondering about Kip and his relationship, they get to see him married off to La Fonda.
08:56It's an amazing ceremony filled with all the awkwardness and laughs you can hope for.
09:01If that isn't enough, Dynamite shows up on a trusty steed.
09:04Sorry I'm late.
09:05I just got done taming a wild honeymoon stallion for you guys.
09:10Hmm.
09:11It's all played with some fantastic performances and a few extra lines to make fans happy.
09:16You might even be quoting this scene before it's all over, with another awesome send-off for these iconic characters.
09:22I hope your guys' experiences are unforgettable.
09:26Hmm.
09:26Before we unveil our top picks, here are a few honorable mentions.
09:40Exciting.
09:41Closing in.
09:42John Wick Chapter 4.
09:43Akira has the jump on Kane, making viewers wonder which one might survive.
09:56Exciting.
09:56Believing in Ghosts.
09:58Fast Five.
09:59This wild franchise features one more twist about Letty's fate.
10:02You believe in Ghosts?
10:15Pointless.
10:16Spider-Man crossover.
10:17Morbius.
10:18There's no point in bringing Michael Keaton into this messy affair.
10:21I'm not sure how I got here.
10:24Has to do with Spider-Man, I think.

10:41Number 1.
10:43Pointless.
10:44Harry Styles.
10:45Eternals.
10:50Behold.
10:52The royal prince of Titan.
10:55Brother of Thanos.
10:56It had its fans, but Eternals wasn't the most beloved Marvel entry.
11:00You could argue whether or not the scene makes it even worse.
11:03The main focus is Harry Styles' reveal as Eros.
11:06The great adventurer, Star Fox of Mystery Planet.
11:11What a pleasure to make your acquaintance, my fellow Eternals.
11:17He's not on screen for long, nor does he add much other than a few moments of distraction.
11:22His appearance presents plenty of questions that might not be answered any time soon.
11:27I'm Eros.
11:28This is Pip.
11:30And you are as beautiful as legends say, Tina.
11:33It also makes you wonder if this movie really needs more characters,
11:36or if it could have waited to set them up later.
11:38The same could be said for another moment where Whitman hears Blade speak.
11:42Mr. Whitman?
11:47With so much uncertainty surrounding the property,
11:50you might wonder if the franchise should do a complete reset.
11:53Your friends are in big trouble.
11:57And we know where to find them.
11:58Number 1 exciting.
12:00Nick Fury's Invitation.
12:02Iron Man.
12:03This wasn't the first post-credits scene ever,
12:05but it certainly got the ball rolling for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
12:09Jarves.
12:10Welcome home, sir.
12:15I am Iron Man.
12:17The stellar Iron Man comes to a close with parting words from Nick Fury.
12:22He invites Tony Stark to join the team,
12:24making history and starting off a hugely successful franchise.
12:28The scene itself gets right to the point with only a few lines needed.
12:31It also helps that two legends like Robert Downey Jr. and Samuel L. Jackson are present.
12:36Nick Fury.
12:38Director of S.H.I.E.L.D.
12:40Oh.
12:41I'm here to talk to you about the Avenger Initiative.
12:43We can't imagine a world where the MCU doesn't exist.
12:47But moments like this and the Age of Ultron teaser helped make the franchise iconic.
12:52Fine.
12:54I'll do it myself.
12:56Did we forget another credit scene worth checking out?
13:00Let us know in the comments below.
13:03You got it, Tony.
13:06It was fine.
13:08The little boy handled it.
