00:00You say Inno, I say search! Inno! Search! Inno! Search!
00:14Hello and welcome back to another exciting episode of TechConnect.
00:17We are back and we are ready to get innovative with our searching with InnoSearch.
00:22And we're going to be taking a look at some new features of this exciting search platform that's accessible for people with vision loss.
00:28You can check out a live video we did before about this, but today, Corey, we're going to be diving into some of those new and revolutionary features that they've introduced.
00:36Are you ready to InnoSearch?
00:38I am ready. For those that are familiar with InnoSearch, you know that you can search a number of different stores, including Amazon and eBay and Walmart.
00:49They've got the ability to buy tons of different products, even book flights.
00:53But one of their new features, actually two features we're going to look at first, is their ability now to do food, grocery and food delivery.
01:01But then they've also added a new feature called their Co-Browse AI.
01:07And this is basically taking the information that they have gathered from their phone based solution, put it on their website and we're going to show how you can use that AI to make browsing their site even easier.
01:20Corey? Yes?
01:22I didn't know that books could fly.
01:24I didn't either.
01:26Can books fly?
01:28Let's find out.
01:34Alright, the first feature we are taking a look at is the eat feature.
01:38What do you think you can do with the eat feature, Luke?
01:41I'm guessing you can eat your computer?
01:44Yes, you sure can. Yum yum.
01:46Don't forget the gigabytes.
01:48Anyways, yes, you can search for food and groceries.
01:54Now, you were able to do that prior using their shopping feature that was looking at like Amazon and Walmart.
02:01But those things took a couple of days to get delivered.
02:03And we want our food pronto right this moment.
02:07And with their new eat feature, you can get groceries and food delivered within an hour.
02:13And because it's InnoSearch, they're going to make it easy.
02:16And that's what we're going to find out.
02:18So we are on the homepage here.
02:19Again, that's InnoSearch, I-N-N-O-Search.ai.
02:24And on the homepage here, there's a list of five items.
02:27Kind of the different things you can search for.
02:30Search for?
02:31Search for, including shopping and flights.
02:34But we want eat.
02:35There we go.
02:37And when we land on the eat section, there's a search box here.
02:45And I'll be honest with you, Luke.
02:46This one got me a little goofed up in the beginning because it's not really labeled at all.
02:53And so your first instinct is to kind of type in whatever you want to search for.
02:58Like whatever type of food or grocery.
03:00But what are you supposed to put in there?
03:03I believe you're supposed to enter your delivery address.
03:06Yeah, that is correct.
03:07I couldn't figure out why.
03:08It was too, why I was not getting anywhere.
03:11Annoyingly, visually, it does say in there, enter your delivery address.
03:14But it doesn't seem to be tagged for the screen reader.
03:16Yeah.
03:17So in a search, one thing you might want to just quickly get this edit field labeled correctly.
03:22So let's put in our address here so we can get it delivered.
03:25I want you space found zero N, found five space A-K-E-Y, found five suggestions.
03:31And one of the things you'll hear is saying that it's found some suggestions.
03:35It does do a search and we can use our down arrow and look for whatever address we were starting to type in.
03:41So we actually don't have to type the whole thing in.
03:43Search list with five, 912 North Hawley Road, Milwaukee.
03:47That's us.
03:48Enter.
03:49Food and Grocery Dash.
03:51All right.
03:52So now we are on our page with our delivery address correct.
03:55Now, the delivery address is a heading so we can make sure that that's correct.
04:00Deliver the call in 912 at Hawley Road.
04:03All right.
04:04So you confirm we've got the right address.
04:06Now, on here, our next search box will allow us to type in whatever type of food or grocery we're looking for.
04:13Search for food, grocery, or any.
04:15Enter.
04:16And in this case, we are going to take a look for a turkey sub.
04:20I'm hungry for a turkey sub.
04:21Me too.
04:22But I know you're not a meat eater.
04:25But I bet you the place that has a turkey sub will also have a veggie sub.
04:29So let's find out.
04:30Here we go.
04:31We'll find out.
04:32Enter.
04:33It's Jimmy.
04:34Escape.
04:35So, all right.
04:36We've typed in turkey sub.
04:37And now all of our search results are headings.
04:40So we can simply and quickly look through what are some of the different restaurants that offer a turkey sub.
04:47Cousin subs heading level 2 league.
04:49Jake's Deli heading level 2 league.
04:51Jersey Mike's heading level 2 league.
04:53Subway registered heading level 2.
04:55Jimmy John's heading level 2 league.
04:57That's what we're looking for.
04:58The good old Jimmy John's.
04:59Enter.
05:00Food and grocery dash InnoSearch AI code.
05:02And once we've brought up the, once we've chosen the restaurant we want, now we're taken to kind of the general restaurant store.
05:10Now this is where I think InnoSearch maybe made a misstep or maybe they just couldn't do it.
05:17But Luke, in your opinion, if you did a search for turkey sub and then you chose Jimmy John's, what would you kind of expect to see on this Jimmy John's page?
05:29Just a big turkey sub with loads of turkey, loads of lettuce, loads of tomato.
05:34Just a big picture?
05:35A big picture of it?
05:36I don't need anything else.
05:37Just show me a big picture of a turkey sub.
05:38But don't worry.
05:39It's got very detailed alt text.
05:41Oh, there you go.
05:42Yeah, you would expect that you'd be brought to the Jimmy John's page with maybe inside the category that has turkey subs or, or a list of the turkey subs, but you're not.
05:53You're just brought to the main store page.
05:56And this is true for anything you search for.
05:59And so at this point you then need to browse the categories.
06:03And so if we use our heading, we can now down arrow and look through the different categories to then find whatever category our food that we're looking for would be under.
06:18Once you choose that category, then each product is a heading.
06:22So again, jumping through and finding what you want is pretty simple by just navigating by heading.
06:29Not only can you use it to search for food that you might want delivered right now, but it also can be super convenient if you want to just search for an accessible menu.
06:39Maybe you're going to be heading to a restaurant and you want to see what they have before you get there.
06:44You could use the InnoSearchEat function to look up that menu and be able to actually see it quite in an accessible way.
06:51And the nice thing, of course, is that all of the restaurant menus are going to be exactly laid out in the same way.
06:58So if you know how to navigate one of them, you'll know how to navigate all of them and find your perfect food.
07:03You are correct, Luke.
07:05Yes, Corby.
07:06All right, let's jump on to our second and last feature, the co-browse AI function.
07:13I'm throwing a party at my house this weekend, Luke.
07:18Thanks for the invite.
07:19You're very welcome.
07:20And it's a one person party and that's just me.
07:23And one of the products that I want at my party is a party size Oreos.
07:28You have to.
07:29It's a party.
07:30Well, I'm curious when it says party size Oreos, is it that the container is like you get tons of Oreos or is it one huge Oreo and you all just take a side and just eat?
07:40And then the end of the party is when you meet in the middle.
07:45There's only one way to find out, eh?
07:47I guess so.
07:48All right.
07:49So I've used the shopping feature already.
07:51I searched for Oreos.
07:53I chose my product Oreo party size, but now I'm on a page here that has a bunch of details and probably reviews.
08:00And rather than using my screen reader to find the information instead, I'm going to use the new co-browse AI feature and we'll see if we can use our voice in order to get the information we want.
08:13The co-browse button is at the top of the page.
08:16So I'm going to go up to the top and find it.
08:18Open co-browse AI button enter co-browse AI is typing.
08:22All right.
08:23So we've got the co-browse page open now and there is two options.
08:28There's an edit field where we could type in whatever we wanted to ask it.
08:33I'm really sorry about how to get this.
08:35Huh?
08:36I'm really sorry.
08:37Damn.
08:38I thought that was a real.
08:39Okay.
08:40It was.
08:41Okay.
08:42Yeah, go ahead.
08:43All right.
08:44So I am.
08:45I used the shopping feature already.
08:47I searched for Oreos and I chose the party size of Oreos and I'm now on that product detail page here.
08:55Now I know I could use my screen reader and look through this page and probably find a description, a cost and also reviews.
09:03But I want to use the new co-browse AI feature and I want to see how that works.
09:10So I'm going to go up to the top of the page.
09:12Oreo chocolate sandwich cookies party.
09:14And right at the top, we should find the co-browse AI button.
09:18Open co-browse AI button.
09:20All right.
09:21Let's choose it.
09:22Enter co-browse AI is typing co-browse AI chat dialogue.
09:26Connect.
09:27Now on this new co-browse AI screen, I can type in whatever I'm looking for.
09:34There's an edit field.
09:35So I could type in my question, for example, what are the reviews or what's the description.
09:41But underneath that edit box, there's also a voice button where I can interact with co-browse AI with my voice.
09:48Let's do that instead.
09:55What is the description of this product?
09:58I see the product description says one 24.116 Oz party size pack of Oreo chocolate sandwich cookies.
10:05Packaging may vary.
10:06Chocolate wafers always made with real cocoa and filled with original Oreo creme.
10:10Terrific.
10:11Sensational now.
10:12What are some reviews?
10:14I see a section for top user reviews on the page.
10:17Here are some of them.
10:19Felicia reviewed on August 7th, 2025, giving it five out of five stars.
10:23She mentioned that Oreos are always a hit in her house, especially the family pack.
10:27And they arrived fresh, crisp, and chocolatey with the creamy center.
10:31She also likes the resealable packaging.
10:33Heather McAndrew reviewed on August 29th, 2025, giving it five out of five stars.
10:38She described Oreo cookies as a childhood favorite, delicious, and loved the added yumminess of the frosting.
10:44She highly recommends them.
10:46As you can tell, we can use our voice to get information about the page that we're on, including the description and review.
10:52And then what I find to be really interesting is that it presents it to you in a more human-speaking kind of way, right?
11:01Rather than just kind of reading through the review.
11:05Instead, the co-browse AI was kind of presenting it to us in a more conversational way, letting us know how Heather feels about Oreo.
11:15So really cool.
11:16And one thing you can do that we didn't do in this example is you could start to then give it commands, including add to your cart.
11:24So the co-browse AI has the ability to actually not only find information on the page, but then interact with it, including performing searches, adding things to your cart and even kicking off the checkout process.
11:39So that was InnoSearch. It was innovative and it allowed us to search.
11:45Corey, what do you think about the new features?
11:48Yeah, I think that, you know, here's the dilemma I have.
11:54I think InnoSearch is actually quite convenient for those who find value in it, which is what a crazy statement that is.
12:02But I find that like when I'm ordering food, I tend to do it more from my phone, which, you know what, I can use InnoSearch from my phone as well, too.
12:11It's just a website.
12:12But I do think that I like them adding on the food and grocery delivery.
12:19That is something that we get from clients all the time.
12:22They want to be able to have food delivered.
12:24So being able to do that now a little bit more, a little easier and more accessible is definitely not a bad thing at all.
12:31Yeah, for sure.
12:32And it's free to use.
12:33And you can also, we didn't show it in this video, but you can also use your telephone to order as well.
12:38We sort of did.
12:39I mean, what we saw with the Cobrow's AI is actually really sort of the same to a certain degree as their phone based solution.
12:48But if you are interested in using InnoSearch without a computer at all, you can give 1-855-SHOP-GPT and that phone number will allow you to do everything by voice.
13:02So that is kind of cool, too.
13:03Is that nice?
13:04I will say the Cobrow's AI, it works better if you're wearing headphones.
13:09Oh, yeah.
13:10I found that to be quite a frustrating experience if you didn't have those headphones.
13:15Yes, indeedy.
13:16Well, let us know what you think down below in the comments about InnoSearch and whether you are using it and have tried any of the cool features.
13:23And, of course, please give the video a like and subscribe to the channel if you haven't already.
13:28And you can check out all of our exciting content, including our live show, which is done every two weeks.
13:33Corey and I talk about assistive technology things live on the air, 11 a.m. Central on a Thursday is when that happens.
13:40And you can see videos that we've done in the past in our YouTube channel.
13:44Make sure you like the video and subscribe.
13:46It does a world of good and really helps us out.
13:50Put it down in the comments, too.
13:52Is it hokey pokey or hokey cokey?
13:55We are really interested.
13:57We have an argument that needs to be settled and we want you to settle it for us.
14:02Also, go over to our learning management platform.
14:06That's techconnect.vision-forward.org

14:12And you can get tons of great content, get free ACVREP credits and really just grow your brain.
14:19Your brain needs to be grown.
14:21My brain does feel like it has shrunk at least five times since we began this video.
14:26So I agree.
14:27Are you like the Grinch, but instead of your heart shrinking, your brain shrunk?
14:31Yeah.
14:32My brain is very shrunken right now.
14:33Have you ever seen those shrunken heads?
14:35I have.
14:36Yeah.
14:37That's kind of what I feel like at the moment.
14:38Good.
14:39I feel like I'm responsible for your head shrinking.
14:41But if your head feels like it has also shrunk, then maybe we should end this video.
14:45We'll see you guys in a week or so.
14:47Bye.
14:48Bye.
14:55You say Inno.
14:56I say search.
14:57Inno.
14:58Search.
14:59Inno.
15:00Search.
15:01Yay.
15:02Let's find out how to browse the internet with ease.
15:05Please.
15:06Louise.
15:07Cheese.
15:08Yes.
15:09Squeeze.
15:10Knees.
15:11Knees.
15:12I thought we were done after.
15:14Knees.
15:15We are.
15:16We were.
15:17Okay.
