00:00Patriots were always sort of active around the trade deadline with Bill.
00:04Bill loved acquiring defensive players and projects and former first-round picks that were guys that didn't have the careers with their first team.
00:15I always think back to Kyle Van Noy, Detroit, former first-round pick.
00:21Bill wanted him, acquires him, and says, you know what, I'll make this guy a great player.
00:25But it was more likely a Van Noy-type deal than a Aqib Tlaib-type deal.
00:28Right.
00:30That's interesting, though.
00:31I forgot about Jacoby Myers.
00:34Played here.
00:36Gets the offense.
00:38I don't think Brady would trade him here.
00:41Why would Brady get rid of him?
00:43Because he's got to say so in the roster, and he's helping them.
00:48Why are we shipping him to New England?
00:49Well, because for long-term, you know, long-term, it's better to move him for a good pick.
00:55And long-term, he's not going to be there.
00:57That's what it would be.
00:58Is it really for a good pick?
01:00I don't know.
01:01I mean, if it is a good pick.
01:01What do you give it up to get him?
01:02A three or a four?
01:03A three or four is a good pick, isn't it?
01:05I guess so, yeah.
01:06Yeah.
01:08Honestly, I would rather they not do that deal, the Patriots.
01:10Yeah, I agree with that.
01:11I'd be out on that.
01:12See, I think, too, Brady's a former quarterback.
01:16Why would I trade away some guys that help us at the quarterback position?
01:20Like, if Geno's struggling as it is, or if it's going to be somebody else at some point,
01:24you know, tight ends on one leg.
01:27Do you remember the names of the receivers, though, who got dealt at the deadline last year?
01:31Do you remember all the guys who got moved in last year's deadline?
01:34God, no.
01:35Devontae Adams and Amari Cooper were both guys who moved at the deadline.
01:38Okay, so two big names, older, but Mike Williams got traded, Deontay Johnson, DeAndre Hopkins.
01:44Like, guys got moved at the deadline.
01:47A lot of receivers moved last year at the deadline.
01:50So, I don't know if that's a trend.
01:51I don't know if that's the way the league is going now, where there are more discussions
01:55and more teams willing to do deals.
01:58But if there was a deal that was on the radar of a year ago that you look at and say,
02:03oh, that's the running back deal, Cam Akers got moved and went back to Minnesota,
02:08and he was good there when he got back there.
02:11He had a good run.
02:15I think he averaged nearly five yards a carry there.
02:18And it was like a conditional seventh round thing.
02:22Like, it wasn't even a lot.
02:23I mean, he got moved for nothing.
02:24He's been dealt a bunch of times.
02:26But still, those are the types of deals they're way more likely to land on.
02:33So, let's go.
