00:00This is my artistic installation on the Komo Lake 2025.
00:08This is a frightening graphic panel.
00:12And the most frightening thing is in this grey box.
00:16This is an artistic simulation of an automatic AI controlled nuclear deterrent system.
00:24Because, you know, with a new type of missiles, like hypersonic missiles, which are extremely fast,
00:31and with the development of the artificial intelligence,
00:34such an automatic, completely automatic AI controlled missile launch system,
00:40becomes an interesting option, becomes something that might be our future.
00:46And my installation wants to emphasize that it is dangerous to give such a devastating power to a machine,
00:56which does not really understand what the apocalypse means.
01:00Because if such an automatic missile launch system exists, there will be no place for a human in this loop.
01:10It will do, like here, it will analyze the incoming signal.
01:15It will analyze the incoming signals, like radar signals, electromagnetic pulses, satellite signals, etc.
01:23And will analyze the situation, compute the level of danger.
01:30And if ever it thinks that there is a nuclear attack, it will launch the missiles.
01:37And there will be no human to stop it in case of a false alarm.
01:43And this is what I am trying to say by my installation.
01:48Because we, humans, we are outside, we are watching this system working.
01:53And this is a robotic hand, which moves according to the threat level.
02:00When the threat level is high, it moves closer and closer.
02:03Now it is low.
02:06When it is low, the hand is quite positioned.
02:11So when the threat level increases, the hand moves closer and closer to the red button.
02:19And if the threat level continues to increase, the finger will touch the red button, being ready to press if ever the threat level becomes 100.
02:33So we can see that the finger comes closer and closer to the red button.
02:40Thank you.
