00:00The head of a Cambodian scam network that's been hit with new U.S. and U.K. sanctions once lived in Taiwan and entered the country at least 10 times.

00:13China-born Chen Zhi is chair of the Prince Group, which is accused of luring workers into its scam centers with fake job ads,
00:20holding them captive and torturing them unless they help defraud victims online in what are known as pig butchering scams.
00:26The 37-year-old Chen is among people targeted by U.S. and U.K. sanctions against Southeast Asian scam rings.
00:34The crackdown has included the seizure of more than 14 billion U.S. dollars worth of Bitcoin
00:38and a U.S. indictment of Chen that could see him serve 40 years in prison.
00:43He remains at large.
