00:00Daniel Duggan was allowed to travel from jail in New South Wales to Canberra today for the federal court hearing.

00:25Australia did not have a law equivalent to the American one Mr Duggan is accused of breaching.
00:32The court heard under the law that should have ruled out an extradition.
00:36The lawyers also said it was extraordinary that he could be extradited from Australia to the United States for an alleged crime in South Africa.
00:46Mr Duggan was escorted into court today with four corrections officers.
00:51His wife says he's highly emotional and they are both holding on to hope.
