Hey guys,
Something different than usual today. I sat down to recount my experience at a protest I attended this past September and to share what I personally took away from it. There are more than 2,000 protests taking place all over the country this Saturday, October 18th which I hope all of us make a genuine effort to show out to. I'm not affiliated with the "No Kings" organizers behind them nor am I interested in promoting their event in particular. My goal is to urge everyone to exercise their right to protest in general. No Kings is simply an opportunity to coordinate with millions of others and connect over the issues that affect us all.
I truly only recorded and edited this in hopes of reaching my own friends, family, and followers in a way that was more digestible than a wall of text. However, this is a public video, so if you found it useful or insightful, feel free to share it with others! I hope this resonates with Gen Z people especially, as they are the most vocal yet unfortunately the least present when it comes to modern day issues. There are also many who sadly don't speak out at all. To those I say that our world is changing rapidly, and it will affect everyone for better or for worse whether you tune in or not. Time is of the essence, and it's all hands on deck if we are to successfully steer our world towards better, brighter, and more lighthearted days. I hope we all find it in ourselves to play our part, no matter how small.

00:00Hey guys, I need you guys to take me seriously though. I'm speaking on some real shit right now, okay?
00:12No jokes, no funny shit. Listen up. I'm just gonna read what I wrote down in my notes.
00:21Back in September, I went to the workers over billionaires protest, and I learned a few things,
00:28a handful of things, which I'm just gonna share with y'all, because if you don't know,
00:32there are more than 2,000 protests that are taking place this Saturday, October 18th, nationwide.
00:40And I hope you guys show out. I'm gonna go. They are organized under the No Kings movement,
00:46which I'm sure all y'all already heard about, and you can easily find more information about that
00:52stuff online. So on Labor Day, there was protests as well. I've been to one protest. This is the
00:59one protest. I wrote a bunch of stuff, like 9 p.m. that night. I sat down and I took notes on like
01:05how the day went, how the protests went. So here they are. I jotted down like the who, what, when,
01:11where, why, and what, or whatever. Who, who, what? Okay. Yeah. What twice. What the freak.
01:18So, who was there? Who was all there? I would say maybe like between 100 and 200 people,
01:26you know, in my state and my city. But I went with my partner, because me and Twin'em, that's
01:32something that I would recommend. Not going alone. Go with someone. I had someone with me,
01:39and I felt safer, and I felt, you know, if you can, go with somebody else. And then who else was there?
01:45There was a lot of old people. Hella old people and like millennials. Not that they're like old,
01:52but you know, older. Almost no Gen Z at all. Like no young people. And so I realized, you know,
01:59for next time, I gotta tell my friends or my followers about this next protest, because otherwise,
02:04like clearly, it's not ending up on their radars, or it's not registering as something that's like
02:09important, and they should show out to. If the trend continues, I don't think it's gonna click
02:14until, you know, we're, we're older. We're all fucking like seniors out there. And what are we
02:20gonna do? You know? So we gotta go now. So yeah, hardly any Zoomers at all, which was disappointing,
02:27but not surprising, since we live in an age of distraction. Our algorithm, if we let it,
02:34is gonna just convince us that everything's all rainbows and cupcakes, you know? It's not. So
02:40yeah, they desperately, desperately need some youthful energy out there. It's literally just
02:47seniors and millennials right now. We need younger people out there. We all have something to
02:52contribute, you know? Anyway, now I'm gonna talk about what I saw. There were people, and it was hot
02:58as fuck. There were people with coolers giving out free water. God bless those people. If you can be
03:05one of those people, and go out and bring some like cold water on a hot day, like, God bless you.
03:11There were people with tables set up with like resources, like books or pamphlets and stuff
03:17like that, newsletters. You could sign up for newsletters to receive newsletters. There were folks
03:21with megaphones, uh, speaking their minds, urging people to be ready to fight back, you know, and
03:28workers' rights, women's rights, queer rights, immigrant rights. When they all come under attack,
03:34what do we do? Fight back. There was a couple ladies, though, who brought their children, and they
03:41had them like sitting in a wagon. Like, everyone else is old as fuck, or there was millennials, but then
03:45these ladies brought their children, the only children they brought. And I was like, why the fuck would
03:50you bring your children? Like, that was a terrible, terrible idea. We're here, like, it's a political
03:55protest, clearly. We're gonna talk about, like, mature subjects. And I, I think you should teach
04:01your children the truth about the world, and don't sugarcoat shit. But at the same time, like, now we
04:06all have to, like, watch our mouths, and, like, babysit along with you. You know, it takes a village, because
04:11you brought your children to this protest, this political event. Like, thanks for that. The fuck? Leave them
04:18at home next time. But that's just me. I would not bring children to one of these protests, because
04:25God knows, the police will gas them. Like, if it comes to, to that, if it comes to that, which
04:31the bar, you know, the bar's low, they'll gas everyone, including your children. Leave them at
04:37home. Find a babysitter, or, you know, maybe you can stay home and just promote the protest to as many
04:42people who don't have children to see, and so they can go, you know. Like, don't bring children.
04:47Just please, don't bring children. Okay, and when was the protest? The protest I went to
04:51was around 9 in the morning, which is early. But at least in my city, it was probably, for
04:59the best, it was probably, like, necessary, because it's so hot. I can get why, like, we
05:05started earlier. But, I mean, I'm not a morning person. If you want to show up later, like, this
05:12Saturday on the 18th, go ahead. It'll probably go on for, like, a minute. Okay, and where
05:18was the protest? So, whoever planned the protest set the location of the protest as the state
05:25capital, the address of which was on the digital flyer. That was cool with me, even if it was
05:31Labor Day and nobody who works there would actually be in, because we would still be congregating
05:39and hopefully coordinating and stuff. In about half an hour in, give or take, someone decided
05:48to start marching for Ukraine, of all things. We got a lot going on at home, I think, but
05:57we can multitask, I suppose. They asked if anyone wanted to join, you know, join the march, and
06:05said that they'd only go so far. And a lot of people joined in, you know? They're like, oh, we're
06:11only going around the bend, going down to whatever street, and we'll be back. And let me just tell
06:15you, that's not what the fuck happened. But a lot of people joined in, myself included, because even
06:21if I wasn't big on the whole Ukraine thing, like, that's not my number one issue. It's not even my
06:25number six issue. There's only so much I think I can focus on. I was like, you know, people with all
06:31sources of opinions and stuff and causes joined in to march around for their causes. So I said,
06:38what the hell? I'll march. We were going, hopefully, where we were going to be more visible. And I was
06:43like, you know, more people will see my sign and see our movement. These aren't the signs I had that
06:48day, but I had a good one. It said, tax the rich, then tax them again. Hey, fuck you. Tax them three
06:57times. But I was like, yeah, what the hell? I'll go. We'll only go so far, they said. Nah, bruh. We
07:03walked so much. So much. It was so hot and so unorganized. Like, whoever said, hey guys, let's
07:13start marching for Ukraine. They were not leading shit. And then these people from the PSL, they
07:19started, like, rallying people. They started leading chants and stuff. But, like, they didn't really know
07:25where they were going either. And they weren't, like, communicating with the crowd. They weren't,
07:29like, telling us where we were going. Like, you kept hearing people ask, where are we going? Wait,
07:34where are we going? And, like, they wouldn't answer. And, like, we're looking at their phones and, like,
07:39they would, like, take wrong turns. And I was like, damn, what a shit show. I should have jumped ship
07:43way sooner and went back to the original location of the protest. That's what a lot of people did. We
07:51walked way too much and took forever. We lost so many people along the way. We just, you know,
07:56turn around, jumped ship, probably went back to the original site. And by the time we got back,
08:01the group that did stay marching, whatever, we basically got to, like, a news broadcasting
08:06station. And the people who were chatting were like, tell the news, tell the news, or, like,
08:10whatever. Uh, it's like, why, you know, we're the news. As long as we document our shit, like,
08:15we don't really need them to, like, whatever. That's where we ended up. But we started with,
08:20we're gonna march for, in support for Ukraine. So it's like, what are we doing here? I should
08:25have jumped ship. I should have gone back to the original site of the protest. And we did
08:29eventually. But a lot of people had cleared up by then. There was, like, less than 50 people when
08:33we got back. I was like, oh, great. So now I know, you know, I'm not doing that next time.
08:39We should have stayed together. Like, they're at the site. Maybe this Saturday. I'm down with
08:45marching, especially because, like, it's Saturday. I'm assuming no one's gonna be there at the
08:50Capitol. And people need to see us. So I'm done with marching. But maybe, like, let's
08:55say, if it's at 9, let's go around and be like, hey, let's march at 12. At 12, we're
09:00all gonna march. We're gonna go here, if everyone knows where we're going. And we're gonna come
09:06back. We're gonna come back to the site, the address on the flyer. Okay? We're gonna meet
09:12back here. Whatever. But that shit was ass. It was unorganized. I didn't really care for,
09:17like, the movement that, like, they started the march for. That should have been my, like,
09:21nah, I'll stay here. And then how unorganized it was while it was happening. I should have
09:26just been, like, nah. I should have jumped ship. All right, now the why. The why of the
09:32protest. So the protest was held on Labor Day, and the tagline was hashtag workers over billionaires.
09:39So we were chanting shit like, hey, hey, ho-ho, these billionaires have got to go. And then
09:47that same thing, but saying that Donald Trump has got to go. I had my sign that I made the
09:52night before. My partner's sign read, every day we're day is Labor Day. It's an everyday
09:58struggle, you know? That's all I wrote. That's all I wrote about Labor Day. Those are my notes
10:03from the last protest. I recommend the hat. Everyone wears a mask that, you know, gives
10:08them privacy. There's going to be photographers. People are taking pictures of us and stuff
10:13for maybe newspapers, whatever. And there was cops, of course, like, when we were marching
10:17through the city. We walked so far, bruh. So there's cops, there was photographers. Wear
10:22a mask. Keep your identity, you know, private. We wore hats, sunglasses, of course, light clothing,
10:28nondescript clothing as much as possible. I might have worn my Rick and Morty shorts. That
10:32was, you know, my bad. Some of us are lovers and not fighters. If shit goes down, though,
10:38they're going to gas y'all. They're going to shoot at y'all. Like, maybe with rubber
10:43bullets, but those can kill you. So I'd wear some sort of armor, like maybe motocross armor.
10:48I've heard people suggest that. You can make a shield out of, like, boogie boards, you know,
10:52for swimming. I saw someone make a makeshift shield out of boogie boards, and that helped
10:58stop the rubber bullets because those will F you up on gas masks and goggles because they're
11:03going to gas you. Like, they're going to gas you. If shit goes down, they're going to gas
11:07you. It's what they use for crowd disbursement. A helmet because, again, rubber bullets, they're
11:13near fatal. They're potentially fatal. Like, the police will fucking kill you. You know,
11:18wear a helmet. Wear goggles because, you know, that gas will burn your eyes. Wear a gas mask
11:24because they're going to gas you. Wear armor. Some sort of protection, you know, cardboard,
11:28boogie boards. Motocross armor is how people suggest. It's apparently, you know, pretty cheap
11:33and affordable. Gloves, like, heat-resistant gloves because they're going to throw gas canisters,
11:38which are really hot. Really, really hot. You don't want to handle them with your bare hands.
11:42So you can bring heat-resistant gloves to grab them, throw them where people aren't, like,
11:47like, innocent people who don't have protection, where they won't be. I'm not saying throw them back
11:51at the cops, but, you know, but goes around, comes around. And, yeah, nondescript clothing.
11:55You don't want to be easily identifiable. I'm not expecting any sort of quarreling with the police
12:00to go on earlier in the day, like, 9 a.m. From early morning to, like, early afternoon. I'm not
12:06expecting any sort of shit to go down, okay? I'm really not. What I want is for people to connect,
12:12to, you know, peruse the resources that are available to show off their signs, read other people's
12:19signs. You know, become aware of what people are there for. You know, boost your morale a little
12:24bit. You should all, uh, I don't know, make your voice heard. That's all I know. I only know what
12:30I know, you know? That's that. Uh, real quick, though, I guess I'll go down, like, I'm not gonna
12:35try to convince y'all to go, but I'm gonna go down a list of, like, why I'm going. So I have, like,
12:41five or six-ish reasons. So my number one priority, Donald Trump, has got to go. The rest of the stuff
12:46that I care about, it's like, shit, we're not gonna make any progress unless Donald Trump goes.
12:52Like, he's gotta go. He is public enemy number one. All these other issues, like, whatever you
12:58want to improve in the country, you're not gonna get anywhere while Donald Trump is president,
13:02so you should be working every day to impeach his ass, to throw the bum out. That should be your
13:07number one priority, I think. That's my number one priority. If we can all agree, especially at
13:11No Kings, if we can all agree that Donald Trump has got to go and that that's what we should focus
13:15our energy on before anything else, like, that's that. Uh, next is APEC legislators or anyone
13:22who's taking money from APEC, or from Israel. Our government is occupied, like, imagine my
13:27surprise. 80% of Congress accepting money from APEC, representing the interests of a foreign
13:33nation and not ours. Fuck that. Hashtag APEC legislators resign now. I don't want people who put
13:41Israel first, representing us. So wherever you are, whichever one of the 50 states that
13:47you are in, you know, find out who your legislators are that are bought by Israel. Go to track APEC,
13:54uh, dot com or whatever. They'll tell you which one of your legislators are bought by APEC,
14:00or you can go to opensecrets.org and see which one's accepted contributions from APEC or J Street,
14:08you know, any sort of Israeli lobby. That issue really irks me, and it's part of my, like, next
14:14issue, which is hashtag no U.S. tax money for Israel. Because when our legislators, when 80% of
14:22our Congress rides for Israel, all our money goes to Israel. It's not millions, it's billions of our
14:29tax dollars. Taxes that I pay, that you pay, that your mama pays, they go to Israel instead of us,
14:36instead of healthcare, instead of affordable housing, instead of, like, SNAP benefits, instead of
14:42infrastructure, instead of education. It goes to Israel so that they can blow up innocent Palestinians
14:49and continue to illegally occupy their land. It's not right. Hashtag America first, Israel never.
14:58Alright, so that's three. Next is... I forgot, but it's okay, I wrote it down. Right, right, okay.
15:08Hashtag abolish ICE. Waste of fucking money terrorizing people on the streets. It's Trump's
15:15Gestapo. Kidnapping people. No warrants. No due process. Throwing them in concentration camps.
15:21That's the difference, by the way, between, like, a detention camp, where, like, they're officially
15:26detained, and a concentration camp where they were thrown in there. No warrant. No, like, official
15:31arrest. No judge. No, no, uh, no hearing. None of that. That's a concentration camp. And the media
15:38won't put it that way, but we know better. The media will call what Israel is doing a war, but we know
15:44it's a genocide. They may have to pretend, but we don't. Let's keep it real with each other. Abolish
15:48ICE. They're kidnapping people, and if they're not throwing them in concentration camps to die because
15:53people die in their care, they're going to deport them to countries that they're not even from, or even
15:58worse, disappear them off the face of the earth. Abolish ICE. So that's number four. Number five,
16:05tax the rich. And tax them again. I don't give a fuck. No more tax cuts to billionaires, bruh.
16:13Why am I paying taxes? And Elon Musk is digging in his butt every day, living off the backs of
16:21everybody else. It makes no sense. Unless you're a billionaire, taxing the rich would only benefit
16:28everybody else. Like, the 99% of Americans. Like, the 1% needs to pay their dues. It's hours
16:35taxes that pay to give them tax cuts. The richest people in the country not paying taxes because
16:44of our taxes, because of everyone else who's poor paying their taxes. What are we paying taxes for?
16:49No one in the government represents us. I know most of us don't ride for Israel that hard. Don't ride
16:55for billionaires that hard. But that's what our government is doing. Protecting Israel, protecting
17:00pedophiles, protecting billionaires. And we're paying taxes for that? Fuck that.
17:05Tax the rich. My last issue would be universal healthcare for all. That's the very last. Like,
17:13to me, that is a top priority. But not with Donald Trump in office. Not with Israel occupying our
17:19government. Not with our taxes going to Israel. Not with our taxes going to tax cuts for the
17:25billionaires. And of course, not with their Gestapo and, you know, keeping us all in terror,
17:29for harassing us on the streets, for protesting for our rights, or just existing and being brown.
17:35Healthcare, universal healthcare for all, I think, is a possibility. Would love to see it in my
17:40lifetime. But we got a ways to go. And if we can focus all these issues, Donald Trump, AIPAC,
17:46you know, our government protecting the interests of a foreign nation, our government sending our taxes
17:51to a foreign nation, our government giving tax cuts to the ultra-rich, and, you know, terrorizing us
17:57in the streets, we need to focus those issues. But universal healthcare for all, I'm writing for
18:03that, you know? Or I'm dying for that, because Lord knows we're all gonna fucking die if we don't
18:09get healthcare. How many people do you know have not been to a dentist in years because they can't
18:13afford it? We only get two sets of those shits. Um, so that's me. I don't know about you.
18:19That's all I have for today. I really hope you guys show out on Saturday, because we're not gonna
18:24make it through, like, another Trump, like, full term. Maybe you're gonna make it. Not everybody is.
18:31And we need to feel for our fellow man and woman as if they are us, because it could be you. It could
18:38just as easily be you and their position. We are in an age where apathy, apathy is rewarded. A lot of
18:45people find it easier to bury their heads in the sand than to face all the issues that are plaguing
18:52our country. Don't lose your empathy. It could easily be you. You know, no man is an island.
18:59Today, it's undocumented people. Tomorrow, it's you. Today, it's Palestine. Tomorrow, who else?
19:05I just, I need everyone to draw the line. Draw the line somewhere and go out there. Again,
19:13our generation is not out there. Like, I didn't see any Zoomers. And I know you guys care. I can see
19:20the discussions online, but we really need to get out there in person and join with the people who
19:27are actually showing out and organizing and stuff. It might seem a little lost right now, but I'm telling
19:33you guys, we can't stay lost. We have got to get a clue. We got this. We got this. And if we die trying,
19:43well, we didn't show up to die. If we fought, we were fighting to live. Good luck. Godspeed and glory.
