Avon Valley’s incredible pumpkin patch has officially returned with gorgeous fields packed with different kinds of pumpkins,  rides, and seasonal entertainment including roaming characters and fiery performances that delight the crowds throughout the day.  The family and dog friendly pumpkin patch encourages visitors to pick up a wheelbarrow, explore the fields and savour the experience of finding their favourite pumpkins.  From towering orange giants to tiny gourds that fit in the palm of your hand, there’s a pumpkin for every taste and every photo opportunity.   There are also a bunch of  quirky autumn games available like apple cannons, pumpkin paintball and slingshots.  A pop-up pub, The Pumpkin & Firkin, will serve warming drinks, while street food stalls tempt with pizzas, marshmallow toasting and indulgent seasonal treats.

00:06There's wonder here beneath the ground, For Avon Whirling's Pumpkin Patch is magic bound.

00:12Come close, come near, and gather round, For this is where the spirit of the pumpkin can be found.

00:19One night a bolster card across the pumpkin ground, And from lightning's touch, the pumpkins came to life with sound.

00:26The pumpkins broke and came alive, Now they dance and sing and jive.

00:32Lord and Lady Pumpkin gather round, Keeping the pumpkins safe and sound.

00:38Soon when dust falls across the land, The pumpkins strike up their pumpkin band.

00:50Clap your hands and sing along, In the spirit of the pumpkin song.

00:55Clap your hands and strung your feet, Join the spirit of the pumpkin beat.

00:59Here we sing our pumpkin tune, Underneath the stars of the moon.

01:03Pumpkins swing and pumpkins sway, Pumpkins love the night away.

01:07But whilst the pumpkins swayed and spun, The scarecrows plotted to spoil their fun.

01:15Let's snatch the pumpkins, The scarecrows cried, We'll send them flying through the sky.

01:23The scarecrows enlisted the help of the crows, To help them with the mischief that they had proposed.

01:39Beep the seeds and the original, Pluck and sweet, Fowled in one gulf.

01:45The scarecrows ordered, Clothes take wing, Together we'll make mischief sing.

01:50Grab the pumpkins and tangled their vines, The scarecrows purged in sneaky vines.

01:55Chosen to flight beneath moon's clothes, Rotting clicks, The pumpkins wouldn't know.

02:00But Lord and Lady Pumpkins said, Think about your job instead.

02:06You're supposed to protect the pumpkins, And war of harm, not torment the patch, And cause alarm.

02:13The scarecrows laughed and turned away, We know best, we'll have our way.

02:18And so they carried on with their mischievous deeds, Dreaming of pumpkin pulp and seeds.

02:25So Lord and Lady Pumpkin hatched a plan, To scare away the Scarecrow clan, To create a monster in their mind,

02:33A monster you can't really find.

02:36So together, with a knowing glance, They planned their own trick, and here he danced.

02:41Let's tell a tale to turn the tide, A tale to ensure the scarecrows abide,

02:46By the laws of this pumpkin land, The ghouls they don't seem to understand.

02:52Let's stop around to evoke some fear, They'll think a pumpkin monster is near,

02:58And as their footsteps shook the ground, It made the most colossal sound.

03:04Can't you hear the stops and thrones, For it is here that the pumpkin monster roams.

03:10The throes took wing in a flurried fright, And the scarecrowes fled into the darkness of night.

03:16So thank you folk, for stomping left and right, And for giving the scarecrows the ultimate fright.

03:24Those mystique makers won't come back, And now our festival is back on track.
