Festival of Summer is back at Durdham Downs until August 17.

The summer extravaganza combines a mobile theme park with a beach area, complete with sand and a splash pool.

During our visit, we met Gogglebox's Tristan Plummer with his family, who shared he always looks forward to the Bristol event.

CEO Michelle Mattews shares more about Festival of Summer and what to expect.

00:00We are here. Festival of Summer is on the Downs in Bristol and it finishes on Sunday.
00:06So you've got a few days left. Sunday the 17th is our last day open.
00:11Please come on down and show your support and we will give you a great value for money day out this summer.
00:17If you didn't know, Festival of Summer at Thunderworld, the brand is a family business.
00:21So I am CEO and also a mum to two children that are heavily involved in the business.
00:29There's four of us, so myself, my husband and my two children.
00:33And we've got our heart and souls into what we do and it really means a lot to have the support of people from Bristol.
00:39We love the city and, yeah, you know, we look forward to being here.
00:45Well, Anki, tell us a bit about the Festival of Summer and what we can expect.
00:50Well, Festival of Summer is a collaboration of free pool and beach.
00:56So we've sort of brought the seaside into the city.
00:59And lots of fairground rides, roller coasters, lots of food and drink.
01:06And it's somewhere where you can come.
01:08We're bringing communities together and it's a great meeting place this summer.
01:13Anki, tell us, how does Festival of Summer compare to, for example, Thunderworld,
01:18which has been more of a recurring event in Bristol.
01:22So last year we decided that we wanted to keep Thunderworld unique for once a year.
01:30And we thought, what can we do to make it different?
01:32So we added those extra things that I've just said about and we've done an omission price of just £2.
01:38Children under two enter three.
01:40And all the rides are two count.
01:44You know, we understand at the moment that families are sort of, some families are really struggling.
01:50And we thought this way it would enable all families to come and have a day out.
01:55So no matter what you've got, there's little to spend or a lot to spend.
01:59This can suit your budget with the rides priced at just £2 each.
02:03There really has been great positive feedback.
02:06Lots of people have been more than once.
02:08Some families have been, you know, days and days they've just come back, sat at the beach, enjoyed the sunshine.
02:15Obviously we've had good weather so that's helped.
02:17But it's been really, really popular.
