00:07for operators supplying e-bikes in NSW and some of those changes include hefty fines.
00:14Now this NSW legislation will be an Australian first regulation on e-bikes and comes after
00:22a parliamentary inquiry into e-scooters and e-bikes.

00:46create dedicated parking bays for e-bikes in and around towns and also near public transport sites.
00:54They'll also have the power to determine no-go zones and slow zones.
00:59Now if e-bikes aren't parked in dedicated parking bays, operators could be slapped with a $55,000
01:07fine plus an additional $5,000 fine for every day the bike isn't removed.
01:13And it's not just about keeping footpaths and the streets of Sydney tidy, it's also about
01:19keeping riders safe.
01:21So operators will also be responsible for ensuring riders have educated and also have
