00:138th of February 2024. Now I know what you're saying bit late to the party got your VR this

00:18was released years ago and yes I bought it years ago in August 2023 and I absolutely hated it I

00:26played about 20 games and I just couldn't stand it then contractors came along and I loved it then a

00:32lot of people who were playing contractors would tell me that the Tabor players are coming over to

00:36contractors I then tried Tabor again around the beginning of 2025 and nope still rubbish I hated

00:43the backpack physics and the guns felt somewhat sluggish so then I tried again a week ago because

00:50my fellow youtuber buddy ObserveVR live streams it often and invited me to give it a go with him

00:56again and honestly I'm so glad I did I don't know what they have done over the last year but it

01:01feels like a different game I have been completely addicted to it racking up about 35 hours in the

01:07last week which is another reason why I haven't covered any other games about the game so you

01:13are basically going out on runs collecting gear doing missions scavenge survive and exfil unlock

01:19more parts of your base for storage or for things to help you on your runs craft ammo and weapons if

01:24you can find a flare and a flare gun you can call in a plane for a loot drop for some high value loot

01:29but be careful everyone else will also see this and might head that way too there's a lot going on in

01:34this game and it has a steep learning curve but you will get many many hours out of it levels and size

01:40there are five levels in all the island of Tabor missile silo matka underground chudov mall and then

01:47matka maist where you can decide to play day or night every level is really well designed and quite

01:53different from one another which offers great choice and diversity you get 45 minutes to raid

01:58except from chudov mall and missile silo where you only get 30 minutes even with the bigger maps like

02:04island of Tabor and matka maist there are plenty of buildings that you can go in and explore

02:10enemies and bosses there are things I like and things I don't like about the enemies I like that in the

02:16malls enemies don't see you hiding and they will walk straight past you as you hide in the shop I also like

02:21how most of the time they will run for cover but then on the island of Tabor I don't know how

02:26sometimes enemies see you from far away it's like you peek over the top of a hill and there they are

02:31already aiming at you it seems on pve mode that there are three difficulty settings easy medium and

02:37hard I kept it on medium once I got a little better at the game from what I could tell the difficulty

02:43affects how many shots it'll take for the enemy to die I'm not sure if it affects what loot you find

02:48though or if it changes the XP gains and stuff weapons there's a massive amount of weapons here

02:54to keep you entertained for a long time experiment with what suits your style types of guns you can

03:00find are assault rifles bolt action rifles pistols shotguns light machine guns sniper rifles and

03:06submachine guns and then there are knives axes and a sword and then there's grenades you have an

03:11assortment of touches like lasers torch sights magazines you have three types of ammo fmj tracer

03:18and armor piercing to build each type of bullet you will need to find the correct type of powder and

03:24then also the brass leveling up options run around completing quests and tasks you can have up to five

03:31open on each so 10 all together gain coronas and reputation points which will then unlock higher level

03:37weapons and gear and then after each run you will gain xp points how many will depend on how well

03:43you did out there then as you rank up you buy upgrades for your base like open more store rooms

03:48the plant room more plant space another weapon storage room more slots for gpus which mine for

03:53money you can also buy dlc packs I was suggested to buy the nuclear knight edition upgrade which starts

04:00you off from level two after every wipe this is actually really really useful and I love that when you

04:05open up and level up the plant room you can grow your own herbs cough cough then take it to your

04:10medical room once you have opened and leveled it up then you can put those herbs into a machine and

04:15make your own medical syringes also you can make bandages out of toilet roll there are seven stores in

04:21the marketplace where you can visit to buy all the supplies you need the higher level you are the

04:25better gear you can find customization options there are many customization options from your character to

04:33weapons and their skins I also bought the dlc x11 camo weapon skins pack for more choice you can also

04:39paint your helmets and backpacks just stick it on the rack check on the screen which parts you need

04:43to paint with a spray gun and it's that simple mechanics the shooting mechanics are great they're

04:48not perfect but they are good sometimes when I'm peering around a tree or a corner my gun gets pushed

04:54away or stuck on something invisible the backpack still takes some getting used to but if I'm completely

04:59honest I think I've just been spoilt over the mechanics of the contractor's backpack as things

05:04kind of sort themselves out and click into place but then theirs isn't perfect either as there is a

05:09glitch that lets you pack as much stuff into it as you want to and no I don't use it I've had people

05:13offer to teach me how to do it and I've just said no I'm not interested with this game you've got to

05:18move the object around and make sure it's touching nothing in that backpack it's a pain in the ass at first

05:23but once you get used to it it's fine so I didn't discover until 10 days after playing this that

05:28might be haptic suit works with it also which is great because I bought that suit over a year ago

05:33just so I could play contractor's exfil but was horrified when I realised they don't support haptic

05:38vests so with the haptics you are going to feel putting the backpack on and off shooting your gun

05:43getting shot drinking and eating and falling it really does bring the playing to a next level

05:48controls the controls are easy to pick up if you are used to playing shooter type games and even if

05:54you are not it won't take long to pick up the controls moving grabbing shooting climbing kneeling

05:59and jumping online playability so you can either play in a team of up to three in pvp mode or you can

06:06play in a team of up to three in pve mode I'm personally very happy to have the pve mode as it allowed

06:12me to learn the ropes of the game so next time there's a wipe I'll be more confident in going straight

06:17out against other players I also like it because I can go at my own pace without having to worry

06:22about running into someone who's fully kitted up and giving me no chance in hell to win that

06:27encounter now if you want to play with your friends in pve you have to buy the dlc team tactics I'm not

06:33a fan of this as I think this should be free with the game they already have many dlcs to purchase but

06:39I did buy it just so I could play with a mate who I've spent 200 plus hours playing in contractors

06:43over the last 18 months with and I could help him learn how to play as he also has the game for a long time

06:49but never played it because he didn't like it but I will warn you that when you go up against other players

06:53death seems to be pretty quick especially in the beginning stages game menus menus are all easy to find and

07:00understand offering game mode calibration and interaction settings object handling movement advanced input settings

07:07then audio settings and controls my thoughts I do like that you've got to put the hours into this game

07:13if you want to get better gear you ain't getting off easy but at the same time you can also find higher

07:19level gear out there doing runs so do check everything unlike contractors you don't have a device that you

07:24can take with you so you can check what item is what and what it's worth so you've got to research it down

07:30in the market if you can or chuck it in your machine where you sell stuff so you can check what it is but then select

07:36to return it rather than sell it if you wish to keep it I do agree with people that the pve version

07:40should not have a wipe it doesn't need resetting so everyone's the same level again I enjoyed the pve

07:47because I was able to go at my own pace and learn the ropes rather than when I went out in the pvp

07:52I would end up being shot within minutes from people I didn't even see most of the time which is

07:57very frustrating for a beginner in any game they also have many types of dlcs which can help to make your

08:03game easier and look better I love playing contractors exfil and I can honestly say I love

08:09playing ghosts of tabor also now both are the same type game with differences but tabor has certainly

08:14got a lot better in the last year it appears they are going in the right direction now and I look
