Sunderland film maker Corey Muizelaar is gong to be delivering medical supplies to the Ukraine frontline and will be documenting his journey.

00:00Okay then, Corey, I know you're going to be hanging off on a mission to Ukraine in the next couple of weeks,

00:05or just tell me what you're going to be doing when you're out there.

00:07So we're delivering aid supplies that have been donated all around the UK to the front lines of Ukraine,

00:13and while we're going, we're documenting our journey and meeting loads of people throughout our trip there

00:18to kind of highlight the work that volunteers do and to showcase what's still happening on the ground.

00:23And what are some of the people you're going to be meeting?

00:24So we're visiting fighter pilots, dog shelters and the soldiers on the front line,

00:30which is a bit of a scary thought to be going all that way,

00:34but I think it's very much important work that I'm glad we're doing.

00:39And why do you feel it's so important to go out and document this?

00:42I feel like the war in Ukraine has become stagnant in the news,

00:46and people aren't as aware, or it's kind of came to the back of people's heads

00:52with everything else going on in the world, as the news cycles kind of do.

00:57But these people are still suffering every day and have to have really awful times,

01:02so we can hope that we can ignite a bit of a fire and get some more support behind Ukraine.

01:07And what sort of risk are you going to be at when you're out there?

01:10I mean, I could die.

01:14We've taken as many measures as we can to not,

01:16but there is a big risk, especially being part of the press out there of that.

01:23So it is a bit scary, but I think my mum's more worried than I am.

01:27You mentioned before about the risk of drone attacks and that sort of thing in that area, yeah?

01:30Yeah, so the drone strikes are pretty common towards most of the country,

01:35which is scary.

01:37There's bomb shelters and there's different provisions to keep safe.

01:40And when we go towards the front lines, obviously, we will be in a war zone.

01:46And speaking of which, you've got a bulletproof vest, which you've got to take along, is that right?

01:50It's very heavy, but it should stop most things.

01:53I've got my helmet as well, which I don't have with me.

01:56So I'm trying my best to keep it as safe as possible while going to a war zone.

02:00And once this documentary is made, will there be a chance for us to see it?

02:03Yeah, we're in talks with different platforms in terms of distribution.

02:09And when that's all being confirmed, we'll definitely share it with you guys

02:13and get some promotion done for the film.
