00:00In the game against Karpov, for some reasons I decided against sacrificing the queen and went back to E7.
00:09Bad move and Karpov played a very good game. He won it.
00:12It didn't help him to save the match because I was already two points ahead and withdrew the final game, game 24.
00:19I won the match, our last match, the fifth one.
00:23And I kept coming back.
00:24So I was thinking, okay, so what about this queen sacrifice?
00:30Because what I didn't like is just, you know, that when you take this pawn, the knight has to go back.
00:35And it's not the best location.
00:37And then suddenly I realized, it's always nice to take a pawn, but we already have a broken material balance.
00:44Black has two bishop and a pawn for the queen.
00:48One extra pawn maybe doesn't make much of a difference.
00:50What about playing the knight c2?
00:53That's a move I strongly recommend.
00:55That's a novelty that, you know, could be a game changer.
01:01White moves rook somewhere on the farm.
01:04And then you go back.
01:06Now knight is on d4, king d1, knight d7, knight e2.
01:11And here you can even play something like a6.
01:15Preventing white from exchanging and going on b5.
01:18Because when white takes here, you take, knight goes here, then you can go knight e5.
01:23And while you're still down, it's a queen versus two bishops.
01:28But look, the king is there and position is still closed.
01:31And the moment your bishops will start operating, things can change quite dramatically.
01:37Maybe not knight e5, you can maybe play c5 immediately.
01:40So that's another interesting move.
01:42So, for instance, the game could end up with, for instance, bishop e7, queen e7, then you can force a draw, for instance.
01:50That's a perpetual attack on the queen.
01:53I would say that knight c2, it's quite a typical Gary Kasparov move.
