00:51We experience God's forgiveness, but now I want to ask you something, who is Jesus for you?
01:03Who? Have you ever really asked yourself the question, Who is Christ to me? What do I really think about Him? Who is He? It is very important to believe in Him in a way that is according to Scripture.
01:20Look at what the Scripture tells us in Matthew chapter 16, starting from verse 13, we are going to read, until verse 18, it says,
01:31Well, when Jesus came to the region of Caesar Philippi, he asked his disciple, saying, Who do men say that the Son of men is? And they said, One John the Baptist, another Elijah, and another Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.
01:49He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."
02:00Then Jesus answered him, Woe to you are Simon son of Jonah, for flesh and blood did not bring you to him, but my Father who is in heaven.
02:11And I say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not stand against it.
02:21So, brothers, Christ would ask us, Who is He to us? Who does the world say? The world says He is a teacher, He is a good person, a prophet,
02:32But we say that Christ is the Son of God, the Messiah. That is what Peter says here in 16, answering Simon Peter, I say, you are the Christ, the Son of the living God.
02:45You are the Christ, brother, Christ means the anointed one, the Messiah, the son of the living God, that is the essence of Him, He is God.
02:58He is the Son of God, He is God by nature. So the anointed one, Christ, came down from heaven as sent, as anointed, as Messiah to die for our sins.
03:09And he who died for our sins is the Son of the living God, the image of the invisible God. Therefore, brothers, we must believe well, knowing what we believe.
03:19Christ is God. In essence, in nature. You say, upon that rock I will build my church. Upon that faith that believes I am the anointed one, the Messiah, the Son of God,
03:35On that rock I will build my church. And we are the church. And we are here from that evening.
03:41And we come here because we have faith in Christ. In Christ Jesus who died for our sins.
03:45And we know that Christ is not just a teacher. He is not just a prophet. That Christ is the Son of God.
03:54And that Christ is with us. And that Christ has the power to help us.
03:58And that Christ has the power to lead the church. And that no one can confront the church and defeat the church.
04:07Because we are more convincing within our faith in Christ Jesus.
04:10So, it is very important to believe in Jesus in a biblical way.
04:15Because He is the Son of God. And He has the power, brothers, He has the power to heal us.
04:21He has the power to sanctify us. He has the power to lift us up. He has the power to give us life.
04:26He is God. That's why he can help us. If he were just a prophet, he wouldn't have that power.
04:33But He has the power to lead His church. And He says, the Scripture tells us.
04:39He says that He will be with us until the end of time.
04:43So, trust in the Lord as the Messiah. As the Christ. As the Son of the living God.
04:49In the Almighty God. He who can do everything.
04:52That is our Lord. King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
04:57He has all authority. All power in heaven and on earth.
05:01And therefore, He says, go and make disciples.
05:04He has all authority and all power, brothers.
05:07No one can defeat Jesus. Nothing.
05:11Lord, we thank you for that afternoon, Lord.
05:13Help me, Lord, to believe in You, Lord, as the anointed one, the Messiah, the Son of the living God.
05:20He who can forgive sins. He who has the power to heal eyes and diseases.
05:26He who raises the fallen. He who is merciful and forgiving.
05:31He who is harmful. He who is just and perfect, lamb and lion.
05:36Glory to your holy name, Lord.
05:38Help me to believe and trust in You, as Your Word says.
