00:07Every time there is a gathering and I ask how many of you lied to your folks to be here,
00:10and there are a few hands, the honest ones that is.
00:13And it takes no guts to utter that total lie.
00:16But I said it will take more than guts, a spine really,
00:19to stop bowing down in front of those who don't deserve it.
00:22That's why truth without apology.
00:24Because you will be asked to apologize.
00:25And never, never feel guilty or small for being with the truth.
00:30Never.
00:30How come you are so disrespectful?
00:32Come on, say sorry.
00:34And that's when you have to wave the book and say no apologies.
00:38Open your eyes.
00:39See the kind of world we live in.
00:43In the rule books of the courts, there are offenses of a thousand kinds.
00:48Right?
00:48But when it comes to life, there is just one offense.
00:51Did you live by the truth or did you betray it?
00:55Namaste, Acharya.
01:01First of all, very thank you for sharing your peace of heart with us through the new book.
01:07I was fortunate enough to attend the book launch in person.
01:12And ever since I got the opportunity to read the book,
01:15the topic, the title of the book is something which has been very profound,
01:20which is very profound and hence also thought provoking.
01:25So there is a question that is hovering in my mind when I read,
01:29first went to the title,
01:31that truth without apology.
01:33So why should one be first of all apologetic about the falseness?
01:41No, we are not apologetic usually about the false.
01:44We are apologetic about the truth.
01:45We are not apologetic about the truth.
01:46Right?
01:47We are not apologetic about the truth.
01:48We are not apologetic about the truth.
01:50This is my belief in the truth.
01:51The truth is my belief in my belief in the truth.
01:52with some trick, tactic.
02:02It is the truth that really asshames us.
02:10Just consider the number of participants who would be watching this session online.
02:22In the most apologetic way, hiding beneath a quilt or under the bed or in the lavatory,
02:39occasionally using the flesh to hide the sounds, yes, that's what.
02:54You watch all kinds of crap on TV.
02:56Do you ever have to hide it?
02:59You call that family stuff, right?
03:03But when you watch these sessions, see how ashamed you are.
03:08Otherwise, the name of the book is simply Truth.
03:15Without apology is to just clarify the context that is the reader.
03:25Yes, we are ashamed, are we not?
03:35Every time there is a gathering and I ask, how many of you lied to your folks to be here?
03:40And there are a few hands.
03:42The honest ones that is.
03:45The others raise it like this or inside their pockets, they raise their hands.
03:50They say, see, we were not dishonest, we did raise our hands.
04:04Forget about attending a session.
04:05There are those who are making a career in the foundation without ever having told their
04:12families that they are here.
04:17That's how apologetic we are.
04:23In one case, the family members still believe that the daughter is working in some saloon here.
04:32And they are pretty enthralled about the whole thing.
04:34They say, you know, she is making a real career.
04:42You are just puzzled, how come your own skin has gone so bad?
05:00Nothing asshames you more than the truth.
05:02Have you not seen that?
05:04What's the puzzle?
05:07The sadness we all carry like medals on our chests.
05:14It is the deep truth that we have to hide.
05:22Like Kunti, the Great God, Sun, whatever he symbolises, he is still the Sun.
05:37But it was love, not a socially sanctioned contract. It was just love.
05:47So, in all guilt and shame, she just threw the baby away.
06:00Was Gandhari ashamed of Duryodhana?
06:06Even if it's a Duryodhana, you will not be ashamed. In fact, just before the final battle, it is said that she blessed him with a specially armoured body.
06:21Gandhari is not ashamed, but Kunti is ashamed of Kalna.
06:27We are not ashamed when we give off our bodies to someone we don't love.
06:35While that should be a matter of deep, deep shame.
06:40How did you allow a de facto stranger to touch you?
06:45That's not what asshames us. Most of our population was born that way.
06:53Two strangers meeting and mating.
06:59But love is a thing of shame. Is it not?
07:06Does it take guts to parrot the repeated and well-rehearsed lies? Please tell me.
07:16Please tell me.
07:23But it will require more than guts.
07:26A spine actually.
07:29To utter the truth.
07:31What does Namaste mean?
07:34I bow to you.
07:39It takes guts to say Namaste.
07:42To the wild idiots that you meet on the street.
07:46Or those who visit your home.
07:49Does it take guts?
07:50Guts.
07:51And you tell them.
07:52I bow down.
07:53I surrender.
07:54That's what Namaste means.
07:59And it takes no guts.
08:02To utter that total lie.
08:07But I said it will take more than guts.
08:09A spine really.
08:13To stop bowing down.
08:16In front of those who don't deserve it.
08:20That's why truth without apology.
08:23Because you will be asked to apologize.
08:26How come you are so disrespectful?
08:29Come on.
08:30Say sorry.
08:32And that's when you have to waive the book and say no apologies.
08:38No apologies.
08:42Go to a corporate HR meeting.
08:59And listen to the employees narrating their experiences and testimonials.
09:11What does the company do?
09:12It manufactures rubber pipes.
09:14And the fellow says, I found the purpose of my life here.
09:20Think of the one who will stand up and say, I don't want to speak.
09:25But if you push me to, the fact is I am here for the paycheck.
09:31Right?
09:32And tomorrow I was about to put in my papers.
09:35I have a better offer.
09:37Better only in the sense of more money.
09:41That's all.
09:42That's the truth.
09:45I am a lifeless thing.
09:52I am a mere resource to be hired.
09:55I am a mercenary.
09:57I am a nut.
09:58Pun intended.
09:59You can use me to bolt anything.
10:04You manufacture rubber.
10:05You manufacture rubber.
10:06You can use me.
10:07Next I am going to someone who manufactures something else.
10:09That's the truth.
10:10Why are you unnecessarily projecting meaning where there is nothing?
10:11No.
10:12No.
10:13No.
10:14No.
10:15No.
10:16No.
10:17No.
10:18No.
10:19No.
10:20No.
10:21No.
10:22No.
10:23No.
10:24No.
10:26No.
10:27No.
10:28No.
10:29No.
10:30No.
10:31No.
10:32No.
10:33No.
10:34No.
10:35No.
10:36No.
10:37No.
10:38No.
10:39No.
10:40No.
10:41No.
10:42No.
10:43No.
10:44No.
10:45No.
10:46No.
10:47No.
10:48No.
10:49No.
10:50No.
10:51No.
10:52No.
10:53No.
10:54No.
10:55No.
10:56No.
10:57No.
10:58No.
10:59No.
11:00No.
11:01No.
11:02No.
11:03No.
11:04No.
11:05No.
11:06But do you find it uttered? Do you?
11:14In fact, if someone manages to whisper even a fraction of what I just said,
11:20he would be necessarily asked to apologize.
11:27Jain Sahib and Sharma Ji both are very devotedly non-violent.
11:37One a Jain, the other a Brahmin.
11:41Both are respectable government servants. Both worked in the fisheries department all their life.
11:49Sharma Ji even got additional in charge of another department. Which department?
11:57Animal husbandry and Poultry.
12:03Would they be apologetic, you think, the day of their retirement?
12:09You think they will be apologetic? But you will have to apologize.
12:13If you spit the bare truth in their face.
12:16Both of you have been more violent than the mere butcher we see on the streets.
12:26But you are retiring as a respectable government servant who earned four promotions in his career.
12:37Open your eyes. See the kind of world we live in. The world we have inherited.
12:50And ask yourself, do you want to live by it?
12:57Or do you want to create a new reality based in truth of your own?
13:09You want to just play by the rules?
13:11Or do you want to play a new game in a new arena?
13:16Or do you want to play a new game in a new arena?
13:20And never never feel guilty or small for being with the truth never.
13:35That's that's the instrument they use
13:37Guilt is something very very personal.
13:42Personal in the sense of being intimate.
13:44Let nobody induce guilt in you.
13:52If there ever is one thing you should justifiably feel guilty of,
14:00it is your deviation from the truth.
14:07Nothing else deserves your guilt.
14:13Be brazenly immodest.
14:18Let them come to you.
14:22Almost begging, please, please show a little remorse.
14:27Please display a little shame.
14:30Laugh in their face.
14:32This is my shame. Ha ha ha.
14:35No, I am not guilty. No, I am not sorry.
14:38No, I am rather proud of who I am and what I do.
14:43Never allow them to feel, to make you feel guilty.
14:52Never. Guilt, I repeat, is something very intimate.
14:58And there is only one thing you ought to punish yourself for.
15:06And the punishment is internal reform, not anything else.
15:12If you find you have betrayed the truth, then yes, you are guilty.
15:19And existentially, apart from that, there is no other offence.
15:32In the rule books of the courts, there are offences of a thousand kinds. Right?
15:38But when it comes to life, there is just one offence.
15:48Did you live by the truth or did you betray it?
15:53And no court of the world can absolve you, exonerate you, if you have betrayed the truth.
16:10They may say, oh, you are respectfully acquitted.
16:15As they say, baizzat bari kiya jata hai.
16:19They may say, yes, yes.
16:21Guilt not established. Doesn't matter.
16:24You have already been punished.
16:31And let the courts of the world announce you guilty and convict you to prisons or gallows.
16:44You should never be guilty in front of the truth.
16:50Remember that chap called Bhagat Singh and his associates. Remember them.
16:56The courts declared they were guilty. They were still joyful.
17:07Because they were absolutely not guilty in front of life.
17:20So, live rightly and then don't apologize. That's it.
17:34Such a shame if I have to be ashamed of who I really am.
17:41Why? How? For what? No, no, no, sir, I am not ashamed.
17:49So, there is a small follow-up.
17:55While every chapter feels like an arrow raising with fire.
18:00The one that really summarizes very aptly is the third chapter.
18:06To know yourself, watch yourself and the list of questions that you have mentioned.
18:11The one that really touched was, see what you avoid and see what you are afraid to lose.
18:19I think this summarizes very aptly the whole, not only the title, but also the R.S. title.
18:28So, yeah.
18:29I just wanted to stay there. Thank you, sir.
18:34At the end of each of these deals, you must ask yourself,
18:41If I had to sell my truth, what did I save?
18:51No? You always save something for something.
18:58Right? If you had to sell away the truth, what did you save?
19:06And who did you save it for?
19:16Stop being respectful.
19:19There is no need to bury yourself beneath humility and modesty.
19:33Humility comes with surrender to the truth.
19:38Surrendering to the society is not humility.
19:44It is subjugation.
19:46There is a difference between surrendering spiritually and being subjugated socially.
20:03And when it comes to the truth, don't just whisper, go out and shout.
20:33Hi. Hi, everyone. So, I'm Madhavan. I'm from U.S. I live in Charlotte.
20:45So, I've been listening to Acharya Ji from probably last two years.
20:50Intensely on YouTube. I started two, two and a half years ago.
20:53I joined Gita sessions one year ago.
20:57So, I went through an intense, you know, seeking phase, like from the last three years, I would say.
21:03Looking into different directions.
21:05Couldn't find like what I really wanted.
21:07But I know that there was, Acharya Ji just said,
21:10So, I was seeking multiple things.
21:13So, some things I tried out, experimented.
21:15But finally, what I understood is that all the other spiritual practices,
21:19which we generally talk about, you know, like generally that is framed about.
21:22They are very much misinterpreted, as Acharya Ji says.
21:25Acharya Ji's teachings have really helped us.
21:28And to overcome and not fall in the trap, right?
21:34So, I started reading these books too and other videos.
21:38So, this is where books really help guys.
21:41I mean, Acharya Ji has books on topics like ego, maya, right?
21:47And then when we go through these books, right?
21:49It gives a better knowledge about these things.
21:53And actually, we don't fall into, you know, like some delusional traps or tricks
21:58when people take up big words and, you know, make discussions on that.
