00:00It gives you a lot of self-confidence.
00:02It makes you feel like if you put your heart and you put your mind into doing something, you can accomplish anything.
00:11Anyone who's in competition would be really lucky to have a twin, just because we push each other to be better.
00:19And sometimes, because we're so similar and our body moves so similar,
00:25we know what I need to do just by watching what she does.
00:29If she can do a trick better than I can, all I have to do is look at her doing it,
00:33and I can try to figure out what is it that my body's not doing that her body is.
00:37They are also a notch above the rest of the field.
00:40They just dance across the water, making it look very easy.
00:43Britt has had more highs and lows in her trick skiing career than Tawn.
00:47And sometimes when she gets in trouble, you'll see her muscle it a little bit more.
00:50But right now, steady and erect, great posture over the ski, tremendous balance.
00:55Remember, there's no fin on this ski.
00:57And a little bit of pressure, but it was our choice to have that pressure.
01:01My parents always said to us, you know, if you want to stop, we want you to stop.
01:05It's all up to you, but if you're going to do it, we want you to go all the way for it.
01:09Don't do something halfway. Go all the way.
01:12And so that's what we tried to do.
01:14Turn really big and yellow. Solid yellow.
01:17Look at him feeling with his antlers.
01:19When he starts to walk, he'll stick them down. Watch.
01:21See if he can get him to move.
01:22Go on.
01:23We first got involved in the environment because there's a place near our house.
01:28It's an environmental center where we teach children.
01:32And it gave us the opportunity to put our major into use, which was elementary education,
01:39and also be outside and be involved in the environment, which we love to do,
01:44and also allowed us to have tea time.
01:46I think that environment is going to be a really important part of education now.
01:52You see it coming into the schools a lot.
01:54You see a sensitivity towards it with teachers,
01:57and hopefully it'll look, one, good on a resume,
02:00and two, since we're so interested in it,
02:02maybe we'll be able to do something within the school that we teach at.
02:04Their interests extend beyond water skiing and the environment.
02:09They list their hobbies as snow skiing, cooking, photography.
02:14They are best friends, and they are determined to shed more light on this unique sport.
02:20Any exposure that trick skiing gets is exciting
02:23because it's got to be out there for people to take a look at.
02:26In order for them to love it as much as we love it, they have to be exposed to it.
02:31And if they would just take the time and the energy to find the kind of gratification we find in it,
02:37I think that people would really love it, and they'd probably only want to see trick skiing.
02:43And how do you high-five when you're twins and two of the best trickers in the world?
02:49With your feet, naturally.
