00:00There is a fun, yet ugly, potentially game
00:05brewing in Lampeau Field.
00:09Packers, Bengals, this one's 14 and a half.
00:11Some flat 14s out there in the market.
00:12The big story is that Joe Flacco,
00:15there he is, look at him go.
00:17Joe Flacco is going to get the football.
00:19They trade for him to replace Jake Browning.
00:23And this is a really complicated one for me.
00:27Is it?
00:28Well, yeah.
00:28I'll tell you, so let's just start with the decision
00:30to trade for Flacco first, okay?
00:32You know me, Cincinnati Futures.
00:35Jake Browning, in the game he won,
00:37threw three picks against the Jags.
00:38And I went, you cannot let Jake Browning
00:40be your quarterback for 10 weeks.
00:42And we had to hear, oh, they trust him.
00:44He knows the system.
00:46Don't worry about it.
00:47He's one of the better backup quarterbacks in football.
00:50And then he was so bad against the Lions
00:52before he had some garbage time.
00:55Jamar Chase make me look good plays, right?
00:57That they knew they needed to make a change.
01:00I'm a little frustrated, though, because I don't think Flacco
01:05is the best they could do in Cincinnati.
01:08He is immobile.
01:10The offensive line for Cincy still looks to be a problem.
01:13And reportedly, they didn't even call the Giants,
01:17who have multiple quarterbacks, I would prefer,
01:21over Joe Flacco for this team.
01:24What do you make of the decision for Flacco to take over now
01:28for Jake Browning for the foreseeable future?
01:30I like the decision because even though you might say
01:33Browning could move the football, he's lost games.
01:36They lost three games by an average margin of defeat, Kev,
01:39of 25.3 points per game.
01:41So, again, that alone warrants a change.
01:45The guy's not getting it done.
01:46Even if he put up numbers in his last stint in garbage time
01:50against the Lions, you need to change the locker room
01:53to some capacity.
01:54This team started 2-0.
01:55They've lost three straight.
01:57They still potentially have a wild card eye
01:59as being one of the dark horses.
02:01What quarterback has the best shot to potentially get us there?
02:05And, again, Flacco comes with a lot of hype.
02:09You know, Super Bowl champion.
02:11He's a veteran.
02:12You can make the argument that it's Russell Wilson as well,
02:15but I think Flacco's more just, I don't know.
02:20I just feel like Flacco's that guy in the locker room
02:23that maybe is a little bit better for a younger team
02:26than potentially maybe Russ is, and that's maybe why they didn't.
02:30I think Jameis would have been the best option,
02:33if you're asking me, for the Cincinnati Bengals.
02:36But, again, turnovers do play a key part.
02:38But if you look at the two games that Flacco played
02:40against Green Bay and Detroit, the last two games,
02:43they didn't throw a touchdown.
02:45You know, he completed 47% and 58%,
02:48and this offensive line, to your point,
02:50has allowed 15 sacks on the year.
02:53So he ain't going anywhere.
02:55You've got to have a guy with a little bit of pocket presence.
02:58So I'm curious to see how it plays out against Green Bay today.
03:02So the worry, again, you know, this Cincinnati offense is right now
03:06one of the worst in football, right?
03:09And the numbers full season are bad because Barrow, as usual,
03:12in week one, awful.
03:14I mean, right?
03:15And then it's just been, you know, pretty much Jake Browning
03:18from there on out.
03:20For Flacco, Joe, again, the reason it's a little disheartening is
03:24I'm not positive he's better than Jake Browning.
03:27I think he is, right?
03:29His numbers in Cleveland don't look good,
03:30but, again, the Cleveland offensive line is also atrocious,
03:33and their weapons are just not – it's not Chase Higgins, Chase Brown.
03:37I mean, even – heck, Yosevash would be getting some run out there
03:41for the Browns.
03:42So –
03:42What's his number?
03:43No, but – so I just, like, you say, Jameis.
03:47I think Russ was the answer.
03:49I just can't believe they didn't, like, make the call.
03:53Like, it's just they're so poorly ran.
03:55Do you think they packed it in?
03:58No.
03:58So – clearly not, because you don't make this phone call.
04:01No, I know that, but I think it was brought up to, like,
04:04when they started 2-0 and they lost Burrow.
04:08Yeah.
04:08I just think emotionally they were checked out,
04:11and we'll see how much Browning could get us to a certain level.
04:14But then they asked Zach Taylor, you know,
04:16would you be open to potentially getting a free agent in there?
04:19And all of a sudden he was like, yeah, I guess so.
04:22And then they got smashed.
04:24And then it's like, okay, Joe Flacco's on the team.
04:27So that's my point is, like, was Taylor checked out maybe?
04:32Like, my – like, was he actively going to management?
04:36We need a quarterback.
04:38We need this guy.
04:38We need that guy.
04:39We need that guy.
