00:00I actually think that the Green Bay Packer faithful should be pretty happy
00:05because they basically had a Super Bowl parade
00:09because they were so good through two weeks.
00:10Why does it matter that they lost to the Cleveland Browns?
00:13We have ourselves, Don, one of those Otani, Vladdy Jr. elements,
00:17looks like, in the NFC market, too, where Eagles go to 3-0.
00:21They never lose football games.
00:23Packers lose to the Browns.
00:24Packers number to win the NFC gets a little bit shorter.
00:27There's so much to dive into, but it's an upset over a touchdown favorite
00:33in most places for the Green Bay Packers, up 10-0 in a game
00:38with basically under four minutes to go.
00:42They lose 13-10.
00:45What was your biggest takeaway from the Browns' upset?
00:47I can't believe it.
00:49I thought it was one of those games where the Packers' defense would dominate.
00:52And if you would have told me, Kevin, we were breaking down this on the show,
00:54well, how about this?
00:56Cleveland's going to score 13 points.
00:58Boom!
00:58Absolutely nailed it.
01:00Easiest pick we had all day.
01:01What was that score?
01:0127-13?
01:02No!
01:03It was 13-10.
01:04Now, the one thing we did get right, at least I got right yesterday,
01:06was they're going to have a big-time pass rush.
01:09Now, I'm not going to take the guy that's minus 200 to Micah Parsons.
01:11I'm going to go with Sean Gary.
01:12The only problem is, Kevin, it's going to take him to get two sacks,
01:14which is at least what he got yesterday, as opposed to the one sack.
01:17But when I look at the Packers, I know their defense is going to be dominating,
01:20but I just expected them to roll in.
01:22And Cleveland does have a very good defense.
01:24Do just enough to win this football game.
01:25And Kevin, through three quarters, they were doing just enough to win this football game
01:29and cover this football game for the NFL, man.
01:32Squirrely things happen.
01:34Sometimes in the fourth quarter, a sure-fire victory turns into a loss.
01:37You have a chance to kick a field goal to win,
01:38and it turns into a long field goal for Cleveland and a chance to win.
01:42Cleveland's 1-2 on the Cs.
01:43I have no expectations for them, but you're right.
01:46You look at the Packers.
01:46The Packers players were talking about last week.
01:49Hey, you know what?
01:50We might be able to run the table and go undefeated.
01:52Boom.
01:53Cleveland beats you.
01:54How's that feel right now?
01:55Brings him a little bit back down to earth.
01:56I love that defense.
01:57That's not going to change, Kevin.
01:59But I know you look at Jordan Love and say,
02:01I don't care if maybe your tight end was a little banged up.
02:05I don't care that you lost Jaden Grimm.
02:07How am I supposed to go anywhere without Jaden at wide receiver?
02:09You have a plethora of really good players on offense.
02:12And I don't care how good that Cleveland defense is.
02:1510 points is ridiculous for the Packers in that spot.
02:18So, there are two sides to this, but the Packers losing is the story.
02:23Teams lose games, okay?
02:25Everyone is going to lose.
02:26At some point, Buffalo will lose.
02:28At some point, Philadelphia will lose.
02:30At some point, Daniel Jones and the Colts will lose.
02:33But how you lose can tell a story.
02:36And as somebody who Donnie was not going to put the Packers in the playoffs
02:39until the Parsons trade, that shifted it enough I had to put them in.
02:43I think it's on display why.
02:45I don't trust their play calling, and I don't trust their quarterback.
02:49I think they are sometimes –
02:52Josh Jacobs, okay?
02:55I get it, Mr. Touchdown, how the streak snapped.
02:57We're at 3.1 yards per rush.
02:59Hasn't had a game of four yards per rush yet.
03:01That's awful.
03:02He was under two yards a carry against Cleveland.
03:06That's awful.
03:07Jordan Love and his turnovers are backbreakers.
03:10And that's not something that's going to go away.
03:12It is almost, Donnie, it feels a guarantee that the Packers season will end
03:18with Jordan Love throwing a pivotal interception in the game.
03:23I remember it last year vividly.
03:25People are like, don't bring the Eagles into this.
03:27You have to.
03:28They're the two NFC favorites.
03:30The Eagles beat the Packers last year in the wild card round.
03:34Jordan Love threw three interceptions,
03:37and the talk was about how bad the Eagles quarterback was in the game.
03:43What world are we in here?
03:45Again, Jordan Love, Donnie, sitting at a top five MVP.
03:50Where?
03:51Where?
03:52Through what lens are we watching?
03:55I'm sorry.
03:56It is – these are things that I am not going to just push aside
04:01because they are the shiny new toy in the NFC.
04:04And you saw – like, if you can take a look at yesterday, Kevin,
04:08between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers, right?
04:10Here's the tale of two quarterbacks there.
04:12And some will say, oh, similar in stature, similar in talent levels.
04:15Not the case, though.
04:16Not similar in what's going on in their brain at this point.
04:18You saw the Philadelphia Eagles couldn't run the football.
04:20So, you know what they did?
04:20They goes, you know what?
04:21Good defense.
04:22Let me turn it out.
04:22Hey, Jalen, we know you can do this.
04:24Go ahead and throw a couple of touchdowns in the second half.
04:25Boom, he did that.
04:26Now, why don't we have that same look at Love where we go,
04:29what did you want them to do, Kevin?
04:30They didn't have a running game.
04:32One of their wide receivers was out.
04:34One of their tight ends got banged up in practice this week.
04:37It's almost like we cover for things like that.
04:39And, again, we know Cleveland has a great defense.
04:41But your defense, the Green Bay Packers defense,
04:43was phenomenal in that football game.
04:45That should be a double-digit victory going away
04:48for the Green Bay Packers.
04:49But they had nothing on offense, Kevin.
04:51Absolutely nothing.
