Felina, Diabulus, and Alquimia, 3 undead mistresses of the night inhabit an abandoned 9th century church sitting atop a desolate plateau that overlooks the steppe of Anatolia, where the infamous Silk Road winds its way from the Orient to Europe. They have inhabited this long-forgotten ruin for four-hundred years feeding on the blood of men who traverse the Road in pursuit of riches and worldly pleasures. In their bat form, they hover in the bell tower watching as the men wearily make their way back to families they have left behind for months and years. The sun has set; it is twilight.
