00:00Denmark is taking aim at social media, and it could mean a total ban for kids under 15.
00:06Denmark's prime minister says her government will propose new rules blocking kids under 15
00:11from using social platforms unless parents give the green light starting at 13.
00:16She says social media is stealing our children's childhood, blaming it for rising anxiety,
00:21depression, and attention problems. She pointed to one striking stat.
00:2560 percent of Danish boys aged 11 to 19 don't see a single friend in person during the week,
00:32and she asked if that number would be so high without smartphones.
00:35The plan follows Denmark's move to ban phones in primary schools,
00:39and it's part of a growing global push to protect kids online.
00:43Norway is weighing a similar under-15 ban, and Australia already passed one last year
00:47for anyone under 16, with hefty fines for tech companies that don't comply.
