00:00I love you.
02:34I can't believe we're finally here.
02:36This park is gorgeous.
02:38I wonder why Ken's aunt said she needed our help.
02:42Right?
02:44We were telling you everything when we got here.
02:46So now I'm super curious.
02:48Whoa.
02:50This is amazing.
02:52I can practically smell the documentary potential from here.
02:56You sure that's not just the stable?
02:58Very funny.
03:02But speaking of stables, Lady Carson said that's where we should meet her.
03:06Let's head there now and get this adventure started.
03:14Top secret mission aside, what are you girls most looking forward to doing during this trip?
03:24I'm so excited to go horseback riding with Lady Carson.
03:28She's an equestrian icon.
03:30She certainly is.
03:32I'm looking forward to finally meeting her in person.
03:36What are you looking forward to, Barbie?
03:38I'm super excited to see all of the wildlife, especially the wild horses.
03:44What about you, Mr. Roberts?
03:46Well, you know me.
03:48I'm a documentarian through and through.
03:50I'm excited to learn everything there is to know about the park,
03:54and then use photos and footage to tell its story.
03:58Now I just have to find the right lens, both literally and figuratively.
04:03Where did I put all of my lenses?
04:05When you find them, let us know if you need help.
04:08Yeah, as long as we generally stay focused.
04:11I'm sure Lady Carson won't mind if you take a couple of detours sometimes.
04:15Uh, I want to take all of the detours.
04:18There's so much to see and we literally just got here.
04:21I want to see everything.
04:23Me too, so don't you worry.
04:25Between the two of us, I know we're going to see it all.
04:41This is it!
04:42Canterbury Trail Stable!
04:43Wow!
04:44Look at all of those beautiful horses!
04:45And it looks like we got here just in time!
04:46I think someone's headed over to see you!
04:48Girls!
04:49You're here!
04:50Oh, and you must be George!
04:51It's wonderful to finally make your acquaintance face to face!
04:52The two of us have much to discuss, but more on that later.
04:53I'm so glad that all of you could make it to the park.
04:54It means the world that you're here to help out.
04:55And it looks like we got here just in time.
04:56I think someone's headed over to see you!
04:57Girls!
04:58You're here!
04:59Oh, and you must be George!
05:00It's wonderful to finally make your acquaintance face to face.
05:01The two of us have much to discuss, but more on that later.
05:02I'm so glad that all of you could make it to the park.
05:04It means the world that you're here to help out.
05:05I know I promised to explain everything once you arrived.
05:06However, if you don't mind, I'd much prefer to show and tell you.
05:08Would you be willing to discuss the details while we're out riding?
05:09Yeah, totally!
05:10I'd love to know that!
05:11I'm here!
05:12I'm here!
05:13Oh, and you must be George!
05:14It's wonderful to finally make your acquaintance face to face!
05:15The two of us have much to discuss, but more on that later.
05:16I'm so glad that all of you could make it to the park!
05:18It means the world that you're here to help out.
05:19I know I promised to explain everything once you arrived.
05:21However, if you don't mind, I'd much prefer to show and tell you.
05:24Would you be willing to discuss the details while we're out riding?
05:33Yeah, totally!
05:34I'd love to polish up my equestrian skills a bit first before we head out, though.
05:39Same!
05:40It's always great to practice.
05:42Then we'll do just that with your good friends, Tornado and Pepper.
05:46Brushing up on the basics during a little trail ride with them will be a walk.
05:50Or should I say, trot in the park.
05:53Ah, a trail ride.
05:56Now that's an idea.
05:58What do you say, Dad?
06:00Wanna come with us and see the sights?
06:02Actually, I left some things back at the car that I should go grab.
06:08But I'll be around if you want to meet back up after you're done.
06:12Very well. Ranger Quinn expressed interest in joining us for a little tour.
06:18We'll get ready to go meet up with her in the meantime.
06:22I'll fly her down and let her know that you're gearing up.
06:25Have fun, girls!
06:27Thanks, Dad!
06:28We'll see you later!
06:29Bye, Mr. Roberts!
06:31Lady Carson, can we go see Tornado and Pepper now?
06:34Yes, they're right over here.
06:36Follow me.
06:37Tornado, look who's come to visit!
06:41Say hello!
06:42Peppa, aren't you delighted to see your friends?
06:48They've certainly missed you and are looking forward to riding with you again.
06:55Before we get started, who would like to ride which horse?
06:59Pepper, please!
07:01Awesome! I'll take Tornado!
07:04Excellent!
07:05There are a few things to reveal before we hit the trail, so let me know when you're ready and we'll get started.
07:11Alright, let's begin!
07:13As you know, it's very important to greet your horse before you start riding, so go ahead and give Pepper a pat.
07:33It's wonderful to greet our friends, isn't it?
07:36And, all horses thrive on positive attention, so feel free to pet them whenever you'd like.
07:42Both of you will enjoy the benefits of having a stronger bond.
07:51See? They agree with me!
07:53I know there are more bases to cover, but can we go over them on the trail?
07:58Experience really is the best teacher! I'd love to mount up and head out!
08:03I couldn't agree more. I believe you're ready to ride. Mount up and we'll be off. Go ahead and give it a try!
08:15Wonderful! You're ready to get moving!
08:20Let's get going!
08:22Nicely done! Follow me to the trail!
08:26Ah, nothing beats the great outdoors!
08:29How's everyone feeling?
08:31This is great! It's all starting to come back to me now!
08:34You said it! I can't wait to really get moving!
08:40Not to worry, dears. Once we're on the trail itself, we'll pick up the pace.
08:44We'll pick up the pace!
09:01Marvelous! Ranger Quinn is just up ahead!
09:03Hmmmm.
09:06Hmmmm..
09:11Hey girls! Lady Carson!
09:14Hey girls, Lady Carson.
09:32We're going to ride a part of the through-line trail.
09:34That should give you a good lay of the land.
09:37Bobble my lead.
09:37I think we're ready to go a bit faster now.
09:44Follow along at a nice calm canter.
09:49Alright, giddy up tornado.
09:54Let's go, Pepper.
09:56Fresh air and a breeze.
09:58More of this, please.
10:04Wow.
10:04I thought this place was beautiful before, but now?
10:09Stunning!
10:11California parks really hit differently.
10:14I mean, this is next level even for me.
10:17And I've lived here most of my life.
10:19Gorgeous, right?
10:21This is one of the many scenic spots that you can explore here in the park.
10:25But that's not all we have on offer.
10:28Ranger Quinn is right.
10:29This park is home to many types of wildlife just waiting to be spotted.
10:33Quite a few creatures should be out and about now.
10:37Perhaps we'll get to see some of them.
10:38This would make a great picture.
11:06Wow, look at that.
11:15I see it.
11:16Nicely spotted.
11:17You've got a keen eye.
11:29Ready to pick up the pace a little more?
11:31Try galloping.
11:32I see it.
11:33I see it.
11:34I see it.
11:35I see it.
11:36I see it.
11:37I see it.
11:38Oh, yeah.
11:39Woo-hoo!
11:40Look, over there.
11:41Good catch.
11:42Clever sighting.
11:43Well done.
11:44Ooh, look at that.
11:49Oh, it's gorgeous.
11:51Stop.
11:52Stop.
11:53Stop.
11:54Over there.
11:55Look.
11:56Goodness.
11:57What do you see?
11:58Wild horses.
11:59A whole herd of them.
12:00Oh, look at them.
12:01They're having so much fun.
12:05You know, every animal we've seen along the trail looks so happy.
12:06And healthy too.
12:07It's really wonderful.
12:08The rangers must work so hard to keep the park in great shape.
12:09Everyone does their part for sure.
12:10For most rangers, park specialists, and of course, are out of this world volunteers like Lady
12:12Carson.
12:13Working with her horses is a dream.
12:14And our stables are running so much fun.
12:15Oh, look at them.
12:16Oh, look at them.
12:17They're having so much fun.
12:18You know, every animal we've seen along the trail looks so happy.
12:23And healthy too.
12:24It's really wonderful.
12:26The rangers must work so hard to keep the park in great shape.
12:30Everyone does their part for sure.
12:32For most rangers, park specialists, and of course, are out of this world volunteers like
12:37Lady Carson.
12:38Working with her horses is a dream.
12:41And our stables are running so much more efficiently now, thanks to her expertise.
12:46We've come to depend on her a lot.
12:49Oh, nonsense.
12:51Everything was running just fine before I stepped in.
12:54However, I cannot express my gratitude enough for allowing me to participate in such a worthwhile
13:01project during my stay.
13:03That's right.
13:05You mentioned you were here visiting Ken and his family in the invite.
13:08How did you end up volunteering at Canterbury Trails?
13:11Well, since I was coming for such a nice long visit, I wanted to make sure I kept out from
13:17Underfoot and used my spare time most effectively.
13:20I heard about the park and its wild horses and came running.
13:24Combine that with a stable program and a need for volunteers, I bet you signed up immediately.
13:30Precisely.
13:31And I'm glad I did.
13:33There is so much to see, learn, and discover here alongside great potential.
13:39Right!
13:40The documentary!
13:42Are we here to help showcase the park's awesome potential so Mr. Roberts can make a documentary
13:47about it?
13:48Somewhat.
13:49He's here to do just that.
13:51But that's not the only reason I invited you here.
13:54I have a special opportunity I'd like to get you involved in if you're interested.
13:58We're so interested.
13:59We're so interested.
14:00But, can we hang out here and watch the wild horses for a little bit longer?
14:05I'm not quite ready to go yet.
14:07Off we go!
14:11All right!
14:24Now that you've seen some of the many joys the park has to offer, I believe it's time
14:34I told you why I invited you here.
14:36Hop off and we'll give the horses a bit of a break while we talk.
14:40Yeah, let's take a break. Great job, Pepper.
14:50So, Lady Carson, what's this special opportunity if we're not making a documentary about the park?
14:57Especially if it's something you said you needed our help with, specifically.
15:01Well, after our last adventure, I've come to think very highly of you both.
15:06Your optimism, follow-through, attention to detail, and passion for helping others is just what Canterbury Trails needs to continue thriving.
15:16While volunteering here, I've noticed that the park could use a little extra help.
15:21Everyone is working so hard and doing such a wonderful job, but things could be improved for everyone if we were to turn Canterbury Trails into a nature preserve.
15:32Especially the wild horses living here. We want to be able to provide them with a beautiful, thriving home forever.
15:41Anything to help the horses? So, what's the plan? We want in.
15:45We were hoping you'd say that.
15:49So, the Federal Park Service just announced that they're able to offer a ton of support to the next park that becomes a nature preserve.
15:57It'd be huge for the park if we couldn't make that happen.
16:01Then, we'd always get exactly what we need in order to take care of the horses and the park, and keep it as a protected spot for everyone to enjoy.
16:12Then let's make it happen. What do we have to do?
16:15Complete and turn in a preserve packet containing proof that the park has locations with natural splendor, important wildlife, places of historic or cultural significance, and recreational potential, and we may be selected.
16:32Oh, so like photographing the park and turning in the pics.
16:35Yes, that's totally up our alley. We'd be happy to do that.
16:40And if we get to keep riding, we could really put the horse in horsepower and get it done super fast.
16:47Lady Carson, can we keep borrowing Tornado and Pepper?
16:50Actually, since they already know the park quite well, working on the packet could be an excellent opportunity to get some of our newer horses up to speed.
17:02We should be interested in training up these new horses so that they're ready for guests or other rangers when duty calls.
17:08I love working with young horses. Yes, please.
17:13It's settled then. Once we finish our trail ride, we'll get everyone set up for success. Let's get going.
17:20Let's ride!
17:26Are there a lot of other trails in the park we should check out while we're working on the packet?
17:30There are quite a few, but you can ride wherever you like.
17:34There are also some trails that we planned out but haven't officially marked yet because everyone's just so busy.
17:41Is there anything we can do? I know we're not rangers or anything, but we're happy to help anywhere we can.
17:46Huh. You may not be rangers, but if Ranger Annalise makes you Junior Rangers in training, you'd be able to help out with official tasks. What do you think?
17:56Really? We could become Junior Rangers? No way!
18:01I love the sound of that. Junior Rangers Barbie and Barbie reporting for Duke.
18:06It sure does have a nice ring to it.
18:09I'll radio Ranger Annalise from the get back. I think she'd love to get you on board.
18:13I have to get back to my post, but feel free to swing by anytime. I'm never too busy for Junior Rangers in training.
18:36We'll come see you later. Thanks, Ranger Quinn.
18:39Is now a good time to get saddled up with our new horses?
18:43It's the best time. Let's head back to the stables. Follow me.
18:48We're right behind you.
18:50Wow, that was such a great trail ride. Everything came right back to me.
19:07Same. Just like riding a bike.
19:10Lady Carson, is there anything we have to do to stable Tornado and Pepper before we meet our new horses?
19:15Ah, yes. You're quite right. I know it's one of your favorite parts of the day.
19:24We'll finish up by going over some basic stapling. It will make Tornado and Pepper very happy.
19:31After all that riding, you'll notice that Tornado and Pepper are looking a bit dusty.
19:36Let's get them cleaned up.
19:38Here is some shampoo and a curry comb for Pepper.
19:41If you could get her all nice and clean while I take care of Tornado, I would be most appreciative.
19:52Use the shampoo and curry comb to green Pepper.
19:55She'll be so happy to be clean.
19:57He'll be so happy to be clean.
20:17It's fun.
20:21I should rotate the saddle plankets.
20:45Now that's what I call squeak-eak-leak.
20:48How do we do, Lady Carson?
20:49Is there anything else we need to know about grooming?
20:53Excellent job. You both did wonderfully.
20:56All you need to remember is to groom your horses occasionally while you're out and about.
21:02A clean horse is a happy horse. Cut it!
21:06Well said. Oh, and that reminds me.
21:09We need to finish up by going over a few last items of horse care.
21:14Meet me at the hitching post when you're ready.
21:16Splendid. You found the hitching post. This is where you'll be able to equip your horses with a proper tack.
21:23Tack is such a great word.
21:25It means all the equipment we need to keep everyone comfortable while we're riding, right?
21:30Precisely. The tack you'll be responsible for on your new horses is their bridles, saddle blankets, and saddles.
21:37And don't forget the most stylish part. The accessory!
21:41An important component to be sure. Whenever you wish to change tack and accessories for your horses, or even for yourselves, you can do so at the hitching posts all throughout the park.
21:53And, as a reward for completing your first trail ride and for taking such great care of Tornado and Pepper, I'd like to give you your very first accessory.
22:03Oh, wow! It's so pretty! Can we put it on Pepper now?
22:07Go right ahead. Pepper loves to be fashionable.
22:10Awesome! Time for a major look.
22:17Give Pepper a new look at the hitching post. She loves to be stylish.
22:22Let's change things up.
22:24We look great!
22:26Oh! She looks so pretty!
22:36I love it! Totally fashion forward!
22:39Oh, stunning! Just stunning!
22:41It's not always just about tips, tricks, and techniques.
22:45We also love to have fun with style.
22:47You girls are now practically experts in horse care.
22:51We have just one thing left to do.
22:53Feeding!
22:53We'll give the horses a snack to keep up their energy and thank them for their hard work.
22:59Here are some apples and carrots.
23:02Go ahead and feed one of them to Pepper.
23:07Pick something to feed Pepper.
23:09She's probably hungry after that long ride.
23:14Time for a snack!
23:15Thank you so much again for taking such good care of Tornado and Pepper.
23:25I truly appreciate it.
23:35Now, let me introduce you to your new horses.
23:39Dancer and Lucky.
23:40Wow, they're so beautiful!
23:45They look pretty peppy, too.
23:47We're going to have so much fun working together.
23:50Go ahead and greet them.
23:52I'll put Tornado and Pepper back in their stalls while you're getting acquainted.
23:56I'm back.
24:20How are you all getting along?
24:22I feel like I've met my new best friend.
24:25Same here.
24:27Instant connection!
24:34Um, hi.
24:36Uh, sorry to interrupt.
24:38Ranger Quinn sent me.
24:39I'm Ranger Annalise.
24:41I'm looking for Barbie.
24:44Hi!
24:45That's us.
24:46We're both Barbies.
24:47We have the same name, so we call each other by nicknames when we're both in the same room.
24:52That's right!
24:52Hey, I'm Malibu, and she's Brooklyn.
24:55Is there something we can help you with?
24:57Oh, there's two of you.
24:59Great!
25:00I'm the new head ranger.
25:02And I really need your help to prove how wonderful Canterbury Trails is.
25:06Will you become junior rangers in training to help the park become a nature preserve so we can all continue to do our best?
25:18We're all in.
25:20We'll do whatever it takes to help you complete the packet and make that dream a reality.
25:24And we'll get to spend more time with the horses while we do it.
25:28Win-win!
25:32Amazing!
25:32Here's the packet and your trainee badges.
25:35That should be everything you need.
25:38Wow!
25:39We're now officially on duty.
25:41I can't wait to get started.
25:43Oh, before we start, can we take some time to get to know our horses first?
25:49A stronger bond will make us better partners.
25:51Oh, sorry, yes.
25:56Absolutely, please do.
25:57I'll be at the park office whenever you're ready for your first official task.
26:03And just so you know, there are other specialists all around the park.
26:07Check in with them when you can.
26:09Everyone's eager to do their part to help you.
26:13Also, girls, before I forget, your father is at the park entrance.
26:18He says he has something for you.
26:20Oh, great.
26:21We'll go pick it up and head out.
26:23Thanks, Ranger Annalise.
26:25Lady Carson.
26:26Oh, no, thank you, girls.
26:28I'll see you both at the park office in a bit.
26:34Hello, Bobby.
26:38Alright, let's go.
26:43Okay, giddy up.
26:50Nice to be able to go with the flow and just hang out for a second.
27:17All right.
27:47All right, let's go.
27:58Off we go.
27:59Woo-hoo!
28:12Woo-hoo!
28:12I
28:42All right!
28:54All right!
29:12All right!
29:30All right!
29:40All right!
29:42This is so cool!
29:50I'll be right back, Lucky!
29:54What's the story I want to tell?
29:58Hey girls!
30:00Thanks for meeting up with me.
30:02I heard that you're off on an important mission here in the park.
30:06I have just the thing to help you document all the locations with natural splendor.
30:12Wow!
30:14Dad, it's your camera?
30:16We were just going to use our phones, but this is so much better!
30:20Vintage!
30:22Wait!
30:24I just had a great idea!
30:26When you're filming, you're always looking for locations where you can take B-roll footage,
30:31right?
30:32We could go location scouting for you while we're exploring the park!
30:36Yeah!
30:37There are tons of scenic spots around here.
30:39I bet any of them would be great to showcase!
30:42And it'd be great to get two tasks done in one snapshot.
30:46By logging scenic spots for the park, we'll get location preview photos for you!
30:52And with your camera, Dad, they'll turn out amazing!
30:55What do you think?
30:56I'd love that, Barbie!
30:58Thank you!
30:59There are tons of places that I'd like to check out, but you can only get to them by horseback.
31:05Were you helping me out?
31:07I'll be able to choose which spots I'd like to mount up and make the trek to later.
31:13That way, I won't miss out on something by trying to hit every location in the park.
31:18Aw, I think Lucky's looking forward to seeing more of the park and helping you out, too!
31:25Well then, let's get you ready to go!
31:29I'll show you how the camera works, and you can do a practice run before heading out.
31:34Point your camera towards what you want to photograph.
31:37When you see the indicator come into the frame, your subject's ready to have its picture taken.
31:42Lighting is your friend, and that's all you need to know about operating the camera.
31:51You've got a really great picture!
31:53See?

31:59Where to?
32:00I know just the spot.
32:01Ranger Quinn mentioned that there's a scenic spot by the lake that shouldn't be missed.
32:13Take a picture, bring it back, and I'll see you whether we want to add it to the B-roll location roster.
32:19Great!
32:20That's a plan!
32:21Later, bestie!
32:22I'll see you there!
32:23I wonder what makes the lake a go-to destination.
32:28Think it'll be a good place to check out?
32:31Okay!
32:32Giddyup!

35:35Picture this. The soft sounds of the surrounding area fade in with the visual.
35:41A relaxing, easy-listening instrumental track sets the mood,
35:46with my smooth and engaging voice telling you an interesting fact, inviting you in.
35:52And there it is. The golden moment. A moment that is meant to be shared.
35:59Speaking of sharing golden moments, don't forget to make some memories of your own behind the scenes with your friends.
36:06You know what I mean. Taking pictures with your friends. It's important to document fun, too.
36:16Such good advice, right, Lucky? We'll make sure to take it.
36:19Thanks for the camera, Dad. Now we're fully geared up to help out and have fun around here.
36:26Yeah, we're going to get a ton of use out of it. We'll swing by later when we have something to show you.
36:32Oh, Ranger Annalise is probably ready for us at the park office. Want to go check in with her?
36:37Absolutely. There's a lot we can do to help.

53:19Hmm, what's the story I want to tell?
53:24Hey, Barbie!
53:42Think about what you want to share, and how you want to share it when you're taking your picture.
