'Major disruption': Belgium strikes affect thousands of travellers as flights grounded today

Belgium’s national strike has slowed travel across the country, as three main airports ground flights and metro lines stop running.

00:00Belgium's latest national strike is expected to spark chaos across the country on Tuesday the 14th of October.
00:10Trade unions will protest against reforms by the federal government impacting pensions, salaries and working conditions.
00:18The city's two main airports, Brussels Airport and Brussels Charleroi, have confirmed hundreds of flights have been cancelled.
00:25Train, bus and tram services will also be significantly reduced.
