Crown Inn Arford wins best pub in Farnham constituency award

The Crown Inn Arford has been voted the best pub in Farnham & Bordon by constituents in a competition run by MP, Greg Stafford. He visited the pub to present the certificate and get a lovely pint of Landlord.

00:00Some of you may know that I've been running a best pub in the Farnham and Borden constituency

00:05and there are 55 really excellent pubs in the constituency

00:09but I'm really proud to announce, and I think some of you may already have an inkling of this

00:13but I am very proud to announce that the winner of the best pub

00:18in the Farnham and Borden parliamentary constituency was the Crown in Arleford

00:22so well done

00:23There is a really warm feeling when I talk to people about this pub

00:30because of the way it's been reset up

00:32because of the way that the communities come together to keep this pub going

00:35so I think it's an absolutely well deserved winner

00:38and I'm very happy to present the award for best pub

00:43so well done to Simon

00:46Unfortunately I've been asked to make a speech

00:53I haven't written one

00:56but I'll try, I'll do my best

00:58and help either behind the bar

01:00or taking in deliveries

01:02or doing your bits and pieces

01:04there are a lot of things coming up

01:11we've got a casino night coming up

01:13we have a live music night coming up

01:16we have Halloween coming up

01:18One Pop Thursday

01:19and obviously Friday, Saturday and Sunday

01:22we do food service

01:23so please make sure you've got it in advance
