Netanyahu thanks US President Donald Trump, Kushner and Witkoff after government meeting

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thanked US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner on Thursday ahead of a government meeting in Jerusalem to vote on a US-brokered Gaza deal to release all hostages and end the war in the Palestinian territory.
Kushner and Witkoff both praised Netanyahu's approach to the negotiations.
Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas signed an agreement on Thursday to cease fire and free Israeli hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners, in the first phase of Trump's initiative to end the two-year war in Gaza that has upended the Middle East.
While Netanyahu called the deal "a diplomatic success and a national and moral victory for the State of Israel,"

00:01We've made this development in the last two years.
00:05We've fought during these two years to achieve our war aims.
00:09And a central one of these war aims is to return the hostages, all of the hostages, the living and the dead.
00:16And we're about to achieve that goal.
00:19We couldn't have achieved it without the extraordinary help of President Trump and his team,
00:25Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. They worked tirelessly with Ron and his team, our team.
00:33And that and the courage of our soldiers to enter Gaza in a combined military and diplomatic pressure that isolated Hamas,
00:46I think has brought us to this point.
00:48I want to personally thank both of you, Steve and Jared. It's been long hours.
00:54You worked on the clock, but not only worked, I think you put in your brains and your hearts.
01:13And we know that it's for the benefit of Israel and the United States, for the benefit of decent people everywhere,
01:20and for the benefit of these families who will finally get to be with our loved ones.
01:24And I want to thank you on their behalf as well, and on behalf of the people of Israel.
01:28Thank you. With all of them.
01:33Obviously, bringing the hostages home has been a priority for President Trump for a very, very long time.
01:40And we've all worked very tirelessly to do that.
01:44But I really want to say that this all would not have been possible without the bravery of the IDF and the soldiers,
01:50what they've accomplished, not just in Gaza, but also what they've done in the theater over the last couple of years
01:57to eliminate Hezbollah in the north and really degrade them.
02:01What you were able to do in Iran, it really helped set a big tone.
02:04But particularly seeing the way that your citizen army, I know a lot of you, probably all of you, have family, friends who were in this effort,
02:11you know, really put your sacrifices on the line to fight for your country and to try to make a difference.
02:18I think that made a very, very big difference in there.
02:21And I want to just give a very, very special thanks to Prime Minister Netanyahu,
02:26who really did an incredible job with this and did a great job with the negotiations.
02:32You held your lines firm.
02:33And I think that between you and President Trump, you had a lot of alignment on what the end state should be.
02:39The hard job was the Prime Minister's.
02:41He had the job of protecting this country.
02:44He had the job of making tough choices with regard to how tough to be with Hamas,
02:50when to be flexible, when not to be flexible.
02:53I think to myself all the time, I lost sleep over it.
02:58What would I have done in some of those circumstances?
03:00There were times that I thought we should be more flexible or your country should be more flexible.
03:07But the truth is, as I look back, I don't think we get to this place without Prime Minister Netanyahu playing it up.
03:14And I'm not just saying that. They're not just words.
03:23The President believes that. My President believes it.
03:25He believes that Prime Minister Netanyahu made some very, very difficult calls.
03:31And lesser people would not have made those calls.
03:34And here we are today because Hamas had to, they had to do this deal.
03:40The pressure was on them. They were backed up.
03:43And you've got the bigger army. You were making inroads.
03:47And that's what led to this deal.
03:49And here we are today.
03:50To be sure that Prime Minister Netanyahu has won,
03:52trials and won't have made those calls.
03:54You're getting there.
03:55And so, we look back at Prime Minister Netanyahu.
03:58And to speak, we look back at KingKaz.
03:59And we'll see you next time.
04:00I'll try and see you next time.
04:01I hope you guys make the very first time,
04:02we'll see you next time for the time of time.
04:04And this time of time, we'll see you next time.
04:06I hope you guys will be able to do this.
04:07Thanks for 25 years.
04:08To keep your chances, we'll be able to find it.
04:10You see you next time.
04:12I hope you guys are at the same time.
04:13I hope you guys are coming out.
04:14It's a two hours.
