The 'Sinners' actor shows how she likes to do her daily makeup–even when she only has 10 minutes to put it on! From prepping her skin to reminding herself that less is more, Hailee takes you through the routine behind her signature look.

00:00Not gonna lie, when I was on set of Sinners, covered in blood and dirt and whatever the heck else,
00:08the thought crossed my mind that very soon we'll be on the red carpet of the premiere for this movie
00:13and I will be in full glam, feeling gorgeous, beautiful, glowy, clean.
00:20And sure enough, that got me through.
00:22Hey, Laura, it's Hailee Steinfeld and this is my 10-minute beauty routine.
00:25First things first, skin prep.
00:31My current go-to and not-so-secret secret is starting with the Neutrogena Collagen Bank 15% Vitamin C Serum.
00:40I'm gonna start by just pressing this into my skin.
00:44It exfoliates and leaves my skin feeling so glowy and hydrated, which again is my goal.
00:51Just every day, but especially before putting any makeup on.
00:58And then, next up, SPF is key.
01:01I do not leave the house without it.
01:03I travel a lot, so my skin gets dehydrated very, very quickly, very easily.
01:09So I like to pack on the moisture.
01:11So I am just gonna go back in and press this in.
01:17I can't tell you how bad I want to be that girl that like has the full sheet mask on the flight and everything.
01:22And while it's in my bag, I normally fall asleep before I take off and I wake up right as we're landing.
01:27But I do like to take extra steps in skin prep for a flight with just making sure that my skin is very moisturized and hydrated because we all know getting off that plane, you just feel like you landed in the Sahara Desert no matter where you've landed.
01:43Okay, now I'm gonna go in with a little foundation.
01:47Some Luminous Silk.
01:49This has been my favorite foundation for the longest time.
01:53I feel like it's just buildable, but it just feels really natural.
01:57So I kind of like to spread it out on my hand so that I really kind of don't have that much on the brush by the time I go to put it on.
02:05And I kind of like to tap it in.
02:12As far as trying new things in my routine, I don't know.
02:15I'm somewhere in between loving just experimenting and having fun with my beauty routine.
02:22However, if it ain't broke, my skin is very sensitive and highly reactive.
02:27So I feel like if I find something that works for me, I kind of like to, I like to stick with it.
02:34Okay, next up.
02:36Well, I guess that thing I just said about trying something new.
02:40This is actually a new, well, it's not new in that I always use concealer, but new concealer with a color corrector, which the color corrector is the added step.
02:51So, little shape tape, color corrector, game changer for this gal right here.
02:58So I will take the tiniest bit of this and mix it with this Gorge Westman Atelier concealer.
03:08I mix it together on my hand, and then I just get on in there.
03:17Part of my favorite moments on set are picking up the tips and tricks.
03:23I do get to work with the most amazing artists, and oh, I feel like I'm constantly asking questions, and just, I don't know.
03:32I do find that, like, while I've picked up some really good little hacks here and there, I always find the best, like, advice is that less is more.
03:40And let your beauty shine through, right?
03:43I love makeup, so don't get me wrong.
03:46This isn't, like, a don't wear makeup and be all natural.
03:49I love a makeup moment.
03:50I also do love a natural moment as well.
03:53But I really think, like, less is more, and enhance your natural beauty, and enhance the parts of it that you love.
03:59And, yeah.
04:02Confidence.
04:02Confidence is the best beauty tip.
04:06Okay, next, I'm gonna go in the little sculpt situation.
04:13Same brush that I applied my foundation with, which I love because it kind of, I don't know, tones down anything that might be a little much with a brand new brush going in for some bronzer.
04:23So, kind of tap this onto the brush, and then something I try to remind myself of when I'm applying bronzer is really get in there and not be afraid to sort of press it into the skin.
04:41On to blush.
04:42Going in with some Luminous Silk cheek tint, if you will.
04:47Gonna just go ahead and apply it right here.
04:51Right here.
04:53And tap it in.
05:01Normally, when I'm doing my makeup, I'm on FaceTime with a friend, or I have my husband sitting in my room with me because I just, like, love to get ready and talk and, like, have company.
05:11And whenever I'm doing blush, I will, I'm smiling.
05:14And it's always the part, it's always the part in the conversation that, like, doesn't want a smile, per se.
05:19I don't know, this just happened where my friend was like, why, why are you smiling?
05:24Or why are you laughing?
05:25This is not funny.
05:26And really just the priority in the moment was making sure the blush was on and applied correctly.
05:31So, didn't really know what you were saying, but the blush looks good.
05:36Okay.
05:37For my eyes, I keep it really simple.
05:39Again, less is more for me.
05:40The other thing I feel like about me when I do my makeup is if I do give myself limited time, things tend to go better than if I have too much time.
05:51But, again, if we're talking, like, 10-minute go-to, I normally take a nice neutral color and just kind of do a wash over my whole lid.
06:00Keep it simple.
06:05Next, I'm going to curl my lashes, do some mascara.
06:08All right, I'm going to go in with some Benefit Bad Girl Mascara.
06:22I've been really into brown mascara lately.
06:29I'm going to go back to this eyeshadow palette.
06:32I think I'm going to go with this one right here and do just the tiniest little flick.
06:41Just kind of in the direction towards my brow.
06:56I'm going to go in with a little iconic nude lip liner.
06:59This is part of my, like, full rotation of nude lip liners.
07:16I'm going in with this Fenty Beauty High Shine Lip Moment.
07:21Not going to lie, when I was on set of Sinners covered in blood and dirt and whatever the heck else,

07:47And sure enough, that got me through.
07:50Being in those moments makes you really appreciate what it feels like to be glammed up and to feel beautiful.
07:55And not that that has to consist of being on a red carpet and having full glam,
08:00but just being clean and conscious of what you're putting on your skin and what you're using on your skin.
08:06Luckily, the blood and all that craziness did consist of, apparently, so we were told, good enough ingredients.
08:14But when that stuff sits on your skin for so long, it wreaks havoc, for sure, as it did for me.
08:20So just to be out of that and back into my easy, quick, clean routine really made me, really made me appreciate it even more.
08:30Last step, I'm going to go in with some brow gel, brush up these brows, and then I always take a spoolie with me.
08:43Because I always, I always need a little midday, you know, touch up on the brows, just a little brush.
08:51Occasionally, I will lightly fill them in.
08:59I've been down that road of filling them in a little too dark.
09:02And that, that is where we look in the mirror and don't so much appreciate the fullest of a brow.
09:07However, I've gotten into a good little thing where if I just fill them in very lightly, brush them up, I really do love them.
09:13And that's something I definitely like to enhance in my quick little beauty routine.
