00:19:31The pain from the bite also

00:19:34Yeah, it's a very common thing that people get from bites
00:19:37From snakes, even non-poison snakes
00:19:40The psychological effect can actually have the same impact
00:19:43So Jake, Dr. Barry's saying most times there is no venom

00:19:52We're gonna treat this as though it is a venomous bite

00:52:39So, I have to closely look at my relationships.

00:52:44Who is the person that's going to get me to the end?
00:52:49But then I also have to figure out what in the hell am I doing with this idol?
00:52:53Do I play it for myself so I'm safe?
00:52:57Or do I try and keep it in my pocket and use it moving forward?
00:53:01Do you think he's going to play?
00:53:02No.
00:53:03He's taking his ass.
00:53:05I think that Alex playing his idol could be a bluff.
00:53:07So, ideally, I would vote with Jeremiah, my number one, and vote out Alex.
00:53:12But I need to make sure that I don't go home because of that idol.
00:53:17And if that means voting out Jeremiah, I might have to do that.
00:53:20This is the hardest and most important decision I've had to make in this game.
00:53:50All right.
00:54:05Let me start by giving you my take of this tribe in terms of the votes at Tribal.
00:54:11That seemed to be fairly easy in that they were both unanimous decisions.
00:54:16Then you lose Jake.
00:54:18It's dramatic, it's emotional, but what I noticed today is you seemed rudderless.
00:54:24Alex, was Jake a leader?
00:54:26Is that missing right now?
00:54:28Yeah.
00:54:28Jake definitely was the one who had the relationships with all of us, I'd say.
00:54:34And so, yes, here we are trying to figure out who is it that we're going to try and go to the end with,
00:54:40which is so hard.
00:54:41It's like we never even had to think about that before.
00:54:43And then it's like we just had to snap right into it.
00:54:46Jeremiah, you were nodding a lot.
00:54:48Yeah.
00:54:49Like now that we have to draw the line in the sand and bamboozle one of us,
00:54:54it just creates a different tone because we've never felt like this until tonight.
00:55:00So, Sophie, there is only one way to turn left or I turn right.
00:55:05You can only do the, what is it, like dancing when you go, you trade partners and it's 2v1, then 2v1, then 2v1.
00:55:12That's it.
00:55:12It's like a salsa dance, Jeff.
00:55:14And I do salsa, so I'm kind of used to this, you know, switching partners and seeing who I have more chemistry with.
00:55:20And that's usually when it's more fun.
00:55:22And, um, but no, Jeff, the hardest part is that we do have to get rid of one of us tonight, which is devastating.
00:55:29But if you have to get rid of one of your people, you have to do it for you to survive.
00:55:35Alex, what was most different about going back to camp after losing again?
00:55:40Well, I'm in a unique position, Jeff.
00:55:42I have an idol and everyone knows it.
00:55:44And so, it was like a job application and Jeremiah and Sophie were both trying to apply for this position, who I'm bringing with me to the next stage.
00:55:54And so, I don't know, I'm looking to fill the position in a matter of minutes here.
00:55:59So, how did the job application process go?
00:56:02Did you have time set aside for each of the applicants?
00:56:04Oh, absolutely.
00:56:05I'd switched office locations.
00:56:07I was at the beach with Jeremiah.
00:56:08I was in the shelter for Sophie.
00:56:10And it was a very thorough process.
00:56:13And it was really just an honest conversation about the game so far, you know?
00:56:17So, it sounds a little bit more like an interrogation rather than a job interview.

00:56:22I'm just used to being on the other side of the application process.
00:56:26I'm not a good interviewer, so we'll see.

00:57:28the same, act the same.
00:57:29It's just so powerful.
00:57:30And then when you bring in loyalty, there's been opportunities for me to, like, turn against
00:57:35Alex, and I've never said his name.
00:57:37And so I think what matters the most is, like, what's resonating with Jake the most and who
00:57:43he feels...

00:57:47Yeah, so I think the ball's in Jake.

00:57:54Yeah, I mean, absolutely.
00:57:56It's kind of just, like, where does the balance fall?
00:58:01You know, when I came into this game, I wanted to work with someone who, like, no one would
00:58:04expect in, like, secrecy almost and just run the game.
00:58:08I mean, it didn't work out because I was with Jake and everyone knew about how growing
00:58:11it.
00:58:12But now it's my chance to kind of reset.
00:58:16I'm looking for someone who I can see going long in this game with.
00:58:20Like, that's what I'm out here for.
00:58:21I'm out here to play and I'm out here to win.
00:58:23And so who's going to be that loyal person down the road is kind of what it just came
00:58:27down to.
00:58:29So, Sophie, is the scenario you're going with that Alex is going to play his idol, therefore
00:58:35he is safe, and he's basically going to decide who goes home?
00:58:39Yes, sir.
00:58:40We all knew that he has an idol.
00:58:42And that definitely comes into play tonight because you don't want to be a casualty of
00:58:46an idol.
00:58:46But I feel that trust with somebody who will vote with me tonight, and we're making that
00:58:51decision together.

00:58:54No, I mean, it doesn't have to be Alex.
00:58:56It could be Jeremiah as well.
00:58:58Who knows if, you know, Alex is bluffing us.
00:59:02So you're not certain that he's playing the idol?

00:59:07I mean, you can never be certain in Survivor.

00:59:10Because it is a bold move to say, I have the idol and I will be playing it, and then not

00:59:15Alex and I had a conversation and I asked him, how would you feel if you, like, went home

00:59:20He's like, I would regret that for, like, ever.
00:59:23And I'm like, how would you feel if you played the idol and you didn't need it?
00:59:26He's just like, I wouldn't regret that.
00:59:28I would want it for the future.
00:59:29And yet, Sophie, that's exactly what you would say to somebody if you weren't going to play
00:59:34your idol.
00:59:35Exactly.
00:59:36That's the beauty of Survivor.
00:59:38And so somebody's lying here, and somebody's going to come out on top after this boat, and
