00:00Hello there and welcome to the Celebrity Traitors Uncloaked, the official visualized podcast hosted by me, Ed Gamble.
00:07The wait is finally over, 19 celebrities have entered the game to try and win as much money as they can for charity,
00:13all while the faithful amongst them attempt to catch the traitors, who are working to stab them in the back.
00:19And things on Uncloaked will remain mostly the same, but with some added fun.
00:23I got to go up to the Traitors Castle in Scotland and exclusively reveal to the banished and murdered faithful who the traitors are straight after they left the game.
00:32Now, before I go any further, I think it's time for a spoiler warning.
00:36If you haven't watched the first episode of the Celebrity Traitors, then get your eyeballs onto BBC iPlayer right now.
00:41So, what's coming up in our very first episode?
00:44I'll be joined by three Traitor stars from Games Gone Past.
00:48Wilf from Season 1, Harry from Season 2, and Mina from Season 3.
00:53We'll discuss grave digging, Trojan horses, and that all-important traitor's pick.
00:58Plus, we'll get stuck into that cliffhanger.
01:00Who did Alan Carr choose to murder in plain sight?
01:03Not a sentence I ever thought I'd say.
01:10Wilf, Harry, Mina, welcome to the show.
01:13So, straight away, I need a one-word reaction from all of you for that first episode.
01:18Mina, you first, please.
01:20Impactful.
01:21Wilf?
01:22Memeable?
01:24Memeable.
01:24Is that an actual word? I don't know.
01:25But memeable, I'm going for that.
01:27I feel like if you want to coin a new term on quotes, that's...
01:30There you go.
01:30Memeable.
01:31Memeable.
01:32Insane.
01:32Insane.
01:33Insane.
01:33Right, okay.
01:34Insane.
01:34Yeah.
01:35Impactful.
01:36Memeable.
01:37Now, in future episodes, we will, of course, be joined by all the murdered and banished celebs who leave the castle.
01:42And even though we didn't get a murder or a banishment tonight, there's still loads to discuss.
01:46So, let's start with the traitor's pick, where Claudia selected Kat, Alan and Jonathan.
01:51And I think the tone was perhaps set best by Alan.
01:54I want to be a traitor.
01:58Oh, God, Alan.
02:00Oh, no.
02:01You will have to stab people in the back.
02:05They'd do it to me.
02:06They're showbiz people.
02:07I'd do it to them.
02:09You know what celebrities are like.
02:11They're two-faced.
02:12I love him.
02:13I love him so much.
02:14So, let's start with Alan.
02:16Mina, he clearly wants the job, but do we think he'll be any good at it?
02:19You know what?
02:20Sometimes in life, you really want things that probably aren't best for you.
02:24I imagine, like, if you've got...
02:26If you can't have dairy, you may still want cheese on your burger.
02:30Yeah.
02:30And I feel like that's what we've just watched.
02:32So, you're saying Alan is the traitor's equivalent of lactose intolerance?
02:35Yes.
02:37Yes.
02:37But I love it.
02:40I just love the way he said, well, Claudia asked him, do you want to be a traitor?
02:44And he said, yes.
02:45And he just went...
02:46I just think that was brilliant.
02:47He says that celebs are two-faced, but he's got one face and it's sweating and giggling.
02:51Like, if you're looking for changes of behaviour, Harry, do you think you would have spotted
02:56that if you were at the round table?
02:57Do you think if you were a traitor with Alan, you would have immediately known even before
03:01you had the first conclave?
03:02I don't know, because everyone will expect him.
03:04Like, that's too obvious.
03:05You know, he's already sweating at asking what he's had for dinner or like, do you want
03:08my glass of rosé?
03:09He's already sweating because he doesn't know what to do.
03:11Yeah.
03:11So, I think it's a perfect cover-up.
03:13I also think Alan Carr would have been the same, regardless if he was a traitor or not.
03:18I do think your personality is your personality.
03:21So, I think he would have been nervous at the thought of who are the traitors if he
03:25was a faithful.
03:25So, he would have been sweating regardless.
03:27Yeah.
03:28And that's what I mean.
03:29And to add on to that, it's like he's the perfect choice because he has that open book
03:34about him.
03:34You know, like, what you see is what you get with him.
03:36He's going to make the jokes.
03:37You're not going to know whether to trust him or believe him because he'll make all of
03:40them jokes either way.
03:41You know, like, when he's joking about being on Claire's side and, like, he doesn't want
03:45to get rid of her yet.
03:46Like, he would never.
03:47It's like, people are just going to see him as being him.
03:49Yeah.
03:50And then, so it's easier for him to keep that secret that he actually is a traitor.
03:53But you say in this, right, but I'm imagining Kate Garroway, if she did what she did to
03:59Cat Burns and held her hands and go, are you a traitor?
04:02Yeah.
04:02I can't imagine him reacting in a way where she wouldn't believe he's a traitor.
04:06Yeah.
04:06Well, he'd laugh and sweat.
04:08Yeah.
04:08And everyone will think that's just him.
04:10That's what I'm saying.
04:11Yeah, but I think Mina's point is that he would do that whether he was a traitor or not.
04:16Do you reckon?
04:16Yeah.
04:17And people, I think people expect Alan Carr to be a laugh and to giggle throughout everything.
04:21So I think it would have been worse if he'd gone suddenly serious.
04:24Yeah.
04:25Yeah.
04:25Yeah.
04:26So we'll see how it goes for Alan.
04:28Jonathan Ross was also picked another huge personality.
04:32Wilf, talk us through how you think the dynamic will play out between the traitors.
04:35Is it good to have two loud voices in the traitors?
04:38No, I think Jonathan's going to take lead.
04:41Cat's going to let him take the lead and let him think that he's in the lead.
04:46And Alan's going to be like the first person to throw under the bus if they need to.
04:50Hence why they said, you pick the flower.
04:53It's more obvious that you can touch people's faces.
04:55Yeah.
04:55I think Jonathan Ross as well.
04:57He's doing the job that he's done for so long.
04:59He knows people.
05:00He probably knows a lot of them more than other people know each other.
05:04So I think he's going to lead the pack.
05:07What about Cat Burns though?
05:08Yeah, she's going to be amazing.
05:09She's going to be sick.
05:11Cat is in there with two big personalities.
05:13Yeah.
05:13And it's obviously slightly quieter, but it's clearly thinking about the game and clearly
05:17has a game plan.
05:18And Cat is a massive fan of the show.
05:20Yeah.
05:21She's a massive, being a massive traitors fan, I think in itself is an advantage because
05:25you've watched it, you've tried to analyse it.
05:29And I don't think you have to be allowed to be a traitor.
05:31If anything, being quiet is a good thing.
05:34Well, Harry, you were like the quieter one out of your traitors.
05:37I was going to say, like, it was kind of, because I never had seen the traitors when
05:42I went on the show.
05:42So I thought that was my advantage.
05:44I didn't really know what was going on.
05:45So half the time I was a bit like, oh, I'll just let these two do it.
05:47You know, like I didn't know what was going on.
05:49But at the same time, I was also very much like her, quiet because like she said, the
05:53loud ones are what attracts you to them.
05:55But then not being too quiet, I think she's going to get that perfect balance.
05:58And that's the hardest thing with the game is you have to be quiet, but not too quiet.
06:01And then you have to be loud, but not too loud.
06:03So you need to find that perfect balance in the middle, which I think she's going to
06:06find.
06:07So prior to Claudia's picks, were these the three that you're expecting to see as traitors
06:11or was there anyone you thought might have been better in the turret?
06:14I thought Tom Daly would have made it.
06:17Yeah, we're saying that to you.
06:17I mean, he's straight into the game, isn't he, Tom?
06:19Yeah.
06:20You can tell he wants to get involved.
06:21Yeah.
06:22Really wanted to see Nico as well, because obviously he's a prankster and it would have
06:25been fun to see him playing pranks on people, I guess, like during the turret.
06:29So that would have been cool.
06:30I think during it, when we, before we watched it, we all thought we wanted Cat Burns to
06:35be, we all agreed.
06:36We was like, we really want Cat Burns to be a traitor.
06:38And then when we seen Alan's interview, we were like, he has to be a traitor.
06:44He has to be one.
06:45It's going to be the best.
06:46And when he got tapped, we all started screaming because he got tapped.
06:49We're like, yes, this is going to be the best.
06:50It's very exciting.
06:52It's so good.
06:53That's where you want to see him.
06:54Alan floundering is the funniest Alan.
06:57So a few words from each of you then on Jonathan, Cat and Alan.
07:01Out of 10, how strong a traitor's team is this?
07:04Wilf, let's start with you.
07:05I'm going to say 10, just for the fact that everybody brings something different to the
07:10table and Alan's a good sacrificial lamb for now.
07:15I know it sounds really bad, but if you needed to, you'd be able to crumble him.
07:19You'd have so much evidence.
07:20I'm sorry.
07:23What about you, Mina?
07:24I feel like 10 was a really high number, but now I also want to give them a 10.
07:27I'm going to go with a nine.
07:29I think they are going to work together.
07:31I don't see anyone throwing anyone under the bus anytime soon.
07:34I think Alan's going to be a great traitor.
07:37He reminds me of a girl in the American one who also was a little bit like flustered and
07:43all over the shop.
07:44She made it to the final.
07:45So I feel like they're going to work well together.
07:47I think they will recruit before any one of the three of them is banished.
07:51And Harry?
07:53I would give it a strong eight.
07:55I think eight's, for one, my favourite number, actually, by the way.
07:58One fact.
07:58And two, I just think they're an amazing team and they all seem to have taken their place.
08:03And they're going to be a strong team who works as, like you said, Jonathan Ross will
08:07be that, the leader.
08:08Cat Burns is the chilled one.
08:10So they're not going to be fighting for a position.
08:12I just don't think that what would have made it a 10 for me is that maybe there's a fourth
08:16traitor in there or someone who's going to be the backstabber.
08:18I want to see someone getting rid of the traitors inside of the traitors.
08:22It's all about the backstabbing, but I don't see any of them backstabbing each other.
08:27Now, there are, of course, 16 other players in the game, all with different skill sets
08:31and talents.
08:32And Stephen Fry was able to pick out one person in particular when they first arrived in the
08:36castle.
08:38Because you were famous for barging into places and pretending to be things you aren't.
08:43How do you know that?
08:44Oh, I have a sticky memory.
08:47Wow.
08:47Stephen Fry knows who I am.
08:50The one thing which I wanted was to be kind of unknown to everyone.
08:54Now, everyone's going to see me as a conniving prankster.
08:58A tricky thing for Nicker, because I think he was really relying on people not knowing who
09:03he was in there.
09:04But it turns out Stephen Fry loves YouTube.
09:06We're going to see him popping up in a Mr. Beast video.
09:09Can we just say, describing your memory as, I've got a sticky memory.
09:12Yeah, keep it clean, Stephen.
09:14Okay, mate.
09:17Brilliant.
09:17But yeah, Nico.
09:18I think he's going to really surprise us.
09:20I think he's going to be a really good faithful.
09:23When we first started speaking, just before we started watching the show, we was like,
09:28he's going to cause havoc.
09:29Because that's just who he is.
09:30But I think he's going to really surprise people, just for the fact of, he is where
09:35he is because he's super intelligent as well.
09:38He's mad intelligent.
09:39I don't think anybody should dumb that down just because he does pranks.
09:41But I think he's going to surprise people and be quite a good faithful, and get evidence
09:45and put it together.
09:46I think that's going to be a surprise.
09:49We'll see the true him, which will be nice to see.
09:51Yeah.
09:51Do you think he's coming across as trustworthy so far?
09:55Yeah, 100%.
09:56It's kind of weird seeing him not his energetic, pranky self, or trying to get something out
10:00of someone.
10:01I think the whole situation has taken him back, and now he knows he's not a traitor.
10:05He needs to be like, okay, I'm in this game now, to try and find out who it is.
10:09So we've got a few comedians in the group.
10:11We've got Lucy Beaumont, Joe Wilkinson, Nick Muhammad, and of course, Traitor Alan.
10:15Mina, do you think humour plays an important part in disarming people in there?
10:19Yeah, I think being funny, making people laugh in the hardest moments really helps you form
10:25those relationships.
10:28Nick is my favourite person ever.
10:30Yeah, he's lovely.
10:30When he was doing the mission, that little puzzle, it was the sexiest thing I've ever seen.
10:35He was just, he was working so, it was like, and then the key just appeared.
10:40I thought, I said to these two.
10:41Mina was blown away.
10:42That was the sexiest thing I've ever seen in my life.
10:46It's brilliant.
10:47Brilliant.
10:47Well, I'll let Nick know next time I see him.
10:51Also, the humour thing, right?
10:53You talk about the humour.
10:55Alan Carr, when he goes, all right, must have took her back to the Vegas days, pulling that
11:00lever like that, you know, and made everyone laugh.
11:02It's such a good way to cover up.
11:03Do you think that puts people off thinking you're a traitor?
11:06Yeah, 100%.
11:07And also, like, for us, it's good because we know how long you're there for and, like,
11:11you're connecting with people and the connections you build.
11:13Obviously, they might have connections that they built outside of it, which is different
11:16to us.
11:17But when you're in there and it's so intense and it's so high pressure on your shoulders
11:21and everyone's stressed, the people who make you laugh are the people you want there by
11:25side because they give you an escape of what's actually going on.
11:28And, okay, like, I don't have to stress for a bit or this pressure's gone because they're
11:32making me laugh.
11:33Yeah.
11:33So they're the people that people will want around them.
11:35So then that really helps being the funny one.
11:38There's loads of actors in the group, too.
11:41We've got Ruth, Tamika, Mark, Celia.
11:44Wilf, do you think the ability to mask your true thoughts and feelings is of use or is
11:49being genuine a bit more of an effective strategy?
11:52I just think trying to be as genuine as possible is going to go further.
11:55I remember Maddie.
11:57As soon as we found out she was an actress, we were like, yeah, she's acting the whole
12:00thing.
12:00Yeah, yeah.
12:01She's not a real person.
12:02Yeah.
12:02So I think if they try to become a character, like, they're going to know, aren't they?
12:06And I think it's just best trying to be as genuine as possible.
12:08Yeah.
12:08I think we had an actor, but she didn't know she was an actor.
12:11Charlotte, do you remember?
12:12She said she was Welsh and she wasn't.
12:14That's acting.
12:14That's acting.
12:16Let's go back to the start of the episode when the celebs were chauffeured up to the
12:19Traitor's Castle, but when they arrived, Claudia decided to do something a little bit different
12:23to kick things off.
12:25So players, good luck.
12:27It's time to save yourselves in three, two, one, dig.
12:38I was like a T-Rex or a kangaroo, but then I tipped forward and I was like that.
12:49Right, Celia, I'm going to help you first.
12:52Why?
12:53Nick, did you find your own shield?
12:54No.
12:55So shields in this game can be a help or a hindrance.
12:59Do they bring unwanted attention sometimes?
13:02Yeah, if you give it up like Charlotte did and now people think she's potentially a traitor
13:06because she, like, it's just insane.
13:09You're damned if you do, you're damned if you don't with this game.
13:12I would always try for a shield.
13:14Whether you're a traitor or a faithful, always try for a shield.
13:17It's just how you play it, isn't it?
13:19It can always be a double bluff, just like everything in this game.
13:22A shield can be the best thing, but also the worst thing, depending on how you play it.
13:26You know, if you give it up straight away, then all it takes is someone to say, well,
13:29that's odd.
13:30But if you win it, it's like, well, we need to go for it because I don't want to be murdered
13:34tonight.
13:34Also, six shields.
13:35I was going to say, when they said six shields, I was like, wow, that's a lot of shields.
13:38Six shields and then a murder in plain sight.
13:40So not only are you trying to find someone who's a murder in plain sight, you've got to have
13:43in your head that six of them you have to avoid.
13:46But one of them is a traitor.
13:48Yes, that's true.
13:49And Charlotte's gave hers back.
13:51So really, we're down to four now.
13:53Celia, by the way, I would be so scared of her if I was okay.
13:55No, same.
13:55Because I remember Nanny McPhee, right?
13:57That was like the scariest thing when I was growing up as a kid.
13:59I remember I used to have nightmares because she was the stepmum who was nasty stepmum.
14:03She's sort of like someone you want on your side because I feel like if she's got a hunch
14:06or she's going for someone, they're going down.
14:09So I would be best mates with her, 100%.
14:11Also, she's just got that rebellious quality where she will do the opposite of what everyone
14:15else does just because she feels like it, which is dangerous.
14:18Definitely.
14:19Harry, though, to your point, I don't know if I'd want to be friends with her.
14:22My bestie, Nick, was helping her dig up a shield.
14:25And then she was like, sus.
14:27They hadn't even got to the castle.
14:28But she was like, I don't trust him.
14:31I was like, wow, okay.
14:33Nick selflessly came to help me in my grave before he even looked for his shield.
14:40And I'm thinking, he's absolutely adorable.
14:44Or is he up to something?
14:47I just love him.
14:48We know what you think, Mina.
14:52I think he thought she deserves one for whatever reason.
14:55And so he thought, let me help you.
14:58But then I think in doing that, she's now got this thing in the back of her head where
15:02why have you done that?
15:03Why you and not the other people?
15:05Yeah.
15:05So sometimes being nice isn't...
15:08It doesn't work out.
15:08But then also it might.
15:09I think creating alliances is definitely what you need.
15:12I always say this.
15:13One of the best pieces of advice is going into the trade is you have to trust someone.
15:17Just hopefully not the wrong person.
15:18Because building alliances is what you need.
15:20Because if you're there alone, when you have thoughts of who it is, there's no one to back you.
15:25There's no one to jump on your bandwagon.
15:27But also if you come under fire, if you have no team around you, you're a goner.
15:31The strategy when we went in was we've seen groups forming.
15:34It was just like murder someone from the group.
15:36Like just get rid of the alliances.
15:38If you're faithfuls and the traitors are watching you create this alliance, they're like,
15:41I'll just break it up.
15:42Yeah, yeah.
15:42Do you know what I mean?
15:43Just get rid of it.
15:44I think the added complication of the celebrity traitors is a lot of the players know each
15:49other already.
15:50Mina, do you think this is going to make things harder for the traitors?
15:54100%.
15:54If you already know somebody, I think in your head you're like, I'll know when they act
16:00different.
16:00So you're going to second guess people.
16:02And I think the faithful will actually knock each other out without realising because of
16:07that.
16:08I mean, one thing it does rule out is any secret relationships that are going to be revealed.
16:11You say that.
16:12If it turns out Alan Carr's Stephen Fry's son.
16:15That would be amazing.
16:17No matter that.
16:17I think it'd be, I'd just murder my closest allies straight away.
16:22If I was a traitor and I was friends with people in there, get rid of them.
16:25Can I move couches?
16:26No, no, no.
16:27Like you would because then it just takes people up.
16:31Would he really just get rid of his really good friend?
16:33See, I'm against it.
16:34You guys are so different from me.
16:36I know.
16:36I just because I think like.
16:37I'm like, I'm just saying though, like that when that's when you, when you leave people
16:44in who are random, that's when they start throwing out random accusations.
16:47And if they don't know you, they're just, they could wake up one day and go, oh, I think
16:50it's him and create a lie about you.
16:52And then it's like, well, if you have someone in there who knows you, it's like, you know,
16:55I wouldn't do that to you.
16:55You know, like we can work together through this.
16:57So if you have friends in there, I would keep them close, but keep your enemies closer.
17:01But like, I would keep my friends in there for a bit because it's so early on.
17:04Just get rid of people who are random, who you don't really have a connection to.
17:07because they won't try and notice the change.
17:10Now, Jonathan Ross is obviously a very famous interviewer and broadcaster.
17:15Do you think, Wilf, that his interview skills and his listening skills are going to help
17:18him in the game?
17:19I think he, that's what he did say.
17:20He did say that as well, didn't he?
17:21That when you're interviewing people, it's a lot of listening, right?
17:25But will he share that information with the others?
17:27That's what makes me think is going to be his strength is being able to take, extract things
17:33from people like you do when you interview.
17:35But is he going to share that with the other traders?
17:37If he gets bits of knowledge here that they're looking at, maybe Cat Burns, someone mentions
17:41her and he gets that out of someone.
17:43Does he go back to the traitor and tell them?
17:44I'm not sure he will.
17:46Alan said that he'd have no problem backstabbing people, even, you know, people that he knows
17:51obviously in there.
17:52Is it difficult, Harry, to remove emotion from the gameplay?
17:56Not really.
17:56It's a game.
17:57The game's a game.
17:58They're all there for a reason and that's to play the game.
18:00For us, it would have been a lot easier, don't get me wrong, because we didn't actually
18:03know each other.
18:04Yes.
18:04So it was very easy to take the emotion away from it because it's like, I've known these
18:08people for however long we've been playing the game when there's people at home who love
18:11me, you know, like I'm here for them.
18:12I personally found it quite hard as the weeks got on to remove the emotion from it because
18:18as much as Harry, heartless Harry over here, saying, I've got people at home, these people
18:23mean nothing to me.
18:24Those people became my family.
18:25So then it got a bit harder to kind of separate the game and the emotions.
18:30Then also, you don't know how they feel because Claudia has so much aura about her and sets
18:34the scene.
18:34They're like, for us, it's like when you go there, oh, this is cool.
18:37It's like TV show, whatever.
18:38And then as soon as she walks into the room, it's like, oh, it's actually going down.
18:41And I think that's what's going to happen to them.
18:43Obviously, we've just seen episode one and they think this is a bit of a laugh, like we're
18:46on the traitors, blah, blah, blah.
18:47As soon as someone's murdered, someone gets banished and they have their first round
18:51table, that will all change.
18:52It gets so good.
18:53Stop it.
18:54That's the thing that Claudia brings to the game.
18:57That's when you're going to see the real switch.
18:59Yeah, yeah.
18:59That's when we're here after episode one.
19:02We've seen a lot, but we haven't seen enough.
19:04So when the first round table happens, the first breakfast, the pretend, Alan Carr pretending
19:08he hasn't murdered someone, it's going to be amazing.
19:12But that part is where you're really going to be able to go, actually, Alan's great or
19:17Alan's bad or this or that.
19:19That's where you're going to be able to do it.
19:20From the first breakfast, it's going to be the first sort of sign of how they're going
19:23to go.
19:23So at the end of tonight's episode, the traitors were tasked with murdering their first faithful,
19:28but with a twist.
19:29It had to be in plain sight.
19:31Oh, no.
19:35Oh, God.
19:38What is this?
19:44Traitors.
19:46Tonight, you must murder in plain sight.
19:49To do this, you must find the poisoned black lily somewhere in the castle.
19:54You must find this deadly flower.
19:59Rub your hands with the poisoned pollen and touch the face of the faithful you want to
20:06murder.
20:07Will Van Harry, you were both involved in murders in plain sight.
20:10What's going to be going through their heads as they build up to do this?
20:13Ours was a kiss of death.
20:15So, and ours was like in the middle of the series, I think.
20:18So for me, it was like, I've not kissed one person.
20:21So all of a sudden, I'm going to kiss someone.
20:23It's not for me.
20:24So me and Amanda were like, look, you do it.
20:26It's just more, if I do it, it's a bit more suss.
20:28And I don't want the responsibility of doing it.
20:31So, yeah, I just pushed it on to Amanda.
20:34Amanda, murder, deimos.
20:35And that was it, mate.
20:36The funniest thing about it all, though, is that we, for example, understand the paranoia.
20:41It's actually like, because you think everyone knows what's going on.
20:43Yeah, but they don't.
20:44As soon as you walk in, you see that letter.
20:45Like Alan did, it's like, oh, gosh, what's going on here?
20:48And then when they come out, I can only imagine how they're feeling.
20:51Like you're so paranoid that everyone knows what you're up to.
20:53That's why they're pacing up and down.
20:55But actually, someone seeing you is like, they're just seeing you like normal.
20:58But you don't see it from that point of view.
21:00They are getting harder as well.
21:01Yeah, yeah.
21:02I think you're touching someone's face.
21:03How do you even build up to that?
21:05It's like, you go up to Celia Emery and go, got your nose.
21:07Yeah.
21:08That's a good idea, though.
21:09Because no one would think that's a bit weird.
21:11Until she loses her nose.
21:11They would definitely think that was weird.
21:14Yeah.
21:14Or just go up to Claire Bordy and go, boop.
21:17It's a really hard one.
21:18Yeah, it's a difficult one.
21:19Like I said earlier, I do think they have got lucky that it's right at the start of the game.
21:24Even though there's so many people in the castle, it's like for Alan, for example, he's doing it now.
21:30So he's sort of taking the hit now.
21:31And it makes sense, like we've said, like he would be the one out of all three to do something like that.
21:36And because he's doing it so early on, that could help him in the future.
21:40Because he can then say to the other two, I've done my bit.
21:42Now it's down to you two.
21:43And it's only going to get harder from here.
21:45Do you think the decision is going to be impacted by who Alan knows?
21:50Because obviously there are relationships within the castle.
21:52This is obviously, it has to be a crime of opportunity, doesn't it?
21:55Yeah, I think this is the time where Wilf's killing your friends thing makes sense.
22:00Because that's the only person that I think you can get away with this so early towards.
22:04So it's going to have to be, whether he wants you or not, somebody that he knows.
22:08Somebody that he's met before or worked with or interviewed.
22:10And it's just going to have to be them.
22:11That's it.
22:12But also, shout out to Jonathan as well, because he didn't just let him do it.
22:16You know, Pat sort of took her back.
22:17He went and took the lid off and stuff.
22:19And that was perfect, because again, he's not doing too much, but not doing too little.
22:23So he's freed up the opportunity for him to go in and rub a leaf.
22:26But again, if someone saw you doing that, you'd have to spend the rest of the time in the castle just rubbing everything.
22:32That's what I'm saying.
22:33So shout out to Jonathan, because he got everyone out of the way.
22:35He even opened the lid.
22:37So he set the pathway for him to do it, instead of just being like, you've got to do it.
22:41Yeah, he was helpful.
22:41I never thought this morning when I woke up that I would come here and be talking about Alan Carr touching other celebrities' faces.
22:48That is just such a random.
22:49That's the traitors for you.
22:50Let's talk about the mission.
22:52It was epic in its scale, as you might expect from the traitors.
22:55But it wasn't able to pass without causing some drama.
22:58Well, we can start trying.
23:02Mercutius.
23:04Timbal.
23:06No.
23:06Oh, shit.
23:07I've locked it in and I didn't mean to.
23:10No.
23:11Why?
23:12Why did...
23:13I didn't realise I locked it in.
23:14Sorry.
23:15I thought, oh, we can guess lots of numbers.
23:18So while they're working that out, I'll just stick a number in.
23:21I think it was like a combination lock and you can start trying lots of numbers.
23:24Anyway, that was it because the lever didn't go back up again.
23:28I feel so sorry.
23:30I feel so bad for her.
23:32I mean, it's very...
23:33This is a TV exclusive.
23:34Claire Balding doing something wrong.
23:35Oh, honestly.
23:38So Tom Daly, Joe Muller and Claire Balding, obviously all from the world of sport, deeply competitive people.
23:44Harry, is competitiveness something that you think you need in the game?
23:47Definitely.
23:47I think it's something you need in life.
23:50You should want to go there and want to win.
23:51And obviously them being athletes and like world-class athletes as well and Olympian is what's going to make them really competitive and want to win.
23:59That also brings in the teamwork too.
24:01And like you've seen in that mission, they all took a lead in a certain different type of role in that mission.
24:06And again, that's going to help because Tom Daly, for example, being a faithful, you know, any of them being...
24:11They're all faithfuls.
24:12And that will help because as a traitor, if you see that, Tom Daly running all the way back to...
24:16If I'm a traitor, I can't be asked to do that.
24:19So I'm going to keep him in so he can do that every mission.
24:21Yeah.
24:22Early on through the missions, the only way to save yourself is to be the best at the missions.
24:26That's how people feel at the beginning.
24:28Later on, different.
24:29But at the beginning, I think showing yourself...
24:30Do you think it puts you in the spotlight a bit though as well, being competitive?
24:33I think being a bit too competitive as Claire displays in that mission is also the downfall of some people.
24:39Yeah, it stressed me out.
24:40She was obviously so, like, excited and desperate for the team to get to the end of that mission
24:46that she didn't even read the little plaque that was in front of her.
24:49She pulled that, which locked in the answer, which then meant somebody had to sacrifice a shield for them to proceed.
24:56Automatically, people are like, that's traitor behavior.
24:58And it was so innocent because she was doing it to help.
25:01But I think she was just too competitive in that moment.
25:04It's like that whole, again, are you doing too much?
25:07The whole way through the threat is whether it's about being a traitor, being a faithful, being competitive, trying to take the lead.
25:12You've got to find that perfect balance.
25:14And it's the same with the competitiveness.
25:16If you're doing too much, people realize that and use it against you.
25:18If you're doing too little, you're not doing enough.
25:20Wilf, do you think this could be a problem for her?
25:22Yes.
25:23We call it invisible biscuits in my life.
25:27People look for...
25:29So basically, people are looking for crumbs of evidence that don't actually exist, right?
25:33So it doesn't exist.
25:34There is no evidence at the beginning of the game, really.
25:37So any little thing that happens, people jump on it and it becomes that herd mentality thing.
25:43So someone will go, oh, yeah, Claire did it.
25:44Yeah, yeah, yeah.
25:45Because they've got no other evidence on anything else.
25:47So they will just go on whatever they can possibly find.
25:50Do you mind if we use invisible biscuits on Cloak moving forward?
25:53We can use that, yeah.
25:54So, look, this is a big question so early on.
25:56But do we have any predictions on who might make the final?
26:00Harry, let's start with you.
26:01I'm going against the grain.
26:02My man, Alan Carr.
26:03Yeah.
26:04Yeah, I just think he's going to be so bad, he's good and great.
26:07And I will happily pass him the crown if he does it.
26:10What about you, Mina?
26:10I think Tom Daly.
26:12I think Tom's going to get recruited as a traitor.
26:15Well, I hope he does because I think he would be really good at transitioning from faithful to traitor,
26:21like Charlotte last year.
26:22I think Carr's going to make it to the final.
26:25I think my boy Nick's going to make it to the final.
26:30Are you saying traitors or faithful?
26:31Oh, traitors every day.
26:32Yeah.
26:33What about you, Welf?
26:34Who do you think is going to make the final?
26:35Nick.
26:36I think he's got, he seems like he's got a really calm, nice persona.
26:39And he'll be really good at missions.
26:41It seems he's got quite a high IQ.
26:43But that's not known to everybody, apart from doing that puzzle.
26:47But everybody's threatened by Stephen Fry because he's mad intelligent.
26:51Does anyone else think that Stephen Fry is coming across like a teenage goth?
26:56I'll see what you mean.
26:57Because in the car, everything he says is just, I know the game's about death, but like they're in the car.
27:02They're like, oh, it's so impressive.
27:04Oh, look, the castle.
27:05And then he went, but what awaits us is a blizzard of horror.
27:11And then they're looking at the portraits being like, oh, I'm so excited to be here.
27:14It's like, it's a pity they'll all be covered in red glasses soon.
27:17Yes.
27:17He is basically the right in the show as we go along.
27:20He really is.
27:21He's very good at that.
27:22Picking up books off the shelf going, diseases of the chest.
27:26And the thing is, they went back from the mission.
27:29Everyone's looking for traitors.
27:30And he's like, I want to see how many people died in Hamlet.
27:32Yes.
27:33Yeah, he was not sleeping until he knew that.
27:35Well, we've run out of time here, but don't worry.
27:38The chat will continue on BBC Sounds in our extra bonus episode.
27:42We're going to learn more about post-castle life with Mina, Harry and Wilf.
27:45And the three of them will also be temporarily taking over traitor duties.
27:49And we'll decide who to befriend, who to kill and who to recruit.
27:53It's all in the bonus episode of the Celebrity Traitors Uncloaked in your BBC Sounds app right now.
