00:00Normal people doomscroll TikTok all day, but we doomscroll eBay where we find cool things
00:04like this Asus Tower.
00:07This is an Asus ROG gaming PC we bought for $258.
00:10It's not a normal desktop, it's a small form factor build and they released in 2016.
00:14Is $258 a good price for it though?
00:16We're unboxing and find out after a word from today's sponsor.
00:19Who already got?
00:21Jackson, are you good?
00:23No, I just lost this entire week's worth of footage.
00:26Isn't there some sort of recovery program?
00:28A what?
00:29Oh, you mean Wondershare's Recoverit software, today's sponsor.
00:32Recoverit is the all-in-one data recovery tool that we've used tons of times here at the
00:36office when footage is lost or corrupts.
00:38Recoverit supports storage recovery from all devices, over 2,000 to be more specific, and
00:42as well as over 1,000 file formats.
00:44This software can recover files and data from formatting issues, file corruption, or just
00:48deleted files quickly and easily.
00:50The files that you do recover are also brought back in their complete original format too.
00:53On top of that, it's super easy to install and try out Recoverit.
00:56Just download and install the software, insert and select the drive that you want to recover
00:59from.
01:00Then once it's loaded, Wondershare's Recoverit software will show you the files you can take
01:03back.
01:04And then let the software work its magic.
01:05To try out Wondershare's Recoverit for free today, check out those links in the description
01:08down below.
01:09Big thanks for Wondershare for sponsoring today's video.
01:11Now, let's get back to it.
01:12Yeah, if you're new to the channel, we have this knife, it's very big for unboxings.
01:15Maybe we need to get like a little grinder for it, you know, let's get it really sharp.
01:18Yeah, so it's like actually dangerous to use.
01:20But what we have right here is an ASUS pre-built, more specifically, I'll pull up the model name
01:24here.
01:25This is specifically an ASUS ROG G20CB gaming PC with an i7-6700, GTX 1070, 16 gigs of DDR4
01:33memory, and the storage is to be determined.
01:35The listing says in the description that it has an SSD and a hard drive.
01:40I know you're not absorbing anything I'm saying right now because what he's doing is more
01:43important.
01:44It is.
01:45But we don't know the storage situation.
01:47Simply put.
01:48But this thing is kind of crazy looking for the time.
01:50Yeah, it kind of reminds me of like, kind of like an Xbox, you know, in a way.
01:53But honestly, more gamer looking because it's got cool colors and stuff.
01:57And it's ASUS ROG.
01:58And normally when you think of ASUS ROG, you don't really buy stuff that is, well, like this
02:01for this cheap.
02:02No, I mean, ASUS ROG is, they're kind of like Alienware when you think about it.
02:05What?
02:06Oh, so it has an external power brick?
02:07Is that what this is?
02:08Yeah, with like a stand?
02:09What the heck?
02:10What the hell?
02:11Okay, so first things first.
02:13Big app.
02:14Oh, is this what I think it is?
02:15Oh, dude, it's a dual.
02:16Oh my gosh.
02:17Oh my gosh.
02:18It uses two power adapters.
02:20This is two laptop power bricks that are different sizes.
02:25But why is it?
02:26Is one for like the GP?
02:28I bet one's for the GPU and one's for the rest of the system.
02:31That's insane.
02:32That is the freakiest thing.
02:34This is like, didn't Lioness do that thing where they got like an old laptop that needed
02:38two bricks?
02:39Well, we've had them before.
02:40I remember getting one from Computer Upgrade King a few years ago that used two power bricks.
02:44I'd say a couple years ago.
02:45That would have been 2015, 2016.
02:47I'm surprised that they did that for a PC like this, a somewhat compact computer.
02:52I would say it's more like, yeah, Xbox size is a good way to describe it.
02:55Man, we need to find out.
02:56I'll do a little bit of research.
02:57I bet this thing was more than I, I was thinking maybe like a little over a thousand when it
03:01was new.
03:02But with this and this level of like gamer, I bet this thing was close to like two grand.
03:06Well, when you initially look it up, a Lioness video pops up as the first video.
03:09So our old man Lioness was back then.
03:11Yeah.
03:12I'm doing a video on it.
03:13His Lioness Tech Tips doesn't cut the cheap stuff.
03:15Okay.
03:16Can I get this Saran Wrap on it?
03:18Wow.
03:19That looks really cool.
03:20It's actually in pretty decent shape.
03:22I don't think I've ever seen one of these before.
03:23Like I don't think I knew that these existed.
03:25So when I was looking at this, it took me a while to go through our old videos to make
03:29sure we didn't see one of these before, because I remember wanting to buy one at some point,
03:34but something happened and I never made a video on it.
03:35But then when this popped up, I was like, I feel like we had one, but no, we have not
03:38bought one.
03:39And hopefully you guys will find a video.
03:40Yeah.
03:41I don't recognize this like at all.
03:42This is alien technology for me.
03:43Um, so, I mean, look at the front like IO even, it almost seems like it'd be hard to
03:47get to because of like how deep the ports are in there.
03:51It's kind of weird.
03:52Yeah.
03:53A little bit of ventilation up top.
03:55The back is interesting.
03:56I mean, it seems like it's got a decent, it reminds me of an OptiPlex.
04:00It's like a decent port selection, but not a ton.
04:02Those are two power plugs.
04:03Yeah, there are.
04:04So there are two power plugs.
04:05Different sizes.
04:06So one of them, they're about to say DCN.
04:07Um, I wanted to see what the bricks were, but they're facing each other and you have to
04:11get screws out.
04:12Okay.
04:13But if we have time, we'll do that.
04:14Yeah, we'll check that.
04:15Um, full size 1070.
04:16So that's slotted.
04:17We should be able to take that out if we wanted to.
04:18Yep.
04:19I'm guessing it is missing the top of the bracket though, because I don't know where it would be.
04:22Yeah, it's probably a modified card.
04:23So some like blower style modified one for this system.
04:26Yeah.
04:27And how do you open this thing?
04:28That's a good question.
04:29There's a security seal.
04:30A factory seal?
04:31There's no way.
04:32Oh, you see the screw there?
04:33Oh, okay.
04:34Do those screws open it?
04:35Let's do it.
04:36I don't know.
04:37I only see one screw.
04:38Also shout out to 2016.
04:39This is a OnePlus sticker.
04:40If you guys know OnePlus, the phone company, that was very popular in 2016.
04:44So some mega nerd had this PC back in the day.
04:47Okay.
04:48So there's one screw.
04:50Um, is there possibly another one underneath this?
04:53Yeah, I don't see one.
04:54Okay.
04:55Let's um, is there one on top?
04:56Could be.
04:57Maybe.
04:58I would assume it opens easier than that, but I could be wrong.
05:01Oh wait, the sticker's like actually kind of...
05:02No way.
05:03It's being held by sticker.
05:04It doesn't feel like it moves.
05:06Okay.
05:07Maybe it is harder to open than we thought.
05:09Maybe.
05:10Your warranty is void.
05:11Ugh.
05:12How are we gonna get this thing already made?
05:14There's another screw.
05:15Oh.
05:16Ah, okay.
05:17Okay.
05:18So that top piece comes off.
05:19Oh look, here's a heat sink.
05:21I'm getting the vibe this one has never been opened.
05:23There it is.
05:24Big slide.
05:25I didn't even look like you tried that hard.
05:26Okay.
05:27Oh yeah, this thing has not been opened.
05:28Oh, so it's a Founders 1070.
05:29Ooh.
05:30That's kinda cool.
05:31I love to see that.
05:32Look at the...
05:33I love to see...
05:34You can see the dust build up in the Founders cards.
05:35Oh, this one's gonna def need a take out, blow out situation.
05:38Yeah.
05:39Um, okay, so we got an extra SATA here.
05:42Um, it's interesting though because it almost doesn't look like you could fit a two and
05:46a half inch SSD anywhere in this area, does it?
05:48No, it doesn't.
05:49I wonder if they had weird expansion.
05:50Well, the SATA has a hard drive in it too, potentially.
05:53So it has to be somewhere underneath here.
05:55Yeah, let's um...
05:56Let's just keep going, I guess.
05:57So here's how the front panel comes off.
05:59We're gonna tear this thing down before we even see if it works in typical Toasty Rose fashion.
06:03Yeah, we're gonna break it.
06:04I don't even really know if we need to take this front off.
06:06I'm just like, at this point I'm just like, I can't see anything.
06:09So my mind says just take it all off.
06:11When you can't see, you take it all off.
06:13Let it slip a few times so you're rounding the screw head out.
06:15Fun little mechanic tip for you.
06:17Mess it up as much as you can and then take it somewhere to have someone help you.
06:20I like that.
06:21Don't ever take help if you don't know what you're doing.
06:23Just looking at this teardown, how long is this teardown?
06:2635 minutes.
06:27Well, he doesn't know what he's doing like us.
06:28He doesn't know what he's doing like us.
06:29Okay, so we just disconnected, by the way, the RGB.
06:31Okay, I see.
06:32We need to, so here's, look, we got a vertical.
06:34We got a right angle adapter.
06:36Oh God.
06:37Up, up and away.
06:38Oh, there's our spinning rust right there, ladies and gentlemen.
06:42When was that thing made?
06:44It was made in?
06:46Right when it sold.
06:47Oh wow, yeah, 2016.
06:48All right, so new at the time.
06:50Yeah, this is totally standard.
06:52I mean, if you look here, GTX 1070.
06:54It's such a good card, such a good card.
06:56I love to see that.
06:57It's cool.
06:58So everything, obviously, you would think is pretty proprietary.
07:00I mean, look at this board.
07:01Like, it's a very custom sized board.
07:03But the connectors look, this is the GPU power.
07:06So it's coming off the board itself.
07:07So the power supply, obviously, with the power bricks,
07:09that's where the power's coming in.
07:10Then the board itself is feeding power.
07:11It's a little weird.
07:12You have an eight pin and like a six pin that combine, I guess?
07:17Oh, we know that goes somewhere else.
07:18Okay.
07:19That is weird.
07:20Now, the thing is that I've already planned ahead of time,
07:23is if there is only a hard drive in here, we will test it first.
07:25Make sure it works.
07:26We'll just put this back in, make sure it works real quick.
07:28But I do want to put an SSD in here.
07:30We're in an era where I'm just not dealing with hard drives.
07:32I feel like I've talked about this in multiple videos.
07:34I'm just not dealing with a hard drive anymore.
07:35If it's only a hard drive, it is not worth it.
07:38It's not worth it.
07:39It's worth the extra.
07:40I think we have a 512, one of those like 20 bucks now on Amazon.
07:44It makes the usability so much better.
07:46Yeah, I'm curious.
07:47So the last thing I'm doing here is I kind of want to see what's
07:49underneath these dual coolers.
07:51I'm assuming it's just like one heat sink on our i7, which I wonder if it's socketed.
07:56You would think it probably is.
07:58I think it is.
07:59Which kind of sucks.
08:00It is socketed though.
08:01I can see that.
08:02Yeah.
08:03Oh, look at that dust.
08:06I'm going to put this off to the side.
08:08Yeah, that's...
08:09Oh my god.
08:10Ooh, yeah, man.
08:11We need to do a RAM upgrade.
08:12Ooh.
08:13Oh, we have single channel too.
08:14Okay.
08:15Wow, is this...
08:16That's...
08:17Wow.
08:18I know.
08:19Oh my god.
08:20That's somebody's desk in cells.
08:21Who knows what this has seen?
08:22Yeah, it's kind of gross.
08:23Oh god, the katana.
08:24I got so dim too.
08:25So dim RAM.
08:26Yeah, disk drive, so dim.
08:27What's...
08:28Oh, it's a 16 gig stick, but it's 2133p.
08:29We probably have some of that, actually.
08:30I know we have some of that.
08:31Okay, we can do that.
08:32Yeah, socket, CPU, so we could redo thermal paste, we could add more RAM, and then...
08:37Seriously?
08:38So we don't think there's SSD in this, do we?
08:39The listing...
08:40But it was one of those where you punch in a model name, and then it automatically fills
08:44the stuff on eBay.
08:45I think they just did that, and it said SSD plus hard drive.
08:48Because there is a picture on there that just shows that there's one drive in the system
08:51on the listing, and it's like a Toshiba drive, so...
08:54I mean, there's one...
08:55If you want me to...
08:56Yeah, we should just keep checking.
08:57Let me see if I can slide this out.
08:59Okay, we're getting somewhere.
09:00Hopefully, I can do this without taking the cooler off.
09:02Oh, I see we have a LAN chip.
09:03Oh, we have a...
09:04Is that an NVMe slot, though?
09:05Or Wi-Fi.
09:06Ooh, it is, isn't it?
09:07Yes.
09:08Yeah, look, M.2.
09:09I was gonna say, because it really...
09:10We just have to rip the hard drive out and put a two and a half inch...
09:12This way, we could fit more on there.
09:13That's true.
09:14Okay.
09:15So we could do...
09:16Oh, yeah, and since Matt bought a one terabyte that I think I accidentally stole
09:19for PC Bros, and then someone built a PC with it, so you could have a one terabyte
09:22again.
09:23Is there any way we could get it back to where we could test it in its original state to make sure
09:26it works?
09:27I don't think I'll even put this thing back together now.
09:30So this is the end of the video.
09:31We hope you guys enjoyed.
09:32Don't forget to check out our...
09:33Roll the credits!
09:34No, I think, yeah, let's just throw the GPU back in.
09:36And then just make sure it posts with the pornator.
09:39I don't even think we need to have the cooling hook back on.
09:42This thing's definitely never been opened.
09:44It is crusty, isn't it?
09:45Yeah, which is kind of cool.
09:46I like that.
09:47You guys see this picture that Zach took of him taking the...
09:48Oh my god, dude.
09:49It's not what it looks like.
09:50It's bad.
09:51It's on that camera, by the way, so you can probably see it.
09:53I don't really like that I'm going to put that on myself, but alright, that's in.
09:56Alright, we just want to see if this posts...
09:58It's kind of the end goal here.
10:00And then, I guess, plug up our two adapters.
10:03Yes.
10:04Okay, it's so funny that they're different adapters, too.
10:07Like, they couldn't even give us the same one.
10:08It feels like just an extra point of failure for no reason, but...
10:12Yeah, that sucks if one of them starts going bad.
10:14I wonder what happens.
10:15I don't know.
10:16But that has to be why they do that.
10:17One has to be to power that GPU, because, I mean, I think the 1070 is probably, what,
10:21a couple hundred watts?
10:22Yeah, I would think so.
10:23It's a lot.
10:24The 1070, I think back then, was 180, 190 watts, something like that or what?
10:29And then that CPU probably pulls, what, 65 to 95?
10:32Yeah, it's going to boost.
10:33At least.
10:34We can make this.
10:35I'll put it over here.
10:36There's another one.
10:37There's another one.
10:38Imagine all the people at home who have the wall outlet.
10:40You have to buy a power brick for this.
10:41You can't have your monitor plugged in.
10:42That's nuts.
10:43Uh...
10:44I need to see.
10:45I need to see.
10:46See?
10:47Not on that.
10:48Yeah, there's none on this.
10:49Not from that area.
10:50Can we find the power button?
10:51Hmm.
10:54Look at that.
10:55Oh!
10:56Sounds kind of like a spaceship.
10:57Yeah, there's some dust flying around.
10:58I don't really want to set it on it and just watch it fly.
11:01You think I can grab it?
11:04No, I'm kind of scared.
11:05It actually feels like it'll hurt.
11:06It's a boot loop.
11:07I mean, nobody took care of this thing.
11:11It's a poor system.
11:12Just left it out to die.
11:14Alright, that's a good...
11:15That's one of the quick boot loops.
11:16This is just what we were looking for.
11:19Yup.
11:20Yup.
11:21Yup, there we go.
11:22Aids us in search of incredible...
11:23Let's see what it boots to.
11:24It's going to take like 20 years to boot, by the way, because it's a hard drive.
11:27So, pricing.
11:28We did a little price check on when this thing launched.
11:30And this model, we think, based on our research, was around $1599 with the 1070 and i7-6700.
11:35Adjusted for inflation, that's $2200 in today's money, which is pretty crazy.
11:39But then there was a 1080 model that sold for $3100, which is crazy for that era.
11:45But to be fair, back then, the 1070 and 1080, they were the top dogs for the 1080 Ti came out in 2016.
11:51They were the god tier GPUs.
11:53And I mean, they still are pretty awesome, even though they lost driver support.
11:56But that's still crazy to think how much this was, and now we paid $250 for it to show up here.
12:00It's crazy.
12:01Like, I know the 1080 was not that much more than the 1070, so they had that dealer markup.
12:06Do this hard drive.
12:07I just hit enter to sign in, and it's...
12:12Oh, there's a password?
12:14Maybe it's just enter.
12:15Or it's probably password or enter or something, you know?
12:18Can we hack the mainframe?
12:19I'm gonna try enter first.
12:20You gotta wait 10 minutes.
12:23Nope.
12:24Oh, this is bad.
12:28Nope.
12:29One, two, three.
12:30Hint, zero four times.
12:32Oh, look at this.
12:33Look.
12:34It's like a placard to tell you what your specs are.
12:38You can just pull it out.
12:39Okay, so I guess this is the install.
12:42It has itself on the background, which is just glorious, by the way.
12:47You can tell this is the original install.
12:49It's pretty...
12:50Oh, I just hit the Windows key.
12:51Ah, yes.
12:52I love my fresh paint.
12:53What is that?
12:54Is it like a paint?
12:55Microsoft Paint?
12:56Let's game...
12:57So this is Windows 10, isn't it?
12:58This is.
12:59What is going on down here?
13:01There should not be this many...
13:02Yo, this shortcut.
13:03Like, so many games popping up.
13:04God, I hate hard drives with a passion, bro.
13:07It's just...
13:08I just remember the whole...
13:09Back in the day, you were like, yeah, you know, you could turn your computer around the
13:12morning, you could walk and make your coffee, you know, you could do everything, and then
13:15you'll be in your email.
13:16It's crazy, because I don't remember hard drives being bad back then, you know?
13:19But I guess we were just used to them.
13:21I think part of it was if you had a fresh hard drive for a little bit, it was fine, and
13:24then they would just, like, fall off a cliff.
13:26Okay, this is just not going to load.
13:28That's fine.
13:29Maybe I could get Task Manager real quick just to make sure we got everything that we
13:32said we're supposed to get.
13:33I went in for...
13:34There's always this one guy who comments on our videos.
13:36He's a loyal viewer, but he's always like, you won't talk too bad about hard drives.
13:40This is insane.
13:41Okay.
13:42Look, here's our bottleneck.
13:44Oh, that's what's the problem.
13:46Ah.
13:47McAfee.
13:48All right, let's just verify the specs here.
13:51All right, so we got the 6700.
13:52We got the 16 gigs.
13:54Single.
13:55Yep, single, which will hold us back a little bit, but we can do some upgrades.
13:58Here's old hard drive, 100% baby, and our 1070.
14:03So, I guess order of operations, should we just go ahead and do the cleaning and...
14:09I would vote.
14:10I know sometimes we'll test pieces.
14:12A lot of times we test them, like, how they are now.
14:14I think this thing's too cool.
14:16I don't think most people should just buy this and just leave it as easy.
14:19No, we should just make it the way we want it to be.
14:20Yeah.
14:21So, do you want to see if we have RAM.
14:22Let's do the SSD.
14:24Add that NVMe drive.
14:25New thermal paste.
14:26Do we want to get rid of the hard drive or just leave it in there?
14:28We can leave it in there.
14:29Leave it in there.
14:30Do an NVMe.
14:31Yeah.
14:32New thermal paste on the CPU, and maybe if we're feeling really bold, we could just go ahead
14:35and...
14:36We'll check out the GPU and see what we think.
14:37Yeah.
14:38And then a deep cleaning.
14:39Let's see what it looks like.
14:40Yeah.
14:41Let's get it.
14:42Let's get it.
14:43Yeah.
14:47Okay.
14:48Let's get it.
14:49Can's off the CPU.
14:50Let's wrap these videos some Tisch.
14:51adopting the CPU for now.
14:52Please put theулICH vsh aforesky.
14:54We'll go ahead and pronounce the CPU.
14:56Insertes and NuME.
14:57Can't, what?
14:58Like you?
14:59Let's wrap the CPU to the CPU.
15:01That's why we're outside the CPU for now.
15:01Make it accessible.
15:02In on the CPU.
15:33Guys, we just got this thing hecka clean, and Matt and I did some really good upgrades.
15:47We added a one terabyte PNY NVMe.
15:50We added some new thermal paste for the CPU.
15:53We added another 8 gig stick of Sodim 2133 DDR4, which brings us up to 24 gigs of dual channel
16:00RAM now.
16:01Overall, just doing some eBay estimates.
16:02Again, we pulled this stuff from PC Bears, our PC selling business.
16:05We're about $303 fully invested into this computer now, counting the 258 we already paid.
16:11So again, we're not spending that much more money, and the quality of life of this system
16:13is going to be so much better.
16:15I mean, you saw how unusable it was with the hard drive, that SSD is going to be great.
16:18And then when we have more RAM, we'll have dual channel to get maximum performance.
16:22So let's get everything fully put back together.
16:24Hopefully it still works with the new RAM and everything.
16:26And then from there, we'll get to benchmarking.
16:27So I'll scratch that real quick.
16:29We are having 20 gigs of RAM in this system now.
16:32We were only able to get a 4 gig stick to work because the 8 that we had just didn't
16:36work.
16:37Now we'll get to benchmarking.
16:38Alright guys, we got this PC all cleaned up, and now we're in some CS2.
16:43Currently running the following settings.
16:45We're on 1080p low.
16:47But again, CS2, not going to be super demanding, but a realistic test for what you should expect
16:52to be able to play on a $300 PC.
16:55And hopefully I can get some kills with the op.
16:57My sensitivity feels way off.
16:59I don't know if my sensitivity is messed with or what, but we're getting decent FPS.
17:03I mean, that 6700 is definitely getting a bit old, especially with CS2's new engine compared
17:09to normal Counter-Strike.
17:10But at least it's a 4 car 8th ride, which makes it much more usable in 2025.
17:14But I wouldn't expect beyond this it being an amazing option.
17:20And any GPU upgrade we would do would be held back by the CPU anyways.
17:23So I really think this is just a cool, hey, we refurbished a PC that we got for a really
17:27good price.
17:28I think the performance is still good for the price.
17:30But upgrade-wise, not a ton we can do because we're kind of on a dead platform at this point.
17:35Temperatures seem to be in check.
17:38They're fine.
17:39We're not really pushing everything to 100% yet.
17:41So we'll see what that's like when Jackson plays some Call of Duty Warzone, which will be
17:44quite demanding on this PC.
17:45I'm not 100% sure how well that's going to go.
17:48But we're going to give Warzone a shot, see what it can do, and we'll see if we have any
17:51major throttling issues.
17:53But so far, looking pretty good.
17:56Let's get a little montage going in, and then we will move on to some Warzone.
18:00And apparently all the bots are me because I can't hit the guy.
18:04Oh, hello.
18:05Oh, the one real player killed me.
18:11Oh, nope, they got me.
18:15Again, the frame times did smooth out a little bit more as I've played the game.
18:19Pretty solid.
18:20I would say it's a playable experience.
18:21Is it really comp ready?
18:23Not necessarily.
18:24But it is good enough to where I would give it the pass if I was just trying to casually
18:27play some CS2.
18:28Now let's try a more demanding FPS game.
18:30We'll Call of Duty Warzone and see what this 1070 and 6700 can do.
18:35All right.
18:36We are playing Call of Duty Warzone on our little console, if you will.
18:41Go ahead and drop control.
18:43But right now, 1080p, of course.
18:45I mean, it's a 1070, full screen borderless.
18:47We got max FOV, basic preset, pretty much minimum.
18:51We are running FSR 3 on balanced preset.
18:54Let's see what that does.
18:55Yeah.
18:56Let's see what happens.
18:57Obviously, we don't have no DLSS and things like that.
18:59And we are getting to the point where we're not getting any more driver updates on this
19:031070.
19:04But to be fair, I think we're just going to be bottlenecked by that 6th Gen i7.
19:06It's going to be the biggest problem.
19:08Yeah.
19:09And you know, one thing people have to remember about the whole driver update thing is typically
19:12it's not going to make games you currently run like play worse.
19:16So there are games that you play run worse.
19:18It's really just like the concept that future games, or if any game gets like a big engine
19:23update, then it may have some trouble running.
19:25But it's not like if you're playing Team Fortress 2, it's going to suddenly run like
19:28crap.
19:29But it's kind of what we expect for a PC at this price point.
19:30Again, we're only a little over $300 into it.
19:32And it's a smaller form factor build.
19:34There's always going to be a premium with that.
19:37But it's still...
19:38The PS ain't going to hold me back, baby.
19:39It still allows cooking.
19:42Some good old country cooking.
19:45Screw you.
19:46All my teammates cook.
19:50Yeah, I mean, you know, it's like 60 FPS, but it's smooth at least.
19:53It's not like we're getting lag spikes or anything.
19:55But, you know, just for fun, we will try seeing if we can get a couple more of this
19:58like frame gen or something.
19:59I don't think we will, but you never know.
20:01Textures are already struggling to load in, so...
20:03Yeah, it's smooth.
20:04This game is smooth brained right now.
20:06The hard drive would have made this experience a lot worse.
20:09Oh, gosh.
20:10We got a COD gamer.
20:11We got a COD gamer.
20:12Oh!
20:13Two out-numbered.
20:14It's going to be breaking with frame gen.
20:15Yeah.
20:16Let's try some frame gen.
20:17See what happens.
20:18I don't think it'll work really, but...
20:19You never know until you try it.
20:20Oh, oh, oh, oh.
20:21Alright, we're back in.
20:22Oh, I think we're actually getting more FPS.
20:23Maybe.
20:24Let's go back to Control Spirit.
20:25The drop is...
20:26Oh, that made the drops look a lot better.
20:27FPS-wise, does that look better?
20:28And...
20:29It's...
20:30It looks like it's still 50 FPS.
20:32Oh, my goodness.
20:33But it's claiming to be 100.
20:34Yeah, it looks a little chunky.
20:35I had the wrong gun out.
20:36Yeah, it feels worse.
20:37Um...
20:38Here's the strike.
20:39Maybe.
20:40Maybe.
20:41Maybe.
20:42Maybe.
20:43Maybe.
20:44Maybe.
20:45Maybe.
20:46Maybe.
20:47Maybe.
20:48Maybe.
20:49Maybe.
20:50Maybe.
20:51Maybe.
20:52Maybe.
20:53Maybe.
20:54Maybe.
20:55Maybe.
20:56Maybe.
20:57Maybe.
20:58Maybe.
20:59Maybe.
21:00Maybe.
21:01Maybe.
21:02Maybe.
21:03Maybe.
21:04I need to drop it.
21:05Digging some...
21:06Okay, there we go.
21:07Let's just do...
21:08Can we just do the balanced...
21:09Turn framegen off?
21:10Do you want to add framegen off?
21:11Do you want to framegen off?
21:12I think it is off, right?
21:13Right there.
21:14Oh.
21:15You can still run FSR framegen with image scaling, which is goofy as hell.
21:16Maybe.
21:17We're cpu bound.
21:18Because, we're not, the GPs not even hitting them 10%.
21:20At times.
21:21They're going backward between 90 to 100%.
21:22And that metric where it shows 80 to 90%, that's across all cores, that theoretically,
21:24that are like pinged at 100%.
21:26So we are CPU bottom, ladies and gentlemen.
21:28Oh, it's getting chunky.
21:30Oh, I didn't realize those were my teammate.
21:34Oh, we hit those?
21:36Oh, I could imagine.
21:38Oh, what the heck?
21:40Oh.
21:41Oh, God.
21:42Oh, oh, that was a bot.
21:46I thought, it reminds me of Fortnite Blitz.
21:48I love this mode because people just kind of funnel to you.
21:49They're not great.
21:50Oh, all right.
21:52Has this always been here, or did they add this?
21:55Um, is my teammate okay?
21:58All right.
21:59If you're using the gun, I'm using Glen Force 3 all the time.
22:02Glen T's good.
22:03Oh.
22:04We break down.
22:05We pushed these.
22:06Oh.
22:07Oh, no.
22:08I'm getting double teamed.
22:10Ah.
22:11Face.
22:12We hit those, McAllister.
22:15Oh, oh, oh.
22:17Oh, McAllister, you better do a face montage of that.
22:20Like, he's sitting still, bro.
22:22All right.
22:23Well, Call of Duty, 60 FPS, console experience.
22:25Built in benchmark time.
22:27All right, ladies and gents.
22:28We are $313 into our little Asus gaming PC.
22:32And I gotta say, taking apart was actually kind of fun.
22:35It was complicated.
22:36So, for the average user at home, this would not be a fun teardown.
22:39But for Matt and I, who just love taking things apart, it was pretty cool.
22:42A lot of different parts, and the layout was just crazy.
22:45There's so many screws.
22:46But we got this thing really cleaned up on the inside, and I think we got a little extra performance.
22:50And we played a little more games to show you guys what else it can do.
22:53And the games we tested are as follows.
22:54We ran Cyberpunk.
22:561080p low settings.
22:57Got an average of 65 FPS.
22:58A minimum of 50.
22:59A max of 83.
23:00Lies of P.
23:011080p medium settings.
23:02Got an average of about 90 FPS.
23:03A few stutters here and there.
23:04Just to show you guys you can play some Souls-like more controller-based games if you wanna put
23:08this in a console setup.
23:09And for three more times, we got a score of 5,536, which is a 6 cents per point score.
23:15And that's actually pretty good for a PC that is not only compact, but also really cheap off of eBay used.
23:20So, I hope you guys enjoyed this little eBay find of a PC.
23:23It's a pretty cool system.
23:24And if you wanna shop for one yourself, use a link down below.
23:26It's a filled link.
23:27It will help us out.
23:28I've seen these go anywhere between about 350 to the 250 that we paid, depending on which spec you go for.
23:33So, if you do pick one up, they could be a good little home theater setup or just a PC for someone balling on a budget.
23:37But I wanna hear from you guys.
23:39What do you think down below?
