Delegation members and media personnel burst into laughter at the end of a press conference during the bilateral meeting between US President Donald Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney in the White House on Oct 7.

Trump praised on Carney, calling him a "great leader" but "tough negotiator" but when pressed on why no trade deal had been reached yet with Canada, Trump quipped: "Because I want to be a great man too".

00:00President Trump, sir, your message to Israel on the second anniversary of the Hamas attacks.
00:16Will you talk about ending the trade war?
00:20He's a great prime minister. I mean, he could represent me anytime. I will tell you, you know,
00:24I'm not saying that because no, he is a very strong, very good leader. He's a he's a nice man,
00:31but he could be nasty. He could be very nasty. Maybe as nasty as anybody. I think I think the
00:38candidate. Let me put it this way. I can tell you this because I deal with lots of leaders all over
00:42the world. He is he's a world class leader. He's a man that knows what he wants. And I'm not surprised
00:51to see that he won the election and won it substantially. And I would think he's more
00:55popular now. He's a good man. He does a great job, but he's a tough negotiator.
01:05So then what's holding things up? If he's a great man and you want to do a deal with Canada,
01:09why aren't you? Because I want to be a great man, too.
01:16Thank you very much. Thank you.
