00:00Whether you're an experienced cruiser, a first time seafarer or keen to make a splash, there's one thing we Brits are all on board with, we love cruising.
00:20I'm going to change, are you changing it?
00:24British demand for cruises is higher than ever.
00:27I was really desperate to see the captain, I was hoping and praying that I'd see him.
00:32There's romantic locations, breathtaking views, exciting activities, and treats and tipples galore.
00:46This is the life, this is the life.
00:48With surprises.
00:50Oh wow.
00:52And new adventures around every corner.
00:55It's odds on.
00:57Oh wow.
00:58We saw the dolphins, it was amazing.
01:00Our fun-loving Brits at sea will love the cruise.
01:04Travelling on board ambition this week are experienced cruisers and BFFs, Kerry and Julie.
01:19I could not put a number on how many cruises I have done in my lifetime.
01:24I mean ten years is a long time to spend at sea anyway.
01:27It's an experience that I will continue to do until somebody's throwing me over the side.
01:31I've always had a lust for travel ever since I was a teenager when I went on my first holiday with some girlfriends in Greece.
01:38Loved the freedom of just being in the sea.
01:41Yeah, definitely recommend it to anybody.
01:43Yesterday, Kerry and Julie threw themselves into all things Andalusian in the city of Cadiz, where they indulged in a little flamenco.
01:57It's really graceful actually, the flamenco dance move.
02:01And I think I'm not doing it justice, I have to say.
02:06Next up, a mother and daughter, Shin and Sarah.
02:09While Shin's a veteran cruiser, Sarah is a first-timer.
02:14I'm definitely not an avid cruiser, but Mum is an avid cruiser.
02:17I am. I love cruising.
02:19Everything's in one place.
02:21That's right.
02:22It's like a floating little world.
02:23Yeah.
02:24Also on a quest to soak up Cadiz's rich and varied culture,
02:28Shin and Sarah visited one of 134 naval watchtowers, synonymous with the area.
02:35Nearly there.
02:37Wow.
02:38Look at this.
02:39It's stunning, isn't it?
02:48Each day, our guests will discover new and exciting experiences on and off the ship.
02:55Starting in the naval town of Cadiz in southern Spain, its next port of call will be Gibraltar,
03:05before setting off for a day at sea.
03:09Waking up first this morning are best pals Kerry and Julie, and it's a big day for Julie.
03:14Morning.
03:15Good birthday, girl.
03:16Happy birthday.
03:18I bet you never thought in a million years you'd be waking up next to me in your birthday.
03:22Absolutely not.
03:23Absolutely not.
03:24But it's lovely.
03:26Cheers to your special day.
03:29How did you sleep?
03:30No, I slept like a log.
03:31I sleep better on a ship than I do on something that's not moving, because it is that kind of...
03:35Yeah.
03:36On a water bed.
03:37Yeah, but in the flow of the waves.
03:38Yeah.
03:39You know you're at sea.
03:40And I think here in the sea, here in the water and the waves, it's so therapeutic anyway.
03:44So, it's a win-win, isn't it?
03:45So, Gibraltar today?
03:46Yeah.
03:47I think today, since it's your special day, it's all about you, we're celebrating you.
03:52Yeah, exactly.
03:53We've got to do the whole clam thing.
03:54We've got to.
03:55Yeah, I think we should.
03:56We should do some nice things.
03:57Yeah.
03:58Go and visit Gibraltar.
03:59Slap the lippy on.
04:00Can't wait.
04:01Get your glad reds on.
04:02I know.
04:03And the weather's beautiful, I think.
04:04So, it's the day, yeah.
04:05I've never been away for my birthday, so having a birthday on the ship was really special for
04:08me, and it was, yeah, it was very exciting.
04:11I'm going to have had some breakfast in bed.
04:13Don't you ladies?
04:14I don't know if you have cup of tea, which is lovely.
04:15Breakfast in bed.
04:16Yeah.
04:17I'll draw the line at cooking your eggs and bacon on a cruise ship.
04:19I'm sure you could have done.
04:20Room service.
04:21We could have done room service.
04:23Damn.
04:24Yeah, we could actually have done room service.
04:26Next time.
04:27We'll do it tomorrow.
04:28I've failed on every level.
04:31One doer that are taking full advantage of everything that's available on board.
04:37Here we go.
04:38Hi.
04:40Is mother and daughter, Shin and Sarah.
04:43Thank you very much.
04:45Thanks.
04:46Oh.
04:47Oh, Mum, I think this one's yours.
04:49What's this one?
04:51This one.
04:52Oh, this one is mine.
04:54I think it was nice just to get up and not have to rush around to breakfast, you know,
04:59get dressed and go to another restaurant.
05:01It was nice to take it easy.
05:03Stay in my dressing gown.
05:05Yeah, relax.
05:06Have my coffee.
05:07I don't know where to stand.
05:09Mmm.
05:10I'll butter the toast and then.
05:12Looks like a nice day.
05:13Breakfast with a view.
05:15Cheers, darling.
05:17Oh, pink cups.
05:18Oh, they're glass.
05:19Oh, yeah.
05:20Thought they were going to be plastic.
05:23Very fancy.
05:24It's really important to have breakfast at the start of the day.
05:27You know, it sets you up for the rest of the day.
05:29Because it's good for you.
05:30It gets all the levels balanced as well.
05:32Starts the digestive system.
05:34Don't skip breakfast.
05:36Thanks, Sarah.
05:37Tip noted.
05:38Just have some breakfast.
05:40Right.
05:41Shall I go get ready then?
05:43Yeah.
05:44Well, let me in that bathroom.
05:45All right.
05:46Me first.
05:47Lovely, that.
05:51Gibraltar is famous for its iconic two-million-year-old rock, wild monkeys and underground tunnels.
05:59And a little-known fact, it was also the place that John Lennon and Yoko Ono tied the knot.
06:04In 1713, Gibraltar was declared a British territory.
06:11And despite many attempts to be taken over by the Spanish and the French,
06:16it remains a slice of blighting right here in the Med.
06:26Venturing off the ship first, a few miles out of town, are Kerry and Julie,
06:30who have headed to the foot of the famous Gibraltar Rock,
06:34to the fabulously majestically situated Rock Hotel.
06:39I thought today...
06:40Wow!
06:41...we would come here.
06:42This is gorgeous, isn't it?
06:43Oh, that's beautiful!
06:44Because we need to celebrate your birthday in style.
06:46Oh, my God!
06:50Really, really good afternoon tea.
06:51Oh, thank you.
06:52That's lovely.
06:53And I want to treat you today like the queen that you are.
06:55Can't wait.
06:56Looking forward to it.
06:57Lovely.
06:58The Rock Hotel has been a magnet for royalty
07:03and the rich and famous throughout the decades.
07:08And it's had esteemed guests such as Sir Winston Churchill,
07:11Errol Flynn, Alec Guinness,
07:13and even the great Bond himself, Sean Connery.
07:17So if the sarnies and cake were good enough for them,
07:20they'll definitely be good enough for our girls.
07:23Oh, wow.
07:24Look at that.
07:27Oh, that's my blue.
07:28That's my chair.
07:29Oh, is that your chair?
07:30Excuse me.
07:31Sorry.
07:32Whose birthday is it?
07:33I'm taking centre-stage, Jasper.
07:34Whose birthday is it?
07:36Beautiful view.
07:37Isn't it lovely?
07:38It's so lovely.
07:39Yeah.
07:40Oh, thanks, Kerry.
07:41You're very welcome.
07:42How did you sort of miss someone?
07:44Well, I did a little bit of research.
07:45Is that when you disappeared the other day?
07:47I was looking for somewhere not properly special
07:49and I heard this place was really, really highly recommended.
07:52The kitchen have taken care of every little detail.
07:55There's even a handmade cake for Julie.
07:59Wow.
08:00Sandwiches and cake.
08:01Oh, look at that.
08:02Oh, no.
08:03It's massive, isn't it?
08:04That looks gorgeous.
08:05Yeah.
08:06It was so lovely.
08:07I love it.
08:08Who doesn't like an afternoon tea on their birthday?
08:10It's beautiful.
08:11This is perfect.
08:13I can't believe how lovely this view is.
08:16It is.
08:17It's amazing, isn't it?
08:18Thank you so much.
08:19It's really lovely.
08:21Cheers to the birthday girl.
08:24Chin, chin.
08:25Mmm.
08:26Do we just tuck in or...?
08:28I hope so, can we?
08:29I'm going to start with a sandwich.
08:31What one?
08:32I'm just going to knock everything over, aren't I?
08:34I'll have a smoked salmon, yeah.
08:35I'll have a smoked salmon.
08:36Oh, no.
08:37That's a triple one, sorry.
08:38Is it?
08:39Yeah.
08:40Do you want half of it?
08:41What's this?
08:42Coronation chicken.
08:43Look.
08:44Yeah, look.
08:45This is so fresh.
08:46Oh, thank you.
08:47I'll share.
08:48Do you want some of this chicken?
08:49I'll turn it with my fingers now.
08:51Of course.
08:52I love little finger sandwiches, because I could eat lots of them, because I do love
08:59a sandwich, actually.
09:00It was a quintessential English tea.
09:02It was, it was.
09:03In Gibraltar.
09:04What a lovely surprise.
09:06I know it's not the norm for you to be away from home, so...
09:10Yeah, but...
09:11You know what I like?
09:13And where there's bubbles, there's Julie.
09:15Absolutely.
09:16I can't remember having a cup of tea, though.
09:18I don't remember just drinking.
09:19No.
09:20It was bubbles.
09:21Bubbles.
09:22This is better than a cup of tea, isn't it?
09:24Oh, gotcha.
09:25I love the bubbles.
09:28Today is the second shore visit of our week-long cruise.
09:35And the ship is docked in Gibraltar, soaking up the Mediterranean sunshine.
09:43Intrepid explorers, mother and daughter Shin and Sarah, have left the luxury of the ship
09:48behind them, to hit the streets and find out what makes this tourist hotspot tick.
09:50Wow, so here we are, Gibraltar.
09:51Yeah, good to be back.
09:52I've never been here.
09:53How long were you here last?
09:54Oh, before you were born, darling.
09:5535 years ago, I see.
09:56Looks great.
09:57Yeah.
09:58So I think these originally were bomber-proof barracks, I think, in 1817.
09:59And now you can see that they're all different shops.
10:00They're all different shops and stuff.
10:01Didn't you, history?
10:02Yeah, well, I think that's the rest of these built-in houses.
10:03That's what they're still there, isn't it?
10:04It's beautiful.
10:05And they're all and we can't get this into the world.
10:06The first desolated houses, the whole life of the business, the whole life of the
10:07society, are there people who just Приno.
10:08Are there people who realize that they're staying in the middle of the city?
10:09Well, to and it's a place that we're really not worth it to do in a row like this.
10:10And that's what we're thinking.
10:11A'r.
10:12It's so much more than the stars.
10:13And it's not best to be here.
10:14Yeah, I wouldn't be here.
10:15Yeah, I wouldn't like the stars.
10:16I still can see the stars.
10:17A'r.
10:18It's great.
10:19So I think these originally were bomber-proof barracks, I think, in 1817.
10:26And now you can see that they're all different shops and stuff.
10:30The new history.
10:31Yeah.
10:31So I'm excited to see what else there is here.
10:34Yeah, yeah.
10:34Because it's like England, isn't it?
10:35But it's like England in the sun.
10:37Spain.
10:38Spanish England.
10:39Yeah, well, let's see if we can find a postbox.
10:41Yeah.
10:41Just like the old times.
10:42Send a postcard.
10:43Oh, if we can find one.
10:45What year is it?
10:451999.
10:46Listen, people still like postcards.
10:50Yeah, so Gibraltar was definitely an interesting place.
10:54It does feel like England, but in the sunshine.
10:57My favourite thing was to go and find the English stuff.
11:00Look, telephone box.
11:01Oh, yeah, let's have a look.
11:02That's the same as England.
11:05You go in it.
11:06Oh, yeah.
11:07Go on then.
11:08Get in.
11:09Oh, hello, hello, hello.
11:11Anybody there?
11:12Not today, thank you.
11:13I've seen several old-fashioned telephone boxes, but not in the middle of a rock in Spain
11:19slash England.
11:23Talking of rocks, for best friends Kerry and Julie, their time away from the ship is a chance
11:28for them to enjoy the finer things in life and celebrate Julie's birthday.
11:32I wonder if you can actually see our ship from here.
11:37Do you know what, actually?
11:38If you crane your neck slightly, just look more to the right there.
11:42Oh, yeah.
11:42Can you see it?
11:43I actually can, yeah.
11:44When you did your cruising, when you worked on the liners, I mean, you loved that life,
11:51didn't you?
11:51I mean, I've always said, and I've had two children, but I've always maintained that's
11:56the best decade of my entire life.
11:58Was it?
11:58Yeah.
11:59Hands down, without a doubt.
12:01I think it was just that whole feeling of feeling like a unit.
12:03And then everything that happens on that particular void is unique, trip by trip.
12:09It's like a home from home.
12:10So every time I go on a ship, I'm as excited as I was the first day I set foot on board
12:15as a brand new staff member in my 20s.
12:18So, yeah, it's never not exciting for me.
12:20I've been everywhere from, like, Alaska to Zanzibar.
12:22I know.
12:23And everywhere in between.
12:23I know, you've been all over the world.
12:25And I'm still continuing to do it.
12:26Amazing.
12:27Well, with me.
12:28With you, yes.
12:29Here's to the first of many.
12:30I'm sharing all my sandwich with you.
12:32So do you think you could have had a life like this?
12:33Yeah, definitely.
12:34Yeah.
12:34I think this is definitely something I'll think about doing instead of going into a care.
12:38home.
12:39Yeah.
12:40Let's go on a world cruise.
12:42Living on a boat.
12:43Live on a cruise ship.
12:44It's probably less expensive living on a cruise ship than it's going into a care home.
12:47Absolutely.
12:48Every time you do go on for a cruise ship, you're never really disappointed.
12:52I'm always just happy.
12:54Just look forward to it and make the very most of it.
12:56Well, my cheers to the birthday girl.
12:58But we have to get a wiggle on.
13:00Why?
13:00Because we've got more trees planned.
13:02Have we?
13:02Yes, we have.
13:03I had no idea what she was going to be planning.
13:05So I thought everything was a surprise.
13:07Happy birthday, my girl.
13:09Here's to many more weird and wonderful celebrations.
13:12Thank you so much.
13:13You're welcome.
13:16Whilst Kerry and Julie head back to the ship for some more birthday treats, mother and
13:21daughter duo, Shin and Sarah, are continuing their quest to find all things English.
13:26And I think they've struck gold.
13:28Look, post books.
13:30How do they do the post, though?
13:33Same as England.
13:35No, we're all fly.
13:36What do you mean?
13:37So it's still the royal emblem.
13:39Royal mail.
13:40Yeah, it is weird, though, isn't it?
13:42I mean, we still have them, but they're in the world.
13:46Are we in Spain?
13:47Are we in England?
13:48Yes.
13:48Yeah.
13:49Am I dreaming?
13:50No, you're not.
13:51Is this reality?
13:52Oh, that's brilliant, that.
13:55It's a very interesting place.
13:57It's unusual.
13:58It's somewhere that I would want to return to and explore further.
14:01Oh, definitely.
14:02Yeah, yeah.
14:03Sarah, look at that.
14:04Yeah, that's beautiful, isn't it?
14:06Stunning.
14:06It is interesting, like, the mix of, like, the Spanish shutters on the beautiful buildings
14:12and then, like, the interesting English shops.
14:17So has it changed much since you've been here?
14:19It's changed a little bit, yeah.
14:20There's quite a few more shops, more English shops.
14:25Gibraltar is a tax-free island, making it a shopper's paradise, as it offers familiar
14:31high street stores and international brands, all at a fraction of the price back home.
14:37But Shin has her eye on a local maker's market.
14:41Oh, Sarah, look at little turtles.
14:43That's cute.
14:44They are cute.
14:45Very nice.
14:45Look at them.
14:46Oh, do you like them?
14:47They're pretty.
14:48Oh, my God, that is super cute.
14:50What is it?
14:51A hot dog.
14:52That is a hot dog.
14:53That is super cute.
14:56Oh, I always find the market wherever we go.
14:59I've got a nose for it.
15:00If I can spot some kind of market, I'm on my way.
15:04I'll love a bargain, so I'm in there.
15:08Magnets.
15:09Oh, yeah.
15:09You want it to be a magnet?
15:10Yeah, yeah.
15:10How do you get one?
15:11Looks like it could be anywhere, so you need to pick as if it looks a bit more like it's
15:15It's got to be that one, then.
15:16Yeah, get that one.
15:17My monkey one.
15:18Monkey one's here.
15:19No, I don't want a big one.
15:20I don't want a little one.
15:21That one?
15:21Yeah, yeah.
15:22Please, can I have that?
15:24You've got some money.
15:25Yeah.
15:25So on the fridge, there's hundreds of fridge magnets from everywhere that she's been.
15:32There's almost no room for food.
15:33There's that many fridge magnets on board.
15:35Thank you very much.
15:39Great.
15:39Thanks.
15:40That's lovely.
15:41Very good.
15:42Bunting off the bucket list.
15:44So as you get older, you forget where you've been sometimes.
15:49I don't have to look at my fridge and it reminds me I've been to Australia, I've been to Ireland,
15:53I've been to Cadiz, you know, and now I'm at Gibraltar again.
15:57Leaving Shin and Sarah marvelling in magnet heaven, back on the ship, Julie is off for
16:05a birthday beauty treatment at the onboard spa.
16:09Lucky you, Julie.
16:11Hello, good afternoon.
16:13Hi, good afternoon.
16:14I've got a pedicure at three o'clock.
16:16Kerry did another lovely surprise for me, which was a pedicure.
16:20You've got to have pretty feet on holiday.
16:22You've got your feet out.
16:23And we all love getting pampered.
16:25OK, Julie, what colour do you prefer?
16:28I think similar to what I've got.
16:30Something in pink.
16:32All right, let me show you some of the colour.
16:35This is pink with the shimmer, OK?
16:38I love that.
16:38Yeah, I love that.
16:39Shall we do this one?
16:39Yeah, that's beautiful.
16:41Very nice.
16:43I love that colour.
16:45We're going to remove this one.
16:47OK.
16:47I'm a little bit ticklish, so I might go flinch.
16:50It's OK.
16:55Is it hurting?
16:58No, not at all.
16:59You're very gentle.
17:03So, yeah, I had a really lovely relaxation.
17:07And, again, Kerry went off and did whatever she was doing.
17:10And I was just chilled.
17:12It was beautiful.
17:12Ten years at sea is paying off for Kerry, as she's come up with a cunning plan to transform
17:19the cabin into a birthday bonanza.
17:22Julie's gone to the spa.
17:24I've arranged her to have a pedicure.
17:25And little does she know, but I've been ferreting away.
17:27I've got balloons.
17:28I've got decorations.
17:32I might as well blow them all up.
17:34The more, the merrier.
17:35We're going to be awash with balloons.
17:38We've organised cake.
17:41And bubbles.
17:43And birthday banners.
17:45And, of course, she's got a little tiara.
17:47Because for the queen that she is, I can't wait for her to get back.
17:53It's making me lightheaded.
17:56I mean, I've known her for, like, 15 years.
17:58She is the most low-key person ever.
18:00But, actually, this will blow her away.
18:02Because I know she's away from her family.
18:04And I know this is going to be so important for her.
18:06Just to feel like, you know, it's been taken care of.
18:10And that she's feeling like she deserves to feel today.
18:13She won't expect this for one minute.
18:19This has been such a surprise.
18:21Kerry has just done above and beyond for me for my birthday.
18:26And this is what friendship's all about.
18:27She has really thought about everything.
18:29She knows exactly what I like.
18:32And, yeah, this is the best treat.
18:34It's lovely.
18:34She's really made my birthday.
18:38It really means a lot for me with our friendship.
18:40And when you have friends, I mean, she's more like my sister, really.
18:45Do you know what I mean?
18:45So when you have these people in your life,
18:47you are very, very privileged to have someone like Kerry in your life.
18:50Because she is a phenomenal human being.
18:54Yeah, she really is.
18:55Back in the cabin, the final touches are coming together.
18:59The trick is now to get them in order so they actually spell happy birthday.
19:04I don't know what she's got planned,
19:05but I'm sure we're going to be doing something really special tonight.
19:07And finishing off the birthday, we've got some more celebrations.
19:11And nothing says celebration like birthday cake and bubbles.
19:15Well done, Kerry.
19:16Oh, it's got the message on.
19:19Yes.
19:19I love that.
19:21Oh, that is so nice.
19:22She is going to love this.
19:24You can just put it down here between the glasses.
19:27That's incredible.
19:28Is that made today?
19:29Yes, it's fresh.
19:30Really?
19:32Honestly, I think I need to have every birthday on here.
19:34Lovely, thank you.
19:36Thank you so much.
19:38This is superb.
19:40Leaving Kerry to the final touches of her surprise for Julie,
19:44back on the streets of Gibraltar,
19:46and Shin and Sarah's tummies are rumbling.
19:49I'm getting hungry.
19:50I am.
19:51What do you fancy?
19:52I think we should try some fish and chips.
19:55Fish and chips, definitely.
19:56Do you think they'll be as good as home?
19:58I don't know, really.
19:59We should try some.
20:00Let's go find out.
20:01Let's find out.
20:03So we love fish and chips, don't we, as a family.
20:06It's a bit of a tradition.
20:07Like, I think I sort of grew up with traditional fish and chips on a fish Friday.
20:12You know, it's a very sort of traditional English thing to do.
20:16Here we go.
20:18Roy's world-famous fish and chips.
20:19I can't wait.
20:21Fish can be any day.
20:23It doesn't have to be Friday.
20:24No, but fish Friday is like a traditional thing.
20:26With the chips and the mushy peas.
20:30So, we've got cod and chips, haddock and chips.
20:35Fish and chips, mushy peas.
20:36Cod, chunks and chips.
20:38I'm not sure they do them at home.
20:39Oh, yeah.
20:40Roche chicken as well.
20:42I want roche chicken.
20:43I want fish and chips.
20:44You want fish and chips?
20:45Yeah, mushy peas.
20:46Oh, they've got gravy, though.
20:51Hello.
20:51Can we order some fish and chips?
20:53Yeah, take our weights.
20:54Yes, please.
20:55Two?
20:55Yeah, two.
20:56Mushy peas, please.
20:57Yeah.
20:57On both.
20:58Yeah, yeah.
20:58Yeah.
20:59Salt and vinegar.
21:00Yes, please.
21:0135 and 40.
21:03Oh, thank you.
21:06So, look at that.
21:07They do it in both Euro and in GP.
21:09Ah, you see.
21:10So, I'm going to give you the English.
21:12There's 40.
21:14Yeah, that's interesting, isn't it?
21:1635, 40 or 46 Euro.
21:18Yeah.
21:19Yeah.
21:19Yeah.
21:19Yeah.
21:19Yeah.
21:19Yeah.
21:19Yeah.
21:19Yeah.
21:19Yeah.
21:19Yeah.
21:20Yeah.
21:21Yeah.
21:21Yeah.
21:25Bye.
21:29It's not a salad, but you're on your holidays.
21:30Calories do not count when you're on holiday.
21:32So, it's absolutely fine.
21:34They do not exist.
21:36You burn them off in the heat.
21:37That's why everybody's skinny abroad.
21:39But we had them on the beach by the sea.
21:44It was really nice.
21:51Wow.
21:52That is very heavy.
21:54They've wrapped it well, haven't they?
21:56They certainly have.
21:57Having fish and chips abroad is definitely better than having it at home.
22:02100%.
22:03100%.
22:03100%.
22:03In the Mediterranean Sea.
22:05Fish that's come out of the Mediterranean Sea.
22:08Lovely.
22:08Beautiful.
22:10I didn't know Gibraltar even had a little beach, so that was a nice surprise.
22:14That was nice.
22:14Surprise.
22:14The weather was beautiful.
22:16It was a beautiful, stunning view to be able to eat fish and chips on a beach like that.
22:21Bit different than back home.
22:23Only slightly.
22:24View's beautiful.
22:25Oh, yes, ladies.
22:27That certainly is a view to take in.
22:29It's a bit more Baywatch than Bradford.
22:32Enjoy.
22:48It's day two of our week-long cruise for our holidaymakers,
22:52and the ship is docked in Gibraltar.
22:54Known for its ginormous rock.
22:59Best friends Kerry and Julie have had a decadent time celebrating Julie's birthday.
23:05Cheers to the birthday girl.
23:07Whilst Shin and Sarah have been taking in all the sights.
23:11Hello, hello, hello.
23:12Anybody there?
23:12Not there, thank you.
23:13And now they're settling down for some good old-fashioned fish and chips on the beach.
23:19How's your fish and chips?
23:20Lovely.
23:21Fish and chips are lovely.
23:22I'm with you.
23:23So the fish and chips we had on the beach, they were nice, weren't they?
23:26Not really, weren't they?
23:27Yeah, yeah.
23:28They were like a taste from home, is what I would say.
23:31Almost as good as up north.
23:32Almost.
23:33Almost.
23:33Not quite.
23:34Not quite, but almost.
23:35Having a moment away from the hustle and bustle gives Sarah the time to reflect on what is important in life.
23:44You know, we need to make more memories like this and make more time together and this is why we do what we do when we get away together.
23:51Yeah, it's lovely.
23:52Yeah, it's lovely.
23:53It does mean a lot, doesn't it?
23:54It does.
23:55It means a lot to us.
23:56It makes them nice memories.
23:58I think the older that you get, the more you realise that time is precious and these things that you should be saying and not, you know, holding them back.
24:06I am very close to her mum. I do owe a lot to her. You're a very confident, very bubbly person. You know, the older you get, you realise, like, you watch rates you've got from each other. We are very close, aren't we? Come on, Christ, it's fine. I've got glasses on, you can't see.
24:24It brought memory back to me. Daniel, my son, passed away 20 years ago and obviously we're never going to forget him.
24:34But had Daniel been with us, that would have been lovely for us to have shared some time on a beach, having fish and chips with him.
24:44Yeah, so I think when you lose anyone in any circumstance, it generally does make you appreciate life more and makes bonds stronger.
24:52It makes you think about spending time and life.
24:55Yeah, and that's why you need to prioritise you, your family and your life over your busy schedule and your work schedule.
25:02So this does me a lot more, yeah.
25:05And that's another reason why we go on holidays together. We make memories.
25:12I'm only crying because you are crying.
25:16Got tissue?
25:19Well, you can't because they're wet, but never mind.
25:21No, there's one here.
25:22All right.
25:23I think it's really important to have that connection, isn't it?
25:26And just have that moment to take time out of the holiday.
25:31I'm just thinking about, you know, life and that.
25:35It makes you appreciate how much she does do for us.
25:38I'm very proud of her.
25:39And I love all her funny sides.
25:41Yeah, I love you too.
25:42All her quirky bits.
25:44It was nice, wasn't it?
25:45It was.
25:46It was good.
25:46It was different.
25:48It was a nice memory to make.
25:49Yeah.
25:50You all right?
25:50Let's have a dip in the water here.
25:52Let's see how cool it's down a bit there.
25:54Is it cold?
25:55Is it coming?
25:57Yeah, it just refreshed our sweaty feet.
26:00It's what I would say.
26:01It's not as cold as you think it would be.
26:03Oh, another one.
26:11As the sea came crashing in.
26:13There was a huge wave coming in, which...
26:16Washed our feet.
26:23Now, that was a good one.
26:27And it was lovely to spend some quality moments and time together.
26:31Yeah.
26:31Even if the sea was trying to reclaim the fish, it's fine.
26:36Woo!
26:36Ah!
26:39Nearly got it.
26:41Leaving Shin and Sarah grappling with the Mediterranean Sea,
26:45back on board the ship,
26:46Kerry is putting the final touches together for her bedroom birthday reveal.
26:52I love it.
26:54And Julie's arrival is imminent.
26:57I put in quite a lot of effort to making this cabin look really nice.
27:01I was really, really happy with how it all turned out.
27:03And I was just tense now, waiting for her to come back.
27:06Back.
27:06Oh, my God!
27:10Oh, my God!
27:10Oh, my God!
27:12Oh, my God!
27:14Oh, my goodness!
27:16Oh, my goodness!
27:16Oh, my goodness!
27:17Oh, my goodness!
27:18Oh, my goodness!
27:19I actually missed you when you had your nails done.
27:21Oh, my goodness!
27:22Yes, I did!
27:23It's a busy bee!
27:24Oh, my God!
27:25Oh, my goodness!
27:26Oh, my goodness!
27:27Oh, my goodness!
27:28Oh, my goodness!
27:29Oh, my goodness!
27:30Oh, no!
27:31Oh, no!
27:32Come, come, come, come, come!
27:33Oh, my God!
27:34Have you got any air left in your lungs, girl?
27:35Oh, that's so lovely!
27:36I know.
27:37They took a lot of puffs.
27:38And the cake!
27:39That is good!
27:40They literally made this.
27:41Did they?
27:42Especially for you.
27:44It was such a surprise.
27:46Honestly, I was blown away by what Kerry had achieved
27:50and done while I was, you know, when she'd sent me off.
27:53And then we've got bubbles.
27:54God, dear.
27:55Oh, my God!
27:56Hang on.
27:57It's got to be done.
27:58Hang on.
27:59Let me sit down.
28:00Sit on your throne.
28:01Like the princess I am.
28:02And she pulled all the stops out.
28:04It was so lovely.
28:05I mean, she dressed me up, put my crown on.
28:09Oh, I feel like Miss World.
28:10You are Miss World.
28:11I crown you Julie Bartlett.
28:13It was Miss Birthday.
28:14Miss Birthday I was.
28:16It was so lovely.
28:18Oh, hang on, hang on, hang on.
28:19I've got the best bit.
28:20Oh, Jesus.
28:21Oh, God.
28:22Elton John's got nothing on you.
28:23Oh, yeah, of course.
28:24Dame Edna hasn't got anything on me.
28:26Dame Edna.
28:27Thanks.
28:28Okay, right.
28:29Best cheesy smile.
28:30Come on, Dame Edna.
28:32That is quite the look.
28:33Is it?
28:34Is it a good look?
28:35Right, that's one for the family album.
28:36That's lovely.
28:37I'll send that to your family.
28:38Thank you, darling.
28:39That's so lovely.
28:40What a lovely surprise.
28:41Leaving Julie and Kerry to make light work of the second round of cake and bubbles of
28:46the day.
28:47Dig in.
28:48Enjoy.
28:49This looks beautiful.
28:50On the other side of the ship, it's quiz time and Sarah and Shin have just made it back
28:57in time to put their brains to the test.
28:59Oh, this looks nice.
29:00I've never been to the cabin before.
29:01Look at that dance floor.
29:02That looks lovely.
29:03Right, we need to think of a quiz name as well.
29:05Yeah, yeah.
29:06Team name.
29:07What about little and large?
29:08Hmm.
29:09Um.
29:10Um.
29:11Bigfoot, Littlefoot?
29:12Not sure.
29:13Loving life?
29:14Loving life.
29:15All right, we'll have that then.
29:16That's the one.
29:17I wonder how many questions we'll get there.
29:18Yeah, none.
29:19Zero.
29:20No, we will.
29:21But it's about the taking part, isn't it?
29:22Yeah, we will.
29:23We'll get at least a couple right.
29:24Yeah, maybe.
29:25Maybe we'll surprise ourselves.
29:26Well, a very good evening, folks.
29:27How are we?
29:28Are we well?
29:29Woo!
29:30Yes, did we have a nice day in Gibraltar today?
29:31Yeah.
29:32I hope you had a lovely day and welcome to your nice and easy trivia.
29:47All right then, folks, we're going to get straight into it then.
29:50Pencils and minds at the ready.
29:52This is your first question.
29:54The 2026 Winter Olympic Games will be held in which country?
30:00My back garden.
30:02Now, Sarah, that's just silly.
30:04You have any idea?
30:05Any scoobies?
30:06I mean, you should know with all Olympic stuff you've done.
30:09Yeah, but it's cold.
30:10I don't do cold.
30:11No way.
30:13Ooh, go on.
30:14Well done, Shin.
30:15Not a bad guess.
30:17Which spirit is traditionally used to make a Singapore sling cocktail?
30:23The Holy Spirit.
30:25No, it's...
30:26What?
30:27Have we never heard of that one?
30:28I think it's...
30:29Is it right?
30:30I don't even drink and I think it's gin.
30:32I think you're right.
30:33The characters, Dick Dastardly, Penelope Pitstop, all appear in which 1968...
30:41I'll let you have this one.
30:42...Hannah Barbara animated series?
30:44You don't need to whisper.
30:46I presume everybody knows.
30:47Catch the Pigeon.
30:48I'll know it.
30:49Catch the Pigeon?
30:50I'm not sure I know that one.
30:52Is it called Wacky Races?
30:53Wacky Races, yeah.
30:54So the characters...
30:55Oh yes, I do know that one.
30:57Penelope Pitstop.
30:58All right then, moving on now.
30:59A size zero in US measurements is equivalent to which size of ladies' clothes in the UK?
31:07Skinny, that's all I know that is.
31:09In which venue are the World Snooker Championships held each year?
31:15If you get this one...
31:16Oh, if I get that wrong, you need to throw me off-board.
31:18I need to throw you off-board.
31:20So I worked there, so...
31:22I work on the championships, yeah, so...
31:24Oh, well, I've got one point. Guaranteed one point.
31:26Which popular party game was sold with the slogan,
31:30The game that will tie you up in knots?
31:33Interesting.
31:34Great game, this. Absolutely love this one.
31:36I won't even bar and I know that answer.
31:39Oh yes, I do know that one.
31:41It's a personal fave.
31:46No, lovely stuff.
31:47All right then.
31:48You know what to do, ladies and gents.
31:50Please find a nearby table.
31:51We're going to swap over those answer sheets and go through our answers.
31:56I'm not going to be able to read this.
31:57Whilst we wait with bated breath to see how the quizzes have got on...
32:02On the bow of the ship, Kerry has another surprise in store for Julie.
32:07OK, so I've got one more thing that I just wanted to tell you that we're going to do today.
32:11Yeah?
32:12It's the icing on the cake.
32:14And I've arranged for us to have a golden hour photography session.
32:17No!
32:18So we get three locations.
32:21And we're going to get a photographer, our own personal photographer.
32:24Oh my God!
32:25Who's going to take pictures of us.
32:26And the best thing is we get a cocktail in the mix.
32:28Ooh!
32:29Are you ready?
32:31It was a great experience.
32:33The photographer meets you and they take you to areas around the ship that we wouldn't normally or necessarily have known that was a good photo opportunity.
32:41And that was really special.
32:42It was.
32:43We had a little cocktail.
32:44Are you ready, girls?
32:45We're ready.
32:46Oh, hang on a minute.
32:48We're always ready for a cocktail.
32:49I don't want to stop.
32:50I've got a big.
32:51Ready?
32:52Yeah.
32:53Cheers.
32:54Your best smile.

33:03One more.
33:04Hang on.
33:05I've got her hair.

37:00i don't think they're gonna say that we are sailing away it's very smooth that would have a bit more
