00:00A reminder always from myself and if anybody take any benefit, alhamdulillah if not inshaAllah
00:17we try better next time, that the realities of Islam and the reality of the love of Sayyidina
00:29Muhammad ﷺ opens and flourishes with good manners and good akhlaq .
00:39And one example is important for these days that we live in now because the assumption
00:46in the formula always has to be correct that everybody doing their salah because as soon
00:52as you talk about good akhlaq they say, oh these people they didn't pray and the other
00:57ones say, no we pray, no assuming everybody is doing exactly the way Allah wants it.
01:02They follow completely the sharia, they completely do their fasting, their praying, their fasting,
01:08their Ramadan, their siyam, everything is complete.
01:11So the two variables are the same and they give us an example of how to rise and what things
01:21in our life if they come will stop the rising and it has to do with the realities of training
01:30of good characteristic and akhlaq .
01:33And what the community suffers today is that they following the principles of Islam but they
01:41left the schools of tarbiyah and the schools of manners and akhlaq .
01:48And Mawlana Shaykh's reminder always for myself is that our way is based on those manners.
01:55That it brings out the sweetness of Islam because you gain Allah's ridha, Allah's satisfaction
02:02and happiness, Prophet ﷺ satisfaction and happiness.
02:06And in one such example they teach us that live a life of training to be selfless.
02:16That this dunya by its nature is selfish.
02:23Selfish is that whatever you want is all that matters.
02:28This is not in relationship to the shaykh because the shaykh is trying to bring what Allah wants
02:34into your life because immediately say, Shaykh, I'm going to tell you something and you compromise.
02:40The shaykh is a pillar of belief constantly trying to bring to you what Allah wants, what Prophet ﷺ
02:47want, what Ulul Amr want.
02:49This is an example in our personal lives at home that live a life of being selfless.
03:00That we put on the mirror as a reminder when I'm making wudu is be selfless.
03:05Again, the variable is that you're always moving to Allah .
03:10This is not about people telling and that they want their children to leave Islam and follow
03:15me into business.
03:17This is all in the direction of Allah trying to reach the satisfaction of Allah and how
03:25to perfect the character.
03:27And all that Prophet ﷺ was given, all the ruhaniyat of the hearing, of the seeing, of the breathing,
03:34of the speaking, of the guiding people towards reality is that Prophet ﷺ cared more about
03:41his community ﷺ than himself.
03:45That he lived the life as an example of selflessness.
03:49If it hurt it didn't matter, if it was good for the community Prophet ﷺ did.
03:57Means that constantly teaching that it's not about what I want, it's not about me, it's
04:04not about my Ananiyyah and my Aynes and what I want.
04:08Is to remind myself on a daily basis it's about being selfless.
04:15That the self, the nafs, let it to go, what you want is not important.
04:20Means that in every aspect in our lives is then we bring it into our lives and begin to
04:27understand that every issue in our home is based on selfishness.
04:33If we trained in selflessness we would think about, this argument and this issue I'm having
04:40in my home.
04:41Means every subject that comes in the house you begin to think to yourself as a student
04:47of the way, is this about me being selfish and I don't care what the results are, I don't
04:55care what the effect on you is and I do it and life be destroyed.
05:03Everything you think about is about yourself, selflessness is that the choice I'm making
05:09right now is burning people, it's burning my mother and my father, it's burning my wife
05:16and my children or my husband, they don't care because walked in a selfish character.
05:26That selfish character will bring all destruction upon the self.
05:32And Prophet ﷺ was teaching that all this Islam is for what value if you're hurting people.
05:41That's how they want us to understand that everybody praying, everybody fasting, everybody
05:46doing all the usool but when you go home you don't really care about anything.
05:52You don't care about keeping your household together, you don't care about keeping your
05:56family happy, your mother, your father happy about your children and your wife to be happy,
06:02your community to be happy.
06:05Selfless means, who are the mukhlis?
06:10People you ask in the audience they say, no, no we're all mukhlis.
06:13Mukhlis is somebody who completely lost their self and they live trying to please Allah .
06:22They don't think about how they're going to save money and do all sorts of things.
06:27All they think about is, how am I going to spread the love of Allah and love of Sayyidin
06:32Muhammad ﷺ?
06:34How am I going to do this event?
06:36How am I going to do that event?
06:37How am I going to go out and to reach to here, to reach to there?
06:41How am I going to feed people?
06:43How am I going to worry about the people that don't know that this is a holy night?
06:49But they don't know that these are the barakahs and the blessings because selfish people they
06:55know and they keep to themselves and they sit at home.
06:59They're not accountable to Allah .
07:04They know.
07:05How come then they're not talking about it?
07:07How come they're not spreading the information about it?
07:10How come they don't constantly want to go out and to teach people, to reach people, to
07:16help people or at least help those who are doing that?
07:22Because of the selfish character, I don't care.
07:24If I'm eating, who cares nobody's eating?
07:27If I'm good and my faith is good, who cares nobody's faith is good?
07:31If I have what I have, it doesn't matter.
07:34Even in the home between the husband and wife, if I'm doing what I'm doing, I don't
07:40care.
07:41So, this is not the way of Prophet ﷺ, what do you think Allah going to judge these two
07:48servants?
07:49It's okay, you both did your salah but you cared only for yourself.
07:53What was the purpose of your salah?
07:56And that becomes the hadith when seven will come to Allah and throw their amal.
08:03But throughout it's the teaching that the amal, who are you coming to Allah with amal?
08:10If the akhlaq and the character not correct, not thinking beyond the self.
08:16That when you begin to care for your family more, my family wanted when they were all young
08:22and they were young children, they wanted to go places and it was Ramadan.
08:27In Mawlana Shaykh's teaching, you go and let them enjoy their ice cream and put it in
08:32your face and you can't have any.
08:34So what?
08:35Take a hard bath.
08:36You can lock yourself in the room and say, oh it's my Ramadan, I don't go anywhere,
08:39let them to suffer.
08:41We had to do it when they were children.
08:43We had to go everywhere to make them happy so that they felt content, they felt the happiness
08:49of life.
08:50Don't inflict upon them hardship, inflict upon yourself difficulty.
08:55This was our training in selfless character, that what I'm doing, what is the effect on
09:01other people?
09:02If I'm crushing my family, Allah not happy with you.
09:06If you're crushing your loved ones, Allah is not happy with you.
09:09All the salah in the world is what value for you.
09:14That's why they come and teach akhlaq .
09:16Everyone's making salah.
09:17Don't say, oh these people they don't make salah.
09:19No, everyone's making the salah.
09:22But what is the value if we're going around and hurting people?
09:26Then they teach even a deeper reality.
09:29That if they don't care for things that are coming because now the community reaches even
09:35our leaders, they don't care.
09:38They don't issue anything about holy days.
09:40They don't want to mention this day and that day and these benefits and that benefits and
09:46print out flyers and print out and distribute things.
09:49If there's not a prophet in it, nobody wants to do it.
09:53Not thinking beyond the self, I'm safe, it's okay.
09:56But how are we going to answer to Allah ?
09:59How are we going to answer to Prophet ﷺ that, what I gave you of faith, why didn't
10:05you go out and try to help?
10:07Why didn't you go out and try to be of service?
10:10Those that do, they are mukhlis.
10:13Those that knew that there was an event tonight, why didn't they hand out their flyers?
10:19Because they thought only of themselves, they don't have to do anything, oh people will
10:24come.
10:25If in ten people, ten people think like that, no, nobody will come.
10:31And everybody's like that, why you don't support your center and your masjid?
10:35Nobody else will.
10:36Me, I gotta count my account, make sure it's rising.
10:42And then nobody supports, means our whole life is based on being selfless.
10:49Now they warn that the realities of iman, what we teach at our center from Mawlana Shaykh's
10:55teaching, iman is something that can be judged.
11:00One issue in judging iman is that these are very difficult days.
11:06If you believe this is Akhir Zaman and you believe that everything Prophet ﷺ was teaching,
11:11was teaching even Holy Companions, that these are the last days.
11:17As a result of iman you should be teaching your communities that these are the last days.
11:24And a sign of iman is that your home should have supplies.
11:29Your home should have emergency supplies.
11:32Your home should have rice, it should have oil, it should have batteries, it should have
11:37lighter fluid, it should have everything that you are somebody who has faith and that you
11:44did the step necessary and then Allah to support.
11:48But can you imagine a zelzele come, a tornado come, a flood come and all the Muslims running
11:57in the street that where are the grocery stores, where are the grocery stores, where are our
12:01supplies?
12:02Is that Ahlul Iman?
12:03Allah said, why you didn't prepare?
12:06You thought I was joking?
12:08You thought my azimat was a joke for you?
12:11Now try to find food when the super store is no longer super.
12:16The store has three days supply.
12:19If the trucks don't arrive, you don't have food for your family.
12:23Then you sit back and say, yes we are from the people of iman, like a fire came and you
12:28got caught with your pants down.
12:31Why the firemen they have their pants, their shoes at the door?
12:34They are always ready, means their belief is ready.
12:38Belief is not just you come for Friday.
12:42They judge, Allah judging, saying, these abd they believe, their homes they're stocked.
12:49You put your supplies, you eat it and you refurnish it, put from behind, keep putting in the rice,
12:56eat from the rice.
12:57Use the battery, put the battery, put the oil, put the food for the children who are small
13:02and the diets that they need means that live a life of preparedness.
13:08And if it came you're safe and if it didn't come Allah marks that these are the people
13:14of iman.
13:15They live their life with iman.
13:18And then why aren't the people teaching that?
13:20Why aren't they going and disseminating and teaching people?
13:24Why?
13:25Because it's a selfish, it's a selfish world now.
13:28They take care of themselves.
13:30They stalk maybe themselves if they believe and they studied it.
13:33They take care of themselves and they hide what they have and they don't care to teach
13:38anybody else.
13:41But those who are mukhlas and that's why you see their jama' that the people who are
13:45mukhlas are constantly worrying about other people.
13:49They have maybe tons of food and many preparations because Allah is inspiring with their heart.
13:59Say, Ya Rabbi if you made me to be responsible for them, to teach them, to look over them then
14:06every aspect of their life I must be trying to prepare and to prepare them for these difficulties
14:13that are coming.
14:15Those types of people, they are lost.
14:18What we have now is everybody take care of themselves, do what they want.
14:23If there's no benefit in it, no need to do it.
14:25We pray that Allah open our hearts and open our understanding and definitely in these areas
14:32to prepare ourselves for difficulty.
14:35Prepare our homes with supplies.
14:37If you have small children, that you have diapers, you have all of the necessary supplies that
14:42you need.
14:43Look in Damascus, look in Myanmar, look all over the world what's happening.
14:48Don't think those are fairytales and the Qur'an is just the stories of old, but it's very
14:54much real and difficulties are coming.
14:57And to reach the level of Iman, we have to live a life of preparedness.
15:02And every day asking, Ya Rabbi don't let me to be selfish, don't let my desire destroy
15:08my family, destroy my life and destroy everything that you wanted for me.
15:14Everything is about compromise but never compromise in the religion.
15:18This is moving towards Allah , but life is based on compromise.
15:22It's keep my family happy, keep everything to be happy so that Allah be happy with me.
15:28Because Allah gave those children as a trust to you.
15:33If you abuse Allah's children, Allah will abuse you on a day.
15:37Allah gave that daughter, that girl as a daughter from Allah , Allah gave that boy as a son from
15:44Allah .
15:45It's an amanat.
15:47It's not my property to do what I want to do with it.
15:50It's a trust in which Allah gave to me.
15:53I have to compromise and make sure everybody's happy.
15:57Make my children happy, my wife happy, my family happy.
16:01And then I begin to learn how to make my community happy.
16:04Make sure that my community is safe.
16:07When I have events put out flyers, not because you were told but because you feel ashamed in
16:12the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ that you did absolutely nothing.
16:18That when you're given a task, make it to be beautiful.
16:20If you're given a task and you don't care and the papers are all falling all over the
16:25place, how do you represent Prophet ﷺ like that?
16:28I mean do it from the best and the most beautiful of what you have.
16:33And every task that you've been given, do it with love for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
16:38We should find that reward from Allah ﷺ, inshaAllah.
