00:00I'm trying to be incredibly brave and trust this process.
00:04Some days you feel like you've made a mistake.
00:07I am scheduled to have my facelift done on Monday.
00:11A lot of people are going to say, well, you don't need it done.
00:13But like, this is the best time to do it.
00:15I'm turning 50.
00:16I'm doing this for me, for my birthday.
00:18And I am having done an upper and lower eyelid left and neck lift.
00:24Very turkey, gobble, gobble-ish.
00:26I'm having my cheeks and my jowls done.
00:29He's going to put some fat transfer here.
00:32Maybe a little bit of sculpting.
00:34She was really excited to get the procedure done.
00:37So we did it.
00:39We did the damn thing.
00:40I was awake during the whole procedure, pretty much.
00:43And I could remember some sensations.
00:45It was kind of like I was in and out, a little groggy.
00:48So we'll see what I look like tomorrow.
00:51The lower incisions are amazing.
00:55You can barely see them.
00:58So I'm excited to see what my face will look like when the bandages come off on Wednesday.
01:03I'm just taking some tramadol.
01:05He can give me anything stronger than that.
01:07There are lots of parts of my face that are numb, especially my eyes.
01:11So I have to be very careful.
01:12And I'm dabbing them with that fluid that's coming out.
01:16I told him what the desired effect that I wanted, and then he did his magic.
01:20Just told him what I wanted, and he was like, okay, sign here.
01:23Here's the price.
01:24The next day, she got the bandages taken off.
01:27He said I could come home and shower, which I did.
01:29Too sweet.
01:30Feeling like this is good.
01:32Feeling like he said my bruising is really good.
01:34I still have my stitches in my eyes, which will come out a week from today.
01:39I used to have like these little freckles here, but they're up here now.
01:43So it was just for reference to how far he moved things up there.
01:46Things were going smoothly until a few days later.
01:50What seemed like it was going to be a simple recovery became much, much more complicated.
01:55Incredibly brave.
01:56Incredibly stupid.
01:58Incredibly brave.
01:59To go through this procedure by myself.
02:01Incredibly stupid.
02:02To mess with my face.
02:04Incredibly brave.
02:06I post this whole journey online.
02:09Incredibly stupid.
02:11To open myself up to this much criticism.
02:13Even though I see improvements, I still feel like, what have I done sometimes?
02:17Some days you feel like you've made a mistake, and you just try to be brave.
02:22And then other times I'm feeling like, I guess not, just my necklace.
02:26Incredibly brave or incredibly stupid.
02:29You tell me.
02:30She continued to document her recovery online as she went through some of the toughest days imaginable.
02:36Yesterday was one of the hardest days that I've had.
02:40Physically, emotionally, mentally, I was exhausted.
02:43I was questioning everything.
02:45But then something beautiful happened.
02:47And so many of you reached out with kindness and encouragement, compassion.
02:52It reminded me that even though social media can be dark and unjudgmental sometimes,
02:57you can also be extraordinarily human.
02:59And I needed that.
03:01I need that.
03:03I want to say thank you.
03:07Than a second time.
