Spain is weighing legal action against Israel at the International Criminal Court over alleged mistreatment of Spanish citizens detained during the Gaza flotilla interception. Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez said reports of abuse are being investigated and vowed to defend citizens’ rights through national or international law. Activists claimed harsh treatment, including sleep deprivation and intimidation by armed guards, which Israel denies. Around 450 participants were detained, with 28 Spaniards still in Israel as Madrid pushes for their safe return.
