In a fiery address, President Donald Trump lashed out at Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, accusing them of “holding the government hostage” amid the ongoing shutdown crisis. Trump slammed the Democrats for blocking key funding bills, claiming their obstruction is hurting federal workers and national security. The President vowed to keep fighting until what he calls “Democrat sabotage” of the U.S. government comes to an end.
00:00Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries and the congressional Democrats are holding the entire federal government hostage.
00:08I will tell you, a lot of Democrats want to get this thing open, too.
00:11They do. They're calling us and they want to, they just want to get it open.
00:15And all we're doing is saying, just play the same thing until we get it straight.
00:21And they don't know how to go about it.
00:24I mean, it's, and the problem is we really don't know who the hell is leading the Democrats.
00:28You have this AOC, I don't know her at all, but I watched her the other day.
00:34She said, well, if they want, they could come to my office.
00:38That's not leadership. You know, the only one that challenged her actually was Nancy Pelosi.
00:43And Nancy, Nancy's not looking too good. I don't know what happened to Nancy, but she's not looking great.
00:50But she, she was the only one, I give her credit. She was the only one that challenged her.
00:54But AOC said that they can come to her office and negotiate the Republicans and say, oh, I didn't know she was in leadership, but she's taking Hakeem Jeffrey's place.
01:04And Schumer's afraid that she's going to run against him.
01:08And right now he, I don't know, he can change. Life is crazy, right?
01:11But right now he can't beat, I don't think he can beat anybody. So he'll be, he'll lose in a primary.
01:18I would say he'll retire before he, before he loses in a primary.
01:22So I think Schumer's going to retire because he can't beat anybody. His polls are so bad.
01:26Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries and the congressional Democrats are holding the entire federal government hostage.
01:34I will tell you, a lot of Democrats want to get this thing open too. They do. They're calling us and they want to, they just want to get, get it open.
01:42And all we're doing is saying, just play the same thing until we get it straight.
01:48And they, they don't know how to go about it. I mean, it's, and the problem is we really don't know who the hell is leading the Democrats.

02:04That's not leadership. You know, the only one, the challenger actually was Nancy Pelosi.
02:09And Nancy, Nancy's not looking too good. I don't know what, what happened to Nancy, but she's not looking great.

02:52So we're here this morning for a cabinet meeting as my administration continues to deliver for the American people.
02:59Despite the radical left lunatics that shut down our government, you have Democrats that they've lost their way.
03:06They have no leadership. We don't even know who to deal with over there. At least they know who to deal with.
03:10We are, we have no idea who we're dealing with over there. It's like they have no idea what they're doing.
03:17Republicans have voted repeatedly to pass a clean, nonpartisan bill to reopen government at the same funding levels.
03:24We're not going to do anything only good for health care. We're, we're really, I think, become the party of good health care.
03:32And they keep using health care as a cudgel. They want to try and get everyone thinking about health care.
03:38We're the ones that are saving health care and we'll be making cuts that will be permanent.
03:42And we're only going to cut Democrat programs. I hate to tell you, I guess that makes sense.
03:47But we're only cutting Democrat programs. But we're going to start that.
03:51And we have Russell, we can talk to you about it if he wants to, but we're, we'll be cutting some very popular Democrat programs that aren't popular with Republicans, frankly,
04:02because that's the way it works. They wanted to do this. So we'll give them a little taste of their own medicine.
04:07But Chuck Schumer proclaimed this morning that every day gets better for them.
04:12No, every day, it's actually getting worse for them.
04:15And they're having a rebellion in the Democrat Party because they want to stop.
04:20And if you saw all of Schumer's, I watched last night like 10 different times over the years,
04:24he said, you can't shut down government. You can't shut down.
04:27And now he's the one that shut it down. So this is a confession that he's acting not to serve the people,
04:34but to serve the partisan interests of his party.
