00:00Iran says cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog is no longer relevant
00:06after Western powers reinstated international sanctions on Tehran.
00:11Foreign Minister Abbas Arraqji says the deal can no longer serve as the basis for collaboration,
00:17adding that the return of UN sanctions has changed the circumstances.
00:22A deal signed last month with the International Atomic Energy Agency, IAEA,
00:28would have allowed for renewed inspections and monitoring.
00:32But the agreement lost weight when Britain, France and Germany,
00:35all signatories to the 2015 nuclear accord, triggered the return of UN sanctions,
00:41accusing Tehran of violating its commitments, allegations Iran denies.
00:46Arraqji also said the European trio will have a much smaller role than in the past in any future nuclear talks.
00:53Tehran earlier accused the IAEA of double standards,
00:57saying the agency failed to condemn Israeli and U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear sites in June,
01:03despite its obligations under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
